I use White or Pearl weighted soft paddletail with a rattle worked close and slowish as I dare to the bottom. I think a constant retrieve works best so the fish can home in on the vibrations. It seems to work in both clear or cloudy water. But if I see fish hitting baitfish on or near the surface in clear water, I fish tip up with a faster retrieve and small sink and draw. For hard lures the Zonk, Xrap and J13 do well for me in coloured water as give off lots of vibration.

Thanks for taking us with You. I do not fish very often for bass, but if there is swell and waves white can be a very good colour for hard or metal baits.
But I always prefer the natural colours for Soft plastics
    Tight lines

Great video & tips. I matched a Nasci 3000 to my DAM Effzett 7-35 after watching CAL last year. Love it.
I'm a newbie cast straight outer I'm afraid and need to "pepper". How do you manage to not snag casting over those boulders on the right?! 🤔

Another nice video what a cracking fish.
Are you wearing Vass waders, that have studs on? If so, I was just wondering how these cope with the slippery rocks?

I had a pair with studs and after about 8 months some of the studs went into the boots and started leaking water. So got a pair without. Thanks boss to

I do have a pair without studs on, but I’m concerned that it will be extremely slippery on the rocks, but looking at your videos, you don’t seem to have too much of a problem

In colored water I dont have a colour preference as I think the way you work the lure is far more important. Immitate a wounded baitfish by twitching and stopping lures in my opinion is more vital to force bass to strike. All about technique of working lure , more then colour.

Thanks bud. I will take this into consideration.. so you feel a more erratic approach when bringin it in? Or just the case of fishing a lure with a rattle normally. So many what ifs

I keep twitching using elbow on retrieve and then pause lure for couple seconds so lure falls and looks injured. Repeat . The fact bass love a easy meal and don't like to be chasing lures and wasting energy. In my opinion why this works for me. By the way I'm no bass expert. Just what I know 😂😂

The water is very clear, just to say. But for really murky water always browns or black since the fish can see silhoutte much better. Its the same for during the night, only dark colours unless its full moon but the you shouldnt go anyways.

I liked the video. There is no lie about catching fish with every cast. I wish he had shown the fakes left in the sea...

Coloured water?? It looks gin clear to me. However, I usually go for white, even though when experiment, here in the dark chocolate waters of the Bristol Channel, black is always the easiest for me to see, but then I'm not a fish. On weedless soft plastics I often add a spinner blade up front, or something to cause a bit of a commotion in the water as visibility is usually so limited. Raymondo.

Waters gin clear now. Totally glossy at the moment round the island. It was defiantly “cloudy” in that area. We don’t get the brown stuff like you guys do. So theirs different types of cloudy depending on your area. But thanks for the comment and the ideas 👍👍♥️ much appreciated

you lure fish in the bristol channel? I'm about to move to cardiff and thought I'd have to go further west to be able to do so! so knowing it can be done is very encouraging, much prefer lures to surfcasting...
