That's my mum who was searching her bags and found the shampoo bottles of drugs! ❤
That’s pretty cool! I hadn’t seen her before. Good on her!
Your mom has a cool job! She’s smart too 😼
I wish she would search me for drugs!
Say hello to your Mum for me! Best wishes from South Australia 🇦🇺 ❤
Please extend thanks to her and her team for their awesome work and helping to keep people safe!
Why would you think I'm lying? - probably because you overstayed your visa by 2 YEARS 😂
The attitude is ridiculous. You already broke the law. Why are you so incredulous that they think you'll break it again in the name of "love".
Ikr!
I came to write just that lol
why was he even allowed into Australia after overstaying for 2 YEARS?! so this means everyone can just overstay and enjoy a nice life in Australia 😂
REAL MEDICINE IS NEVER CRUEL TO ANIMALS
I guess you don’t know about animal testing. I guess you don’t know that much of “real medicine “ is copied directly from natural medicines.
Imagine an Australia when 800-900 a week was substantial haha
She is lucky she wasn't caught with drugs in Singapore, Thailand, or Malaysia.
Dada is death.
Cool televsion movie from the 90s. Look it up.
If traveling from Vietnam to Australia...how has luck got anything to do with not being in another country? Duh...you don't think people choose countries softer on drugs to import? It's not luck it's choice.
I grew up in Thailand and early on my parents and Thai relatives showed me the consequences of being caught with drugs. That was enough to scare me for life lol.
Indonesia too. Indonesia leads Asia in sentencing foreign nationals to death (142 people) and drug-trafficking (338) is the main crime for which people are capitally convicted.
technically those are not drugs, they are raw material to make the drugs….so………….
A mom with 3 kids, carried so much drugs, what was her thinking ?? All her kids will have nightmares ever since … insane
I saw 1 episode where the mother hid her dr-gs in the baby pram.
Astonishing how irresponsible she was. She has a duty of care as a parent.
Probably it was not her first time
I know I was thinking the same thing!! Then again maybe it wasn't her kids. Maybe she was just using them so customs wouldn't stop her. Like she would have an easier time passing because of the kids. Also they could very well be her kids. She was probably thinking that she needs the money. Money for her kids and her family. They (drug people) convinced her it would be safe and not detected. 2 years is not bad in her case. That's actually to me like a slap on the wrist. I wonder if she got a less sentence and outed the drug people.
4* kids
At a minimum, they need to wear protective masks in addition to their gloves. After that package from Ghana, I'd want a full Level A Hazmat suite LOL
Agree 100%! 👍
is no one gonna talk about the Voodoo box of nightmares?? thats some JuJu or witchcraft for sure
The customs officer was right that its for rituals. Definitely not normal things for an ordinary person to have; they are for practising withcraft.
Watching these makes me realize that people are absolutely insane. Dead animals...people hellbent on getting prohibited things smuggled in. Using innocent looks and children because they think itll help get the drugs theyre carrying into the country. What has happened to humanity?
Unfortunately it does help them get it in. That woman served no jail time. She was given an ICO. good example set.
@@peterRobinson10101 Im sure for every person that gets caught, 100 do not.
these suspect packages should be opened in sterile rooms not out in the open with other parcels....
I'm more concerned about the health of those custom officers. They should wear masks to protect themselves...
This woman is professional smuggler of drugs and using her children as a distraction. Costomes should also a let police to surveillance ger family and her home as that's where all drugs are processed and sold
Agree! not only that she was given no prison. An ICO is what she was given and this means she served her jail time in fhe community... its a disgusting farce of a system.
The box filled with rotted plant and animal parts was nasty. It reminded me of things a witch doctor would use. Gross.
@@Katarina-ds5mj ABSOLUTELY VOODOO!!!!
Very true

Her open mouth and a child next to her is NO protection.
Shame on her.
Prison for her.

What good, wouldprison do? Just deport her.
@@momninalbum2266 they can say no.....especially with her children travelling with her..........
@@tommackay7433 She is Australian citizen. How about deporting you?
@@momninalbum2266 No excuse! JAILTIME!
If they would cut out all the repetition, this would only be half as long.
But my short attention span
😂😂😂
What on earth? Dried, rotten, slimy weeds, seeds, and reptiles? Those border officers should be wearing full Hazmat suits. I don’t even like dirty socks and underwear in my suitcase.
Nightmare Scenario one: brings drugs across unfamiliar border with 4 innocent children. Nightmare scenario two: Woman thinks she can fool the border patrol by bringing four children along with the drugs. Nightmare scenario the worst: having a mother who deals drugs. Enough said.
Best scenario? Ban for life
Real Talk! She had no idea,👁️👈 yeah right.! SMH! 🫢😡
Well said. Those poor kids.
Men usually get 5 to 7 years imprisonment for that amount of drugs. She only got 2 years. Women normally get a shorter sentence than men. That shouldn't happen. It is the same drugs that will destroy the same people so why the double standard?
@@daviddeck6109
Exactly right, there should not be a double standard.
Pantene shampoo? are you kidding me...brought that all the way from the old country and bringing to Australia like Australia don't sell them ? some people think that custom officers are all born yesterday. And I am shocked that the woman only get 2 yrs of prison time for 1.6 kg of the drugs she's smuggling into the country,,,,too lenient should be 5 yrs at least.
on the other hand, if this was done in Singapore, it is death penalty
not sure what's your issue with people bringing pantene shampoo? if i have enough luggage space and allowance, i would bring my own personal hygiene care as well. also, sometimes a product is cheaper from another country thst i would buy alot of them back just to save a few bucks.
It’s cheaper over there.. common sense
actually shampoo sold overseas got much better fragrance
@@matreen427 You have been there?
When shampoo bottles are sealed in a plastic wrapping and they're normally not sold like that in a store that is a big sign that someone stashed something inside that they don't want to be caught with by police.
SOMETIMES, the caps of “personal care items” (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc.) will “flip open” due to the pressure in an airplane’s cargo hold. THIS IS WHY, “IF” I’m bringing a “large bottle” on vacation, I’ll “tape the lids down” (with clear masking tape) AND “put them in a zip-lock style baggie”!! However, “those products” ARE NEVER SENT TO RETAIL STORES “SHRINK-WRAPPED”!! Also, (to the “best of my knowledge” from “Wikipedia” 😂) they are ONLY “produced and packaged” in “Switzerland” and in the “U.S.”!! (PERSONALLY…I’ve “NEVER SEEN” a “Made in America” sticker on ANY “Proctor & Gamble” product!!) Her “attempt”, IMHO, was NOT a “well thought out” NOR “well ‘researched’ plan”!! BUSTED!!
@@catherineg9943I've seen large bottles like that being sold shrink-wrapped all over Asia. Might not have been originally produced like that, but they sure are sold like that.
Or the cap leaks/has a chance of leaking and someone is taking precautions by taping the lid so nothing spills
That seal nothing what’s you mean?Almost everyone does that…
Some people do that as a precaution for spills also.
I wouldn’t be putting my gloved hands even up to my nose😂
Right. That was my first thought. She just touched a powdery drug and is now touching her nose with the glove. That could lead to a fun shift for her.
The woman who brings shampoo in her suitcase, she looks guilty.
You are guilty as well.
lol they always send the woman with kids so they can play dumb or “me no speaky.” She knew what she was transferring that’s why she started drinking that water cup she got nervous
2 years for trafficking a kilo and a half of a dangerous narcotic I thought the American justice system was soft on crime.
And, why wouldn't overstaying your visa by two years not be an automatic refusal? All the time on what could be a slam-dunk.
You should see Canada's. Is deplorable 😢
@@lila-gracenunyasun1334 But you have the magnificent Trudeau shepherding your country, so it's all good. Right?
Well our pseudo socialist government can't jail the voters they are importing.
This was happened at Sydney airport, not US.
2 years jail? That's all? No wonder there is so many drug smugglers...
No jail. She got a ICO.
No jail... ICO means she served it in the community. its a disgrace.
This show has also been airing for a good decade now
The laws in 2010 are much more lax than they are now. Half the fines they give people in this show are now thousands of dollars instead of hundreds
In the U.S she'd miss her kids College graduation ceremony.
@@kelseybrexit5224 I hope so! I’m always shocked at how low they are.
My heart breaks when a mother would do this to her kids....... (even if she thinks it's FOR her kids)
It was ok for him to stay for 2 years over. Most people get denied for staying a few months.
"He overstayed... two years!!!!
What someone just forgets they were to go home. Like oops, tee hee. Should be a mandatory entrance refusal.
Huge red flag to say you are bringing something in for someone else. Especially when it is available. I mean I would guess you can buy Pantene shampoo in Australia. I would also guess her imprisonment was less due to cooperating about who, what, when and where.
Does overstaying a tourist visa for two years not carry any penalties in Australia? I’m very surprised the American man was let back in tbh
that's just one of the many privileges of Americans😅
Yes there's a 3 year suspension. He could not come back until that time was up.
Two years?!? She should have gotten 25 years.
No jail, an ICO
Didnt go to jail. served in the community.

It's always for a friend or my mom 😂🥴
And Auntie packed my bags.

The woman with kids definitely knows the drugs she carried
That laugh on his face toward the end of the video says everything: You guys are fools, I am here to work.
as if he can't get a job in the US...the immigration treated him like he was from the third world
Buying Pantene from Vietnam for a friend? LOL!
2 years overstayed visa and welcome.
System works for everyone differently
You would think that a guy who had overstayed his visa by two years would be on some kind of "do not give a visa to this guy" list instead of leaving it up to the people at the airport to discover.
It is a shame for her to carry drugs with kids present.
Imagine breaking the law and then coming right back
And the most unbelievable thing.. they let him in

Better check also the so called prescribe medicines in capsules. The powder in the capsules can be replaced with other drugs.
Not everyone carries cash. It’s NOT suspicious to use credit and debit for your purchases on a trip ESPECIALLY if you’ve pre paid your accommodations
Exactly what I was thinking! I never, ever, carry cash. Haven't carried cash for probably 10-15 years now... Except when I visit more developing countries, like the USA.
Where have you been travelling that you never have cash? Most countries immigration will expect you to have some cash with you.
@@AuntyJack123 All over Europe, China, Australia, Thailand, Japan, USA, Taiwan, Philippines, Malaysia, Costa Rica, French Guyana, South Africa, amongst others... None have required cash on entry.
@@xtrnisse none may have asked you however immigration has the capacity to ask you to show cash and may be suspicious that you have none. Especially in SEA. Moot point really perhaps. I prefer cash so it doesn't affect me.
@@AuntyJack123 Oh, I've been asked plenty of times, especially in China. Not if I have cash to support myself though, but if I have "sufficient means to support myself for the duration of my visit", where an answer that I've got one debit card and three credit cards totalling in excess of 50k USD has been satisfactory. They have on the other hand wanted to know that I'm NOT carrying a lot of cash (I think the limit in China is 20k RMB/about 2k USD) that I haven't declared. You do you if it works, I'm just saying there's no need. And if you come to Sweden, just be prepared that you'll find a lot of shops/stores/restaurants to be cash free. Happy interneting! ☺️
Only 2 years for importing of drugs? So many would have ruined more than 2 years of their lives..oh my goodness
The lady with the kids play dumb she knows what's in there. I wonder how many times she got through and didn't get caught.
Those poor children. No chance.
No money and already overstayed 2 years on a visa? Kick him out.
18:07 The supervisor calling and checking whether the man from the US was genuinely employed or not must have checked that the number was from the website, not what he gave him as his work details.
Also, the business must have been checked whether it is a genuine business using its ABN or ACN from the business look-up tools.
Otherwise, it could be his friend or relative answering the phone for him, or not a genuine business but an easy 1 page website to fool people with.
He had stayed in Australia with no sense of guilt for breaking the law as evidenced by his attitude, so customs must question all the other related info and details from him.
It is possible he found a job that could pay him $1500 and decided to stay in Australia unlawfully again for a few years.
Problem with unlawful stays in Australia is that they get all the conveniences of living in Australia as much as they can without paying due taxes to support the provisons of public conveniences and safety.
Tax should be the core reason why unlawful stays in Australia must be prevented.
These countries are absolutely so soft on crimes….weak leadership
When the narrator said, “he’s overstayed his last visa by two…” I thought the next word was going to be “months”. 🤦♀️
The American guy overstayed the last time, and he thinks he can just go back that easy? Ayayayay! 😂

After seeing this show I never went to my interview at the airport. I wouldn't be able to stand 1 hour with humans like this.
A 5 minute program padded out with repeats to make it up to an hour.
It was 22 min 18 secs long.

We really don't have open borders.
Only 2 years. Send her to jail for a long long time..............
There's another possibility here. Maybe the woman is carrying these bottles for a friend living abroad. If it is the case, while it's a kind gesture to help out, be sure you understand local customs and regulations before carrying anything for someone else.
The woman testing puts on protective glasses but nothing to cover her nose or mouth. That makes a lot of sense
Why isn't the woman and her family deported after prison? Are they Australian citizen or only on PR or visa?
The mom’s acting was horrendous
despite of so much bio security mostly diseases of human and plants or even plants originated from these countries
Lovely parents out there…unbelievable

What happens to the person receiving these illegal items via mail?
These programs could be better if you stopped repeating the clips over and over again
I have Prime so I don't get commercials. If all these pauses are for commercials, I wouldn't be watching. All the repeating is bad enough. It's a good show, but could be better.
You can’t fool security now! They have the most sophisticated x-ray and screening machine.
when we moved from the USA to Australia, we ended up w a bag of grass seed in our shipment. definitely illegal, our packers fault (worked for our federal govt), not ours. we just sealed it up and took it back with us when we moved back to the states. so somebody missed something, nobody's perfect

What are "intensive correction orders"? (The Vietnamese drug smuggler has to serve her 2 year sentence by this)
Why aren't the bottles very small sizes? We would have ours taken away at TSA. 8 oz or less!
I think these episodes were produced before 2006, when the liquid restrictions took effect. You can still put larger bottles in checked bags, even today

I also get paid every week but I don’t check my money out in cash. See this is where I don’t understand and this is where I feel like they get a little picky and choosy 100% understand that he overstayed his visa by two years. I got that, but, what is the problem with him coming and having all of his money on his credit card if he comes into Australia, $10,000 they think you’re doing something illegal but if you come over there with substantial money on your credit card, they also think you’re weird. I love this show but little stuff like that is annoying.
I find it odd. Maybe even a little dumb, but not really suspicious. I never have cash at home, but when traveling I always bring a few hundred with me - just in case. To each their own though.
I wonder how all the items confiscated, both food items and plants etc. are disposed off. If all biosecurity items are not incinerated, or are they just binned with akk other confiscated goods?
Idk about Australia but in the US they sell mostly everything after 90 days I believe. Americans are greedy as F.
