It’s like a non guitar player tried to draw a Tele from memory.
The 80s was all about being ridiculous and off the wall and I feel like they captured that vibe pretty well throwing hot dogs all over a guitar. I hope they continue trying new stuff.

If you roll off the tone on a single coil bridge pickup you can find a kick ass high gain tone… miles was smart enough to build that sweet spot into a push pull - genius.

NF bridge is the same they use in the Vela -- it's VERY good.
I've been wanting a tele for a super long time, but now I think I might take a look at the Myles Kennedy model in black because it's STUNNING
I think you're totally on point with the Heritage headstock. Great guitars, but the headstock is 100% a deal breaker for me. Sure, some might find it silly that I would rule a guitar out on a visual aspect alone, but I'm certain I'm not the only one who feels that way.

It has to call to you to pick it up!
If it doesn’t check every box visually; I’m not even interested in the specs themselves..
That said, I’m very picky about the specs themselves as well.

I agree. There are so many great options to choose from, one can find a guitar that looks, feels AND plays grrat. There’s no reason to compromise on looks.

Really mostly all of PRS guitars are a "modern reimagining" of known models from Fender and Gibson. Someone has to do it, because they refuse to.

That hot dogger is a fantastic guitar with a dumb paint job. I love my Illusionist!
As someone who loves the jazzmaster style of guitar with it's quirks. I'd love to see a prs take on that guitar even though I know it would not be true to the jazzmaster at all. It would basically be the normal spongebob guitar.
We need to see you review Miles Kennedy's sig JUST so we can finally finish the Alter Bridge trifecta by getting a Miles Kennedy solo, so those two can fight over whose solo was better
I love the Myles Kennedy guitar. Hope to try one. Love the white the most. Also that was the best Segway for the ridge wallet yet. I'd love to see you get the MK but also a Vela from PRS. Also yes 100% do the high end single cut shootout.
PLEASE GET A MILES KENNEDY PRS. I would love to hear you play it so I can see for myself how good it is for metal. I'm having a huge mental dilemma. Do I want a modern style metal guitar or a vintage style metal guitar

Isn't that NF53 bridge the same as the Vela. If so then I can confirm that it is an excellent bridge and intonates much better than standard/traditional tele bridges
I have a Vela and it looks like the same bridge. The Vela gets a great beefy Tele tone

Would be sweet to see the left guitar at 13:18 made in production! An Epi Faulkner Custom V with p90s and a gold Floyd would be epic, p90s and Floyd are an uncommon combo for sure
The Heritage headstock has really grown on me. I would really like to get one someday.
I love Teles and the one guitar I own is a PRS SE Standard 24 and it's amazing, so this PRS version of a Tele is basically my dream guitar

A lot of people talking about the innovative bridge.....but it's been on the Vela for awhile. Nothing new there. That said, I always thought of the Vela as the PRS T-equivalent, albeit in double cut form.
Interesting - keen to try when they arrive here BUT would prefer a single brass bridge per string (Sire Larry Carlton do this - better for fine tuning) and a Rosewood fretboard would be nice.
It makes me sad that the two years I lived in Fort Wayne there was no Gear Fest because of you know....the thing

The EVH special trem uses a high quality gotoh plate and 1k saddles. The MIJ should be the same or better. I see no reason to go for an OFR if that is the case. It also has a push in bar, so that is a nice upgrade and lends to the gotoh base idea.

Speaking of the EVH models…does any guitar come with an original Floyd Rose trem anymore? Most cheaper guitars seem to get the special, and higher end models get the 1000 series. My Charvel has a 1000 series and it works great, no issues.

I love PRS, but there’s few things on this new NF53 that puzzles me. For instance, I don’t know why the NF53 has a different body from the MK Signature, and why it doesn’t have locking tuners like the MK Signature. Also, the price is quite high and should be similar to a Silver Sky. I have core PRS, but I’m not sure I’m ready to spend 3 grand for a tele style guitar, knowing that I’m not a tele guy, I’m a Strat guy. Maybe I just need to wait for a SE NF53…

Hunter.....it's time to review FGN guitars my guy. Especially a FGN Les Paul. Curious to hear your thoughts. Proud owner here and I think it gives Gibson a run for the money

A bad headstock is a serious detriment.
That’s why I opted to sand down that hard angle out of my Chapman.
It’s actually pretty killer now with the T style. The roundness is far more consistent with the body.
I went from disliking it to absolutely loving it. Favorite guitar, by far. ML3 Bea Pro.
I don’t know own many guitars though so… grain of salt

I just glad the NF53 and Miles are a unique shape.
(as opposed to the Silver Sky, which literally is just a stock Fender Stratocaster with the neck replaced)
Also, I really wish the NF53 had a painted headstock. I REALLY don't want to buy that AND a Miles, swap the necks, and then sell the Miles. That is a waste of time and money. Either way, a painted headstock is a non-negotiable requirement for me.

I like the floyd rose 1000 series but I hate how evh won't route their guitar out to pull up. I feel if you are going to have a floyd it should be usable.

18:38 Lovely guitar but it is marred by the kill switch... EVH didn't really use a kill switch and the red is a weird, inflamed mosquito bite on an otherwise tasteful design. It would make sense on a Jackson Randy Rhoads but why is it so prominent on these guitars?
From all the videos I've heard, the NF53 sounds really nice and I don't doubt that it feels amazing, too! I personally would need a lot of getting used to the look of it, if I'm being honest...

The headstock is find it’s more the truss rod cover to me? It doesn’t fit at all.
Not a fan of teles. Never have been. Perhaps you should try a Solar “tele” the T model.

Oh man, I love the fucking Myles Kennedy model. So amazing! Been waiting on that one for years! Looks and sounds great! Prices in Europe are in fact disgusting (it’s also a gig bag, bot a case), but still that doesn’t kill the party! Love it.

I just can not deal with the birds on the fretboard that is so tacky. Bet Trogly bought some of those Faulkner V's so he could rip people off later on.

I have thought exactly the same thing. The didn't cut away enough wood on the waist and it give it an ugly fat look.

I think at this point if someone has a Telecaster, there's really no reason to buy a PRS telecaster. I love PRS & I love Alter Bridge but I have a thinline MIM Telecaster & I'm guessing a Fender is more affordable? I have a knock of Les Paul that was my first guitar in 2001, Mark Tremonti has a signature PRS shaped like a Les Paul. So why do I want a Tremonti Custom? Because of the electronics, scale length, and different options on the stain.
Most people that want a Les Paul are probably looking for the classic Gibson LP sound/experience?

Fender does have a modern bridge as a option so it does not mean you are stuck with the ashtray bridge with brass barrels. That really comes down to whether you want to go the old school route.
I don’t care about PRS stuff but still would watch if you had a demo of one. I don’t care about the new Gibson either because I don’t like the idea of buying a guitar covered in one big ass pick guard. I’m definitely a Gibson guy but rather have a meat and potatoes kinda guitar. Give me something that doesn’t have a ton of bling junk. I just wanna get the job done.

I want to start by saying I like PRS guitars. I think they're a little cookie cutter, but that's not a bad thing when your quality is so high. That said, these guitars will not be the "Tele killer." I don't even think they will be a Tele replacement. I've played a lot of Tele copies. But nothing beats the original. I'd definitely rock these PRS guitars...but they ain't replacing Teles.

I think the new PRS models are some of the ugliest guitars I've seen in awhile. Just being honest. But I do respect that they did their own thing rather than just making a copy of another brand that is already classic, like they and so many other brands have already done. You're never going to make a classic guitar if you're making a an already classic guitar.
Its cool, but not 2700+ dollars cool. Expecially for a bolt on.... Sub par specs no special woods on the neck, no coil split options on the nf, and I personally think the color options are bland. Maybe 2 grand.
