    Thanks for the update! Being mostly pain free is my goal. Standing on a knife is an understatement 😂❤

    I had my left knee done 4 days after yours . Tomorrow is my 6 weeks. I share a lot of what you describe. My ROM max is 105. I’m walking and climbing stairs pretty well but my leg gets tired easily
    Glad you are doing well and enjoying your updates!

      Last monday I was on my knee/leg 2 or 3 hours. It took the rest of the week to get over it. Yesterday I was on it for 3 or 4 hours and its only a little sore this morning. Still dont doing good with steps and thats what I am pushing myself with right now. Sleep is kinda off and on. It doesnt hurt, but it gets stiff and I wake and walk around and then cant go back to sleep at times. We're getting there!

    Glad you're doing good. Had mine done on the 19th, and PT starting to push for more flexion...we pushed it to 100, but with a pain level of 8..lol
    Flying downstairs, but UP is still a challenge. Can't wait to swing a golf club....thanks

    Sounds like you are doing really good. You and i had surgery right around the same time, mine was Dec 20th and I dont have that full flexion like you do. Its getting there, but its slow going and I am exercising it alot. Are you still going to PT or are you done with that? Also, do you use a cane when walking? I do, and that really helps with balance and also with helping me to use steps - up and down. My issue seems to be more the stiffness and pain when doing exercises. Glad to see you are doing so well. I will post an update tomorrow after my 6 week check up with Dr. Thanks for posting!

      It gets stiff, especially when I'm can't move it much, like driving or when I was setting in the barber's chair yesterday. Rom is good but I have to keep working it or it will tighten up. I over done it last week and I really got it to hurting. This week has been much more controled. Sounds like you are really doing well with steps. Your doing great! Keep on keeping on, we'll get there!

    I’m 6 weeks out now and at PT, they’re always on to me about picking my foot up also. I have a little sharp pain when I try to walk properly on it, not bad, and not always, but I’m conscious of it.

      @@lindaelston4728 Im 9 months out now. I need to do a 9 month upday. My knee is doing great. Sounds like your on the right track yourself. 6 weeks is a point where your feeling half way normal, but your not well yet. It takes a while to rebuild the muscle strength. Its also easy to form a few bad habits. I still find myself going down with the bad and up with the good on steps, even though I'm ok going up and down steps. I'll try to do an update next week.

    Had TKR 5 weeks ago (UK). 0 degrees straight, 130 degree bend. Cut the lawn today. Other arthritic knee due to be done in Feb. Very strict with myself with physio and exercises. Bloody painful though, more than I was told. Done free under NHS, how much would this cost in USA?

    • @bamatractor
      @bamatractor  23 дні тому

      @@jeromek2125 The surgery and doctor was less than $500 usd. The out of pocket cost in the states greatly depends who you work for. Im 9 months out now and my knee is a none issue now. It turned out good. My other knee could use replaced, but Im not wanting to do it yet.

      @@bamatractor crickey, that’s sounds cheap. The deal over this side of the water is you can have the op for free under the NHS. The snag is there is a nine month waiting list, which is what I did. To have it done privately, straight away, would cost £15,000 (About $20,000).
      Anyway, good to hear you’re on the mend mate 👍
