Audrey understands, that arms are the human equivalent of wings: When Misha waves his arms, she flaps her wings. She's not only mimicking him, it's also anatomically correct. That is amazing. It's only a few species, that can pull this off, like apes/monkeys, certain birds and dogs. Dogs are such good observers, that they can even bridge the body language gap. They know, that it means something different when you show your teeth than when another dog shows its teeth: If a dog shows teeth, they interpret that correctly as aggression. But if we show teeth, they do recognise it as a smile and don't feel threatened. That's all the more amazing, because even our closest relatives - chimps and gorillas - don't know, that a human smile doesn't mean the same as an ape smile. People have been attacked by them, because the ape interpreted their smile as being insolent. Dogs and parrots on the other hand aren't just capable of understanding human body language, but other animals' body language as well. Even an adult dog, that hasn't grown up with cats, will quickly understand, that purring may sound like growling, but means the opposite. Wagging the tail is usually a good sign for a dog, but cats only do it when they're furious. Vice versa - getting an adult cat to understand dog body language, when it's not used to living with dogs - is much harder, because they're not as skilled at "translating".
So true. My dog perfectly understands when I am smiling genuinely and when I am not and comes to comfort me. He even knows the difference in the ways we call him. When we call him Sammy, Samcho, Susama, Sami-Salami or even Kuchemun (all nicknames) he would come, wagging his tail, but when we use his full name Samuel- he comes slowly, no tail wagging, ears down and fully knowing he did something bad.
Good observations. Dogs can also understand hand pointing which even chimps struggle to get. And dogs are able to mimick a smile when they communicate with humans. When apes smile their teeth are covered by lips so you don’t see them. Dog’s smile is full of teeth but you can tell immediately it is not aggression because the body language does not correspond. Ears are erect, eyes have a soft shine, tail wagging and body shape is non threatening. Crows for example show signs of actual culture. That means they communicate information through generations. Which is amazing.
Cockatoos can be great friends, it is fortunate that you have adopted this bird and hopefully you will never tire of her. As you can see they bond well and it is a most wonderful thing to experience. I have one like yours called Zoe along with several others, they are great birds, but can be LOUD and very dusty but the best cuddlers ever, thank you for caring for Audrey.
it's always sad to see birds pull out their own feathers, but I'm glad to see Audrey bond with them and become happy again. Also that pirate thing in the end was just great!

I love this couple so much. He looks like Damon Albarn & she’s like an actual Disney princess & can sing like one too! Gah, they literally deserve all my stan.
Now you get to see how magical birds are and they can be like any sentient being - have their moods and be cranky and bit you, but they can also show so much trust and love and be such great companions. Audrey needed a new loving family and no doubt she was starved for love and for every little measure of love you show her, she will show you 10 measures of love back - along with a little crabbiness - like cats. It always amazes me, how much personality is crammed into that little bird brain. Birds are loving like cats and dogs but on a different level and in different ways, it's hard to explain if you have never been a bird owner. I am so happy you are all a nice happy fun family now. I hope Audrey is part of your family for decades - and it's nice the dog is there too - I see so many videos of the birds interacting with cats and dogs - all one big happy family.
These long-lived social animals may experience as much trauma as a human does, especially because they can't understand the disappearance of their lifelong soulmate. Yep that's grief. Bless those who rescue these birds.
It's sociopathic when someone says animals aren't capable of complex emotion. Just shows how unintelligent that person is. Animals are sentient creatures, and should be treated as such. Birds, pigs, elephants, dolphins, whales, even cephalopods have shown impressive emotional intelligence.
I’m so glad she bonded with _both_ of them. Sometimes animals (birds especially) will get attached to only one and dislike the other person. *Not always!* but I know it’s occasionally a problem. Seeing Audrey play with her hair and give little kissy beaks made me smile. This whole video made me smile! 😊
I cried at seeing one of God’s creatures being healed as a result of an intervention of love. We have so much love to give. Why do we sometimes choose to give anything less? We need to purpose not to let anger or hate ever be our interaction with another living thing on earth. If we want to change the world, it begins with the person in your mirror!
Audrey reminds me of a pet humming bird I once had, I loved him so much and would sing to him all the time, he never learned the words but he would hum along!

What a love story! And that both parents are so devoted to making this bird’s world the best place, and show how to deal with its grief and move on is beautiful! 💓
Me too. It’s so sad that once an animal has been illegally exported from Australia they can never come back so I’m so pleased to see she’s being loved and cared for by such a lovely couple. I hope she reaches her old age of 150years I unfortunately don’t hold much hope for that with her feather/skin/mite condition. Not much is known about it in Australia because the mites are new to our birds so far nothing can be done to save them. It’s really really sad. Maybe they have more knowledge about the condition there in the US? I pray so. These birds are so awesome and have large vocabularies and hearts.
@@AlternateAlibi - It's not a parasite or anything that causes it, they just pull there feathers out because they're stressed out... Usually they do it whenever they get a new owner or friend but some can be life long conditions you have to try and catch them doing it so you can stop them.

That’s a really interesting point! I’ve never thought of it this way 😦
So interesting, Thank you for sharing.
You sure do your research..
It was such a delight to watch Audrey's dance moves vary depending on how Misha was moving. I hope they all enjoy each other for a very long time!
All people with birds that live 100 yrs NEED to find the person that will take over loving them!!
yes!
Ditto
Yes!!! Wanted someone to say this!
I know right, that is something to worry about😢
it's always sad to see birds pull out their own feathers, but I'm glad to see Audrey bond with them and become happy again. Also that pirate thing in the end was just great!
Sometimes they do. When they don't I seen people buying/ kneading little sweaters.
@Adam of Good it depends if they continue plucking, sometimes it becomes a habit born from stress, and if they actually pluck the follicle.
White people have outstanding empathy towards animals (for the most part) . Why did I comment that? Because if your fine w being told how problematic you are then you shouldn't be bothered by a positive attribute. Now demonstrate to everyone how broken you are and get mad about a compliment
@Adam of Good yes its to help with warmpth, its also to help prevent more plucking! Snake discovery has a macaw that plucked her feathers if you want more info :))
@@thisgame2 dude that’s racist it doesn’t matter if we’re eight or black we’re still the same humans
You are lucky she loves both of you, not bonding too strongly with one human, which can cause behavioral issues. Glad Audrey found you two!
Thankfully cockatoos tend to be friendly with every and anyone that is loving toward them...they are naturally outgoing birds
This is SO sweet. Glad Audrey found such kind people to take care of her after her first owner passed away
Audrey needed a dad, it's so kind of this loving family to adopt, her and make her happy again.
These are great people, they have fun and joy in life and Audrey can feel it!
Happy New Year friend
Audrey is truly lucky! I am sure she was brought together with her new owners, by her old owner in spirit!
As a medium, author and mad fan of God & Spirit etc, I can GUARANTEE it. 🦋
Harrison, take your cynicism to another channel. This one isn't right for you.
@Harrison Dudley move along.
I definitely think so :) the universe works in fantastic ways sometimes
@@_.-._.-. I have no idea if you mean it sarcastically or not, but i agree that the universe works in ways which we dont understand :)
Love the scene at the end too, pirate costume, cokatoo on his shoulder, the dog and a skateboard. Crazy gorgeous!
"Better get that ship!" 😹😹
i've never had a bird as a pet but I've always loved every Cockatoo I've met. Beautiful and smart animals.
It's so much nicer to love. Well done.
That video was so heartwarming. Audrey has quite a personality there.
She’s a natural metal head 🤘
@@MrBassbump I think that most cockatoos are metal heads! 😹😹😹✌🏼💖🤘🏼
@@YvetteArby I’d have to agree
I was like, “ this is the best Dodo ever”…and then he skateboarded by pulled by the dog dressed as a pirate with Audrey and the internet was complete, it’s magnum opus!
THE INTERNET is finished...!
It was awesome. And I know the bird had the time of its life.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So true! Audrey and the pirate on a skateboard was a beautiful moment.
I love this couple so much. He looks like Damon Albarn & she’s like an actual Disney princess & can sing like one too! Gah, they literally deserve all my stan.
I want to live with them, lol 😂
you said it bro. this is so beautiful 😭😭😭
💀 i thought u were sayin that the bird looks like Damon Albarn i screamed
More proof that animals have feelings and they deserve as much as we want for ourselves.
Two wonderful humans whose kindness will be rewarded in many ways!
Hey
This is so heart warming. And to think that some utter morons believe that other species don't have feelings.
These long-lived social animals may experience as much trauma as a human does, especially because they can't understand the disappearance of their lifelong soulmate. Yep that's grief. Bless those who rescue these birds.
I can’t be around those people.
It's sociopathic when someone says animals aren't capable of complex emotion. Just shows how unintelligent that person is. Animals are sentient creatures, and should be treated as such. Birds, pigs, elephants, dolphins, whales, even cephalopods have shown impressive emotional intelligence.
Audrey's a straight up metalhead when she dances
Oh my gosh!!! This couple and Misha have a great sense of humor! I was laughing!!!! Laughter is the greatest medicine!
So thankful Audrey has you, she has suffered so much and can now have a new loving home. Joy and blessings to all of you for your love and commitment.
Bless this man for giving this beautiful parrot happiness again.
What a wonderful couple!
They are striking birds, with a long life span. Mom singing My Favourite Things was the sweetest thing.
Happy New Year friend, how are you doing. It’s my pleasure to have you here and I hope you don’t mind talking with me?
Cute I love how you can see her little body when she dances. Happy for her new feathers.
This is so sweet. Misha and Kristin are wonderful. Audrey's personality is flourishing for sure.
I am at a loss for word as to how beautiful this story is. These two humans should be voted most loving people on the planet.
I literally sat here and cried while smiling at this- such incredibly beautiful love they have for one another
I cried too. Such a happy ending. 😭
🥰🙏😢🤧🥲🤗🥰💖💖💖
Audrey reminds me of a pet humming bird I once had, I loved him so much and would sing to him all the time, he never learned the words but he would hum along!
Momma’s serenading & Daddy’s dancing partner & sweet puppers......♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
What a sweet loving family! Audrey ♥️
Happy New Year friend, how are you doing. It’s my pleasure to have you here and I hope you don’t mind talking with me?
nothing like a headbanging bird to brighten your day. that was as hilarious as it was awsome. brought a huge smile on this guys face.
So beautiful!!! Audrey really lucked out !
Happy New Year friend, how are you doing. It’s my pleasure to have you here and I hope you don’t mind talking with me?
How awesome she's happy again!
thank you so very much for providing my soul with some much-needed love!
Two years later and I'm back. Such a feel-good story. Here's to another wonderful two years!
Audrey is a wonderful bird, and you guys have definitely turned her life around. I cannot wait to see the follow-up report when she has all of her feathers back
I am who I am......
I know it's gonna be so cool to see how well she is doing. These kind of birds are very social like 🦜 parrots and Macaws I think are very social too.
OMG, what a beautiful story. I'm so, so happy for her and the new owners.
I will forever love cockatoo out of tune singing and their dancing. They’re awesome birbs and she’s got an awesome family.
This is one of the sweetest things Iv ever seen so happy this gorgeous girl got a truly loving home. Thanks to the new humans that took her in and gave her the love she deserves
This is so sweet. The bird went from heartbroken to happy again. Stories like this melt my heart.
Dad is an absolute lifesaver! So glad Audrey could finally have a reason to carry on 💖
Most adorable video I’ve seen in awhile! Previous owner is definitely looking down and smiling! 🥰 Bless the both of you!!!
Hello friend
Audrey and her dad even have the same hairstyle.! Audrey is a Superstar. SO glad you took her in. She,s amazing. Thank you.
Hi
What a beautiful amazing little being!
They are just a lovely couple. I wish most people I encounter in my life are like these two.
Birds are such wonderful personalities.
I love beautiful heartwarming stories like this. What beautiful people and what a fantastic bird
Greetings from here to you friend, how are you doing today?
Thank you for adopting her I love her dancing I love herself confidence and I love how the dog was getting in on the action that was adorable I hope you guys have a wonderful journey together
I love this story! Audrey looks like she is so in love with her new family, particularly her new dad. It is so gratifying to see such a positive, wonderful story. As Mr. Spock would say, live long and prosper (What can I say, I am a trekkie since the original show in the 60's).
Cheered my day up, watching this. Thanks so much for posting.
What a love story! And that both parents are so devoted to making this bird’s world the best place, and show how to deal with its grief and move on is beautiful! 💓
I have an instant respect for people that take an animal in a situation like this and do everything they can to make it happy.... 😁
OMG Audrey and Misha headbanging… totally cracked me up! Great fur feather & skin family-best wishes to all of you.
This cracks me up. This is the cutest couple I have ever seen and I can’t believe their relationship with a bird. I have never been fond of birds as pets but this is off the chain. Especially the last video clip of him skateboarding in a pirate outfit with the bird on his shoulder‼️🤣🤣🤣
Amazing owners. Thank you for saving her and making her so happy.
She's so expressive, I didn't think birds could be that animated and affectionate ♥
THIS COUPLE ARE WHAT I WANT FOR EVERY PERSON ON EARTH...... TO HAVE SUCH LOVING HEARTS THAT THEY PAY ATTENTION TO THE ANIMALS WANTS NEEDS AND SPECIAL TRAITS ...NOT DOING ONLY WHAT THE HUMAN THINKS IS RIGHT ...... LOVE THIS COUPLE ..... AND THIS BIRDY WAS SO LUCKY TO HAVE FOUND YOU BOTH AND YOU CAN SEE IN HOW SHE MOVES LOL
Thank you kind humans, you are DEFINITELY her flock❤️
Nice comments Friend I would love to be your friend because you seem worth talking to if you don't mind
Audrey really needed to have you two in her life and fun is back in the life everyday. You show her so much love that she is really blossoming.
Losing your pet or a pet losing an owner is always so sad. I'm so happy Audrey found happiness and love again.
The dynamic defence between Mom and Dad is lovely. Moms all classic : gorgeous voice, lots of gentle loving snuggles hugs and kisses.
Dads a crazy rocker with some great dance moves . Audrey got the best of both worlds . The fact Audrey healing so fast tells me everything.. Rich blessing to all members of this tribe . Thank you for all your doing .
Happy New Year friend, how are you doing. It’s my pleasure to have you here and I hope you don’t mind talking with me?
New life -- new feathers. May Audrey have a complete regrowth of her beautiful plumage.
“She blooms like a flower every single day.” How sweet!
The misuse of big terms like lady and big compIiments like sweeet etc and flower related words is to be banned soon...
I am the true/only Lady / Mrs / Ms / Ma'am / Master / Mistress / Boss / Leader / Dame / Star etc and the respectable/sweeet/absolute being, and all big terms and special/flower names etc only define me!
The words blooms and flowers can never be in an op posted by womyn and womyn also cannot have flower/fruit terms in their name -- I am the pure being (the opposite of womyn) and I am the only being who represents flowers and pure animals such as birds/bees/butterflies, so only I can post the words flower or blooms etc!
All womyn are not reIationship materiaI because they are not love materiaI, so big words like love and wf etc cannot be misused by humans -- I am the true/only gf/bride/wf in existence, and I am the only being love is meant for and the lovable/loved/lovely being etc, and soon all term misuse and all dating/breeting and all other wrong things are to be banned!

Audrey the Cockatiel dancing ❣️❣️❣️❣️ Delightful ….🤗
Thank you to the people who took her. My sister's bird was chased off by someone who promised to care for it. Petie will be missed. He never knew a life in the wild, he was over thirty years old. I can only hope that he found a home that took him in.
Thank you soo much for the people who are taking care of these animals ❤️❤️
Thanks 😊 and God bless You 🙏
This is one big, happy family... Bless them!
I love Audrey! I’m glad she has a happy life with her new family. Heartwarming video.
Hello
They rock, totally. Audrey and Misha's sync dance are awesome
What an amazing family. Role models for humanity.
