This is a deep dive tutorial into the live version of Belief by John Mayer from his Where the Light is Concert video. It also includes the slide guitar and guitar 2 parts. I wrote the TAB using isolated instrument tracks pulled from the 5.1 blu-ray concert audio in an effort to get as close as possible to what was played that night.

Thanks for the kind words. You can play anything if you put the hours in! I really like transcribing these, it's like an archeological dig. I look at zoomed in looped slowed down video frame by frame, Re-eq stuff, waveform note detection, bootleg concerts the night before and, previous performances. It's a fun slog but takes a long time ;-) Who know six stings and 21 frets could hide so much information?
I owe you a big thank sir. Because of you I’ve learned so much on guitar. I take these John Mayer lessons and use what I learned to approach other songs.

Wow that's great stuff! What's keyboard chords on the intro where John Mayer solo's over? Are they the same with Dm7, Gm, C, Dm7 ? Thanks
The chords the keyboardist is playing in the intro solo are Gm, C, F, A#. Basically the Prechorus changes. (perhaps I should have mentioned that because it stood out to me during the transcription process).
Sorry if i am wrong but Dm7, Gm, C, Dm7 sounds right to my ear. What he plays as intro solo mainly is D minor pentatonic. So start and finish of keyboard chords sounds like Dm. Am i wrong? Maybe finding right answer here will make me get to play this song better.

I found a guy who had really nailed the belief sound and made some changes to his. I REALLY liked it so I bought it. I'm not sure if once remixed I can just give it out, but I can tell you where I got it.
