Honestly, the best guitar tutor on UA-cam. As a guitarist playing only 4 months it's a breath of fresh air for someone to actually teach the songs properly so I don't pick up bad habits. You should make a Patreon, I'd love to support you with a few of my spare dollars a month.
P.S Thanks for teaching me NEON!
i'm a great Mayer fan since 2014 and never heard this beautiful song, thanks for sharing it :)
+SantiEsponja123 Check out more stuff from his as/is shows there a lot of great solo acoustic songs from them
I was so hyped when I saw that there was an unseen video in the subs bar and it was yours. I thought you had given up guitar teaching. Truly amazing how to piece out each detailed part of Mayer's most difficult songs. One of if not the best UA-cam guitar teacher out there Hands down penis up.
Hey Zartimus, I just found an old gem. John did a song called "Why did you mess with forever" on June 2001 and he never published the song as part of any album. I hope you can tab out the version since it has very bluesy tune and the song is so great
THIS GUY's a living legend
Mayer fans are always waiting for your tutorials
Thanks
Damn this dude is a beast.
Wonderfully detailed tutorial! Thank you!
I'm such a huge fan of your lessons.
You are awesome, man.
You don't know how much you've been helping me.
Thanks and keep the good work. ;)
Thank you for tutorial on this tune! Appreciate your patience to go through it throughly and completely! Excellent job! I've been playing for many years and covered many tunes with different rhythm styles but this one is so different! I've got it now and your video really helped Tx again!
Thanks Zartimus for the lesson. I hope we can find more new lessons in the future.
You are fantastic, sir!Thank you for all your fantastic videos!
Thank you very much for these, the level is very professional! Keep it up!
Thanks so much for posting! You've helped me so much on my guitar journey.
I just subscribed brotha... I love your lessons man :) and Im a big fan of John Mayer so I'll be watch and learning from you hermano
Long time, man!
Very greatfull for your work. Keep it up =)
Amazing job with these videos man. Best JM tutorials on UA-cam by far. Any chance you could make one about Everyday I Have The Blues from WTLI?
Thx for the hard work again.
Nice to see another great video from you Zartimus.
I expect you have a list of songs you're going to do next, but a hopeful suggestion (as I can't find tabs anywhere) is: If I Ever Get Around To Living, the live version from Letterman.
Love your work & keep it up :3
Nice! Wish more people knew his unreleased song so people would recognize them when I get to playing gigs. Another kind of green and good love is on the way are two other songs i like a lot.
thank you so much zartimus! !
thanks zartimus ! it's great
Hey zartimus - great tip about down down up - changed my ability to repeat this quicker / cleaner along with any other song. Good stuff!
Repeatability is the secret to quickness. For years I would watch elite players do this and not do it myself because it did not make sense to me. I used to alternate everything for simplicity and as an easy to follow "rule". turns out modifying a picking pattern to leave a bottom picked note on an upstroke so you have time to get the hand out and high and jam the pick into the strings again on a downstroke is a useful thing. Works great in fast licks win electric playing. Thank you Paul Gilbert....;-)
Dude you are awesome
Thank you man
Yo man, first of all your turorials are awesome dude. I was wondering if you are able to make a tutorial on the crossroads festival version of city love (the one with the funky intro) that would be amazing!
Thanks Zartimus 😆
hey man you are the best, please more lessons on eletric guitar,it is cool brow!!!
Great work as usual Zartimus!!
Would you consider transcribing "New Deep" from As/Is volume 4 with the killer solo?
Hero!
I wonder, how do you tab these songs? They're quite amazing; please continue to release these amazing lessons. While I know you might get this a lot, I was hoping if you could please take a look at an unreleased john mayer song called "Lifelines"? It would be great to share this song with all mayer fans! (I think there's an audio recording of Mayer playing it in a small bar or conference room of some kind)
I've been listening to this song for a long time... and I thought it was easier... damn I really need to practice :C
hi...really love your tutorial...I have a request.. can you do a tutorial on slow dancing in a burning room live LA.....the whole song...... I am sure...people will love it too... since it s one of the best live performance.
John Mayer should know about this channel and collaborate with Zartimus!!
Sweet shirt!!!!
nice shirt!
Could you possibly do a full lesson for Try by John Mayer Trio?
Hey, what about the Hummingbird vid where he played the acoustic solo in the intro? You said last year that you were working on it, but its some other version of Hummingbird lesson that you uploaded. I was so excited to see the Hummingbird title on your channel but its not what I was looking for :(
I seem to recall that, someone sent me a link to that (maybe it was you?). I think I chose a meld of the most popular two versions found out there. He's got a lot of improved ones floating around.
+Zartimus Maybe it was me ..that video is titled as 'John Mayer - Hummingbird - On his Own' on youtube. What you taught in this lesson is the part that comes after the different intro he played in that video. Your lessons are kinda perfect but I'll try to decode that intro myself.
Can anyone plz give me the tab for the intro of this song for the john mayer on his own 2008 hummingbird (which was also used in the documantary someday i will fly around 50 sec mark)
Planning any new tutorials? Good love is on the way acoustic?
hey zartimus.. i request you to please do tutorial on song "The Hurt" by john mayer..i requested u for the same song earlier also but u didnt reply..so pls atleast tell whether u r working on it or not.so i can expect or not!! thanku
Teach "Not Myself" !
Take your PICK! 😂
Hey zartimus ! If been searching for a good tab of tea in the Sarah by John and Glen Philips( ua-cam.com/video/MMe_vFSLur4/v-deo.html ) for a while now, but I haven't found find any, nor have I figured it out myself ( despite multiple attempts). If you got time and you searching for a song to do a tutorial on , I would love if you'd explain this one. Thanks for all the great tutorials and keep it up!
I'm waiting for walt grace... I can't play the way he did it. and my version is awful -_-
Please tab out "Half of my heart (Tokyo Acoustic Version) ua-cam.com/video/DrvioH_R_8U/v-deo.html. I love this version. It's laid back and funky fresh. Thanks!
ua-cam.com/video/nP1XCvAIV9A/v-deo.html do a lesson on this!
Thank you for your lesson, it didn't turn out perfect, but I tried heh) - ua-cam.com/video/L44eqDxw_Vs/v-deo.html
Seals and Croft this is not. 😑
Nothing that pisses me off more than when you don't start the video off with what you're teaching, how do people not know this by now?
Like the song Humming bird and all the guitar parts? ;-)
Zartimus it was an excellent I can't deny that but I myself and many others enjoy seeing how to play it before watching the full lesson
Lesson* forgive me I'm baked
Oh you mean a performance video beforehand. Yeah I started to do those now or everything. Not sure why I skipped this one. I might havto go back and do it for posterity ;-)
You should do a Joe banamessa hummingbird lesson on electric that would be kinda crazy
