It’s kinda crazy to see how good Felix’s speech has gotten. I can still remember when pewds was still doing Fridays with PewDiePie and to see the growth not just in speech but also his content is quite an experience.
6:34 hit deep, all my life I've tried to set goals to 'achieve.' Then I would get super upset when I don't reach it or I easily just quit because the goal ended up being harder than I thought.. I've never tried to set goals so that I build myself and for my own lifestyle- It all makes sense now... WILL TRY THIS NEW WAY OF THINKING. THANK YOU!!
Yea, thats the thing about goals, they often take much longer and are much harder than was we originally thought they would be. But as long as your still making progress and getting better each day, your still winning. Like right now I'm struggling with learning to eat vegetable in my diet. So I made a list of vegetables and started with 1 and learning to become very comfortable with that 1 vegetable. Once I have that down, I'll do another and rinse and repeat. I know that once I conquer the diet, should just be a matter of setting up a good plan and bam 6-pack abs and aesthetic physique.
I often imagine life as a game and goals as levels. Start small. You can't skip a level in this game, and if you try to, you are destined to fail it. It's kinda just like lifting weights too. You gotta start low, then slowly rise up.
Never compare yourself to others, always compare yourself to yourself from yesterday.

Couldn't agree more. I struggled with not having a few drinks after a tough day at work, because I got into a habit of doing so. It took getting a root canal to finally get out of that habit lol I have a much healthier relationship with alcohol now and my cats appreciate me coming home sooner too.

I've been watching pewds for more than ten years and I like how Felix went from screaming into a mic in video games to literally talking and analyzing philosophical subjects while helping the bros out with what he finds. Aww Pewds, this is very sweet. I'm a week and a half out from my pregnancy due date and feeling very intimidated. I have so much love and support around me, I can't complain about anything, I just feel overwhelmed with the upcoming HUGE life change. This morning, the overwhelm made me feel like staying in bed and doing nothing all day, but I knew it would be bad for my mental health, so I chose to get up and cleaned the house instead. It was nice to have this video come on while I did my chores. It provided some profound reassurance. Hey Pewds. Just want to say if you don't struggle with motivation, it's because you have good discipline. That's mostly it!
I think it's a little more nuanced than that but of course discipline is a big part of it. We're living in hard times right now with inflation, wars left and right and the pandemic that just happened. I think people are depressed right now, hence these cringey over the top motivational edits. It's a coping mechanism. Depression is high and motivation is low.
He doesn't need to struggle or have discipline.
He's set for life.
Worrying about procrastination / motivation is counterproductive.
It's like an anxious person saying "I'm not panicking, I'm not panicking!!"

Felix has genuinely provided me life advice and wisdom over the years that has actually imprived my life bc i actually took it to heart bc im a fan and i love and respect him. And he was the one to prolly get me to actually lean into my interest and curiousity in philosopy. I love seeing a new vid makes me actually so happy

I think one of the main reasons you don't struggle with motivation (aside from genetic factors), is the fact that you had a healthy childhood, raised by two loving and healthy parents who could provide what you needed to stay healthy psychologically and physically.
In our depraved, godless culture, it has become way too common for people to underestimate or downplay the importance of the nuclear family.
