Fantastic would u make tutorial without music Becose ur words are very important to listen carefully, so please me with back music thanks Joo London 🇬🇧
I find it strange that increasing the shutter speed would make the image sharper? Increasing the shutter speed, needs to be compensated by a larger iris opening. A larger iris opening creates a more narrow depth of field. So it would be harder to get things in focus(sharper). I would say that the increase of shutter speed is NOT to get a sharper image but to get the bokey (blurry background) effect. The larger the iris opening (= the lower the F number) the more bokey effect (narrow depth of field) you can create.
Great video, I had no idea about adjusting until seeing this. It is a pity that these cameras do not come with much info about how to use the features, the instructions aren't very informative. I am trying to locate more info for filming video using my HC-V785 do you have one for this or know of any decent ones? Thanks again for this one :)
It's awhile since you did this very helpful vid. I have just got a second hand one off UK eBay with a 1yr Panasonic full warrantee for £68. It's my very 1st camcorder, I got it because of the brill zoom. Any advice on the best picture adjust settings :-)
Hi Yes. There are some videos on my channel regarding video quality. Feel free to browse my channel videos. Basically set it to MP4, 1080p50 or 1080p60 Whichever your camera has. You are good to go. Thanks for watching. Mostly shooting outdoors no problems. :)
I bought a handycam with one specific reason - to film the Moon and the Sun (with Baader filter). And it works fine with it's 1700mm eq. lens. It also has some use for filming animals, but with some serious limits - only in good light. Otherwise the footage is very crapy. More advanced handycams has less range - up to 600mm and only 1/2,5" sensor. Some has 1" sensor, but they are so expensive and not so small. A 4/3 is in my opinion much better and not much bigger than 1" sensor handycam.
How to do fix jagged edges around the subject as they move. I never had this problem with Cannon or Sony until I bought this Panasonic V380. I figured I must have touched something by accident, but I don't know how to fix it. Can you help? Thank you.
Please, I want a request from you To record a video with the camera(panasonic hc260) and then press pause and then record again⏯️, is this recording saved in one clip🎞️? Same time cameras that run cassette?📹📼 Please reply and detail on this topic
Hi you cannot pause on this camcorder. Once U press it, it stop recording, when you start again. It creates a new file. Is not the cassette style when you can continue where U left. Hope this helps.
Hey bro - thanks so much for this video, big help. Quick question, I've been practising different setting while recording the moon. 1/500 and f3.6 seems pretty good. Just wondering would you have any other shutter speeds and F stops in mind that might be better to make th moon clearer? 1/250 f3.6 or is 1/500 pretty good? Thanks heaps - just looking for optimal settings really.
Hey Welcome. Try to Increase Shutter Speed to 1/750 and F2.0 or OPEN. Increase shutter speed and make the aperture bigger. But the sharpness is minimal only.
Thank you for the video. Your videos are very helpful for me. I am using my HC V 270 camcorder for our short film project which is to be shot indoor. I am using additional lights and shooting in manual mode with iris set at open and shutter speed at 1/100 .(as per 180 degree rule). But the picture has lot of grains ( when viewed on tv screen with hdmi cable) Please help me to solve this problem. Can u please suggest the max iris opening and min shutter speed values while shooting indoors. Also please suggest a better value for sharpness ,colour and exposure ( picture adjust function) for indoor videos which will not produce noise.
U can watch my this video. I stated in the video ua-cam.com/video/N0wQ64wuWYg/v-deo.html&ab_channel=EphraimKunorishi 1/100 is too high. Pls use lower like 1/50. You cannot follow 180 degree rule as this camcorder has small sensor.
Thanks. Do you know any way to make the mp4 format look like film? I'm not talking about black bars and aspect ration. I'm talking about the film material itself. It absorbs light quite differently then digital and there's probably a way to mimic it. But how?...
Welcome. The default frame rate for 1080p is 50fps/60fps based on region. You can try 1080p50i in AVCHD and after you record, you can deinterlace it in editing software. To be like 25fps. Close to 24fps film look. If you want MP4 only, switch to 720p, it will record in 25p/30p. That's the work around
Mp4 is just a file container type. As the video author mentioned, you can get a video editor to edit your video to look like cinema. I think magix has an editor for 80 bucks that is simple to use and you can adjust color temp, dimension, and frames per second.
Making video look like cinema is way way more complex then just a setting or a filter. It has to do with composition, camera position, movement choices, lens choice, lighting the scene and much more. You just need to learn a lot more about all these subjects before your video will start to look like a movie shot :) It is the same thing I had a few years ago when a guy saw some pictures I took and said: wow great pictures, where can I buy such a camera :)
Hi, I have Panasonic V380 but i cant make a bokeh. In daylight i set the same or similar camera settings as you. When i press the + or - focus buttons, all the image blurs or all the image is clear.
when there is a lot of daylight, increasing the shutterspeed to max still does not open the iris enough to get a "narrow depth of field". Also for blurry background the distance between the object you want sharp and the background has to be large. Also the further you have zoomed out, the less the blurry effect will work. There are just a lot of things involved in getting a blurry background.
Thank you for the informative vlog. Question: Once you have set the camera, can you save the setting in the camera so that it can be quickly accessed and trimmed as needed? I have this same camera and it works great!
Thanks! Welcome! That's great. If you are using MNL mode then it will usually stay the same but if you want to have custom profile for each shooting situation then there isn't such settings on this camcorder.
Thanks for the reply. I was hoping to save a custom profile... would be nice. These are great cameras, very happy with mine (wxf-991 4k). Small package with powerful features. Nicely produced informative video - five stars!
Hi, you can use an External recorder to record it because it can display video and audio as HDMI out. And all the icons will not be shown, you can disable it. But whether the how good and clean the HDMI is, I'm not that sure for that. I have not recorded it externally but the camcorder allows you to display live feed through HDMI.
Day time and it was a little windy, in comparison to my older to my older HC-130 & really of Canon HV40's it is incredibly slow to lock onto auto focus.
I find ANY HC-V* camera ( I own several hc-v720, 750, 770) is great at autofocus but extremely slow reacting to manual inputs in manual focus mode. Unworkable slow in manual focus unless your subject is completely standing still and your cam is on a tripod.
Sorry man, previously didn't notice about it. Anything you not sure, can turn on the English captions. Why am I saying is that the Iris must be around F2.8-F3.4 around there. Not to go too F8 will cause it to be blurry due to the limitations of the lens.

Welcome. Hope it helps.
I have bought new camcorder Panasonic V380
My Panasonic HC-W580 sometimes makes buzzing noises whilst I film and I don't know how to get rid of it? Do you know how and what could be causing it?
Is coming from the focusing motor and your auto mic sensitivity is too high because of too quiet environment
That could be the case so how do I fix it?

Go to your video settings and set it 50p/60p. You must have change it to 50i / 60i. Try and see and let me know
It did not have the 50p/60p but it does have 1080/60p. That's what I selected. Did a couple of tests. It appeared fixed. Thank you!

Thanks man, it's realy good example!
But can you tell how far is the closest object on this video?
Does the assisted focus work at high zoom or only for wide angle close subjects?
Both, it works at wide and also at high zoom.
can you tell me this music?
