- We're one day away from the 2024 NFL Draft. Let's look at what the evidence tells us that the Cowboys will likely do, but ALSO....
There are a few positions that aren't getting enough attention as potential premium picks for Dallas. We've gotta follow the Draft Commandments to know all the different possibilities.
Could it be a center in the first round? Got some thoughts on why Jackson Powers-Johnson, Graham Barton and Zach Frazier deserve your consideration.

Jackson Powers Johnson, Edgerinn Cooper and Braelon Allen in the first 3 rounds would be ideal.
I don't love C LB RB at all but if you hit I can be talked in.
I think trading back and still getting JPJ is best case scenario
On Jeff Fischers live stream he said Cowboys change their mind on JPJ. Fisch said his sources at the star say there is something about JPJ they aren't fond of. We will see if its B.S.
Its really hard to get excited about this season. Win 12 games so what. Been there done that. I do not see them going anywhere in playoffs again.
True - when the playoffs roll around Tank Lawrence will be tired...and Dak will toss an easy pick six...at home...
There are a zillion possibilities. Standing pat. Trading down. Trading picks for veteran players. Trading heavy hitters like Dak or Micah for draft capital . Trading up in the middle rounds.
There is nothing but possibilities at the moment.
I would like a center pick in the first round.

Center would also be my first pick! 2nd Round Left Tackle. And then idc 🤷🏽♂️ beyond that.

I think taking s running back day 2 is a luxury. I want to trade back, have 4 picks in first 2 days and get center, left tackle, defensive tackle and wide receiver
I want Graham Barton. Tyler Smith, Graham Barton, Zack Martin all next to each other and we’ll figure tackle out later

I want a center, preferably JPJ but any of the three are fine if we can trade back and grab one. I want to AVOID Guyton.

JPP has some health or injury concerns that’s why he’s Not the top C but who knows 🤷♂️ I want a C, OT, RB, LB WR CB lol probably need to trade back get more picks too many holes didn’t even address DT- hate loving Smith keep him at LG
@@dansimmonds9463 I’ve heard that a lot of the concerns with JPJ are getting cleared. But I’m no insider or doctor so who really knows.

One of my best case scenarios is Laiatu Latu falls to 24 I would be sprinting to the podium. I truly hope the cowboys just let the draft come to them and take the best player available.
Broaddus says some teams have completely taken him off their boards for medical
For the first time ever, I haven't watched a single Cowboys Draft Show that Broadus does. Last year was such a letdown I just can't do it anymore.

BPA over need. I am open to any position in the first round except TE and QB.
If one of the top 2 to 3 are there I want that pick. A mini wall in the middle is awesome. Pressure up the middle disrupts dak worse than anything and it helps the run game

@@moeperry3606 Even if Brock was there. TE in first round is not reliable. Too many misses. Cowboys are set at TE with Ferg, Schoon, Hendershot, John Stephens Jr.

In the draft cowboys need to focus on running the ball and stopping the run
I would be happy with T Latham falling to 24, but realistically not going to happen.......Any of the three Centers, Johnson, Frazier, Barton would be fine.... LTs Jordan, Guyton, Mims.......O-line is the key with two of the first three pks imho.
We at least need Guyton( Last Resort for me) , Barton, JPJ, Morgan, Frazier to all be there at 24 and hope KC wants to move up and if so you net you a late 3rd and a 5th in return for 24 and us dropping to 32 and if JPJ or Barton are there or if not then you go Frazier and you run that card in. Then try to land you a later round Gem/steal in Christian Jones the LT out of Texas. He went against elite comp off the edges the last couple of years. Dallas Turner, Chris Braswell, Will Anderson, Will Mcdonald etc... kicked all their asses too. You just solidified 3/5 of your OL for the next Decade+. Jones, Smith, Barton/JPJ/Frazier, Martin, Steel/Richards. We will be a top 5 OL again. Unless LB Copper or Wilson are there at 56 you go Franchise RB in the 2nd either Benson or Brooks or Wright or Allen in 3rd. #2 Rec in 2nd or 3rd round Legette, Corley, Coleman, Polk, Worthy, Mcmillian, Tez Walker. Use that extra 3rd to go get you a DT to replace Hankins departure. Then fill the rest of our LB, CB, DL, OL depth with later picks.
Center touches the ball more than any other player. INCLUDING the qb.
I would do a trade back... then, BPA at either T or C, in second T or C again along with LB (maybe Wallace), and then third round RB with Wright. Switch rounds for the LB/RB if that's how the board is looking.

Our draft last yr has been graded a dud, last in the league. When drafting for need vs best player available, doesn't work very well.

Not a big Guyton fan but ive resigned myself to being content with any OL they select in round 1 because they’ve earned the benefit of the doubt on that. If i had my dream (at least somewhat realistic) pick at 24? … Probably Mims, but id also be thrilled with either one of JPJ or Barton.
It seems like Hutton is a real possibility so I’m hoping he is Tyler smith. All the fans hate the pick but he turns into a beast
I agree with Jeff...the Prescott family is tiring of the Jones family.
Cowboys fan from Columbus Ohio. Jeff, I love big ten football and really want the cowboys to draft Braelon Allen in the 3rd or 5th round. Also would love to see Malachi Corley on this team next year.

I think the Cowboys are positioning themselves to have a cleaner CAP and more picks for next year and a new staff. This leads me to believe they will be trading back if possible for next year picks.
I hope we get Graham Barton. Dude just looks like he’s gonna play pro bowl caliper center for a decade
Trade back and still get JPJ would be a dream but what I think is going to happen is stick and pick Suamataia and we’ll all cry about why didn’t they trade back and get more picks.
This is a long term plan, not going after FA and spending money this year will provide Bill Belichick with a ton of extra draft picks next year when he becomes the next HC for the Cowboys.

Cumulatively, What could we get for Dak, CeeDee & Parsons? Between all the expiring contracts after this year, dead money & holes coupled with the way this team drafts in pain. It would make sense to blow the whole thing up and start over. What say you?
To speak on the lack of interest. 5 years ago we used to be able to get 4 or 5 families together to watch every important cowboy game... We're talking a minimum of 20 people.
Last season I couldn't get people together for a single game... And everyone said the same thing "as long as Prescott is here there's no point".
The calls I got during the first half of that playoff game were brutal.
Yeah Dak haters are pretty annoying and delusional. My grandpa is the same way, literally blaming Dak when he gets sacked because somebody got around the o-line

I think Guyton needs a redshirt year, probably a better second round pick.
I want a Center 1st. And I'm gonna scream if they take Guyton with the 1st. Im good with a CeeDee situation. Ideal would be trade down and get our C plus a 4th
Let Zak Martin go, try to resign DLaw on a team friendly contract, same with Osa and Cooks. Wow! A Dak trade would be intriguing, we could get one or two high picks, take the hit this year and start with a new coach next with lots of picks available.
Jeff, just a what if scenario to consider (not saying this will happen, but...): what if the Vikings uses picks 11 & 23 do move up to Washington's spot to get their QB... now armed with those two picks, what if Dan Quinn calls the Cowboys and says "I'll give you 11 and 23 for Parsons." I know Parsons is a generational talent, but when you play this with the news we've heard about there are people in the organization who have had their fill of Parsons, I wonder how much thought the team gives to that?!

Gotta trade back. Need more draft capital. Ideally, trade back 2x. Lions? Chiefs? Bills? Bills and chiefs both need WR. Maybe one jumps up. Lions need CB. Maybe hit them first. Just spitballing.
Trade down and take Frazier in area of 26-31 first round . Get an extra a 3 rd .
I want Captain Trade Down to be active for the Cowboys in this draft. Unfortunately I’m starting to lose faith in how the Jones are running this team.
Was Tyler Smith working with Duke before the draft? Isn’t Zach Frazier working out with Duke? Is Anyone else? I wonder if that could tip to a guy they love and trust can come in day one like Tyler with pro knowledge.
In round 1 if Murphy or Newton are ther i would take them round 2 center round 3 running back

I don’t want to act like we are great at linebacker but am I the only who doesn’t see the urgency? Like yeah we could get better but a linebacker high does not do anything fora team that has no WR2/3, CB4 with CB1 coming off an ACL, EDGE3, and multiple O line starters. If you told me I had to start one of Chuma Edoga, Tolbert, Nahshon Wright, Hoffman/Bass, or Damone Clark then to me Damone Clark is by far the one I’d pick ideally and not even bc I think he’s great hurt because who cares about linebacker

@@zackshortes6690 personally for me I wouldn’t take a linebacker until the third round the earliest ever unless I think he is Sean Lee. This year I wouldn’t draft a guy like that in round 3 because we have holes at way more important positions with better players available than taking a guy who will just run and tackle running backs. I view LB and DT like OL and RB, I don’t think LBers matter if your tackles can’t take up blocks
