      It’s a bit complicated to fine them up to 10k as it increases the chances of not being able to pay which would mean detention, resulting in more resources. Most effective is to fine a small amount and blacklist. Often black listing makes it difficult for the person to obtain another visa.

    Notice of intention to consider canceling your visa is fake hope and in 100% of cases the person ends up getting sent back. I have no clue why they do that when they clearly seem to have already made the decision to cancel someone's visa.
    I also cringe everytime I hear "a notice of intent to CONSIDER..." Seriously, just say we are considering canceling your visa instead. What exactly is a notice of intent to consider?!! You clearly have the intention to cancel the visa after you've found evidence that the person isn't telling the truth or trying to bypass the visa laws and regulations.
    I've seen people beg, cry, even try the 100% honesty rout and literally nothing ever works in making them CONSIDER THEIR INTENTION TO CONSIDER CANCELING THE VISA! A ridiculous and useless statement that seems to have been written by a lawyer.

    My apologies, I am not trying to insult the country and any nationalities, however;
    - Malaysian man is easily has something to hide, I can see from his english competency, mostly Chinese - Malaysian has good English, especially if they are travelers/backpackers, at least have idea where and what they doing in the country, so he definitely hiding something about his agenda visiting Australia, we can see from his text messages, his english actually better than the way he speaks to the officer😅
    - Chilian lady who speaks spanish in front of the officer is really rude, sadly I used to have coworker, and she got fired because the same thing, talking bad in her language towards the officer, the officer is way too nice to her, she should immediately refuse to enter the country with her attitudes.
    - Travelers from East, South and South East Asia normally high alert to bring the organic foods, just because they getting use to bring anything that they normally use/eat without find out or care whether that allows or not.

    It is always Malaysians attempting to do these kind of things. Modus Operandi is Enter Australia on a tourist visa, gets stopped by Immigration, Border Force finds out that they are planning to work illegally on a tourist visa, visa gets cancelled and they are sent back to Malaysia. It goes to show that Malaysia have a lot of problems.

      In a circumstance like this, the Aussie government would have to pay. If the airline he travelled on had boarded him without a valid passport or visa then it would be their responsibility. But he did have a visa, so they're not responsible. This kind of arrangement could vary depending on the country. Like some countries may have treaties between them where the country of origin pays for the fare.

      Depends on country to country. Most Asian countries will have their government incur the cost and will demand the person to pay back or else jail time. I believe Australia does pay for the deportation of UK, and USA citizens.

No back n forth games or useless questions. If you’re legit you’re in if you’re not you’re out. Simple as that.

      (1) Australian border security wants to make sure the person is coming to the country for the right reasons. They want make sure the visitor has the money to visit and go home without any problems. (2) Australia is also a huge country that is easy to get lost in so border security wants to make sure the person knows where they’re going. (3) If questions showing one’s interest in the country they’re visiting is too much, they shouldn’t visit Australia.

      They are doing a thing called, "Their job." They are sworn officers that do the job of protecting their country from idiots, people that want to cause their country harm, people that may become dependent upon the country to care for them.... on and on. I'm guessing you are the type that wants to know why, you need to go through a security check to fly.... It isn't everyone they need to worry over. However if you cause yourself to stand out, they will look harder.
