I use Google Translate. I bought a wireless microphone and would like to know how to turn off the voice recording from the camera microphone, because whoever is next to the camera is talking and I do not want to hear it but only from the wireless microphone. thank you
Hi there, if your wireless microphone has a transmitter that can be inserted into the microphone input jack on the camera it should switch from using the internal V770's microphone to the wireless microphone. If it fails to do this, there might be a setting in the camera that keeps both microphones, the wireless microphone you want to use and the camera's internal microphone, active and recording. Unfortunately since we've never experienced this issue we cannot give you a solution. We would suggest going through the audio input settings on the camera and see if you can make any adjustments there after you've confirmed that you cannot get the wireless microphone to record separately. Best of luck!
Appreciate the video. I know it's 5 years old, so this is a reach, but I was wondering if you could tell me how to check the storage level on the SD card ? I've read through the owners manual and I don't see any mention of it. Thanks in advance.
Hello! Under Menu, then Settings, the option for “Media Status” is one more arrow down after the “Format Media” option as shown at 2:12 . Hope this helps!
hello, I have a question, please, I would be very grateful if you have an answer, the problem is that the video camera cuts the videos of an hour into movies of 23 minutes more or less and I have searched Google and I cannot find a specific answer, I could you help?...thanks
I would not recommend Panasonic batteries. The are very expensive and have only a little bit of power. With a reasonable power bank (5volt usb) you can film whole day. See my photo: www.janvalk.com/camera2.jpg
Hi! Do you have any tip, why in manual mode the IRIS keeps adjusting to the level it thinks is more suitable? Everything is on manual, I was switching off every help (I think), still I can not fix a value I was setting.
Anyone still here? Do you have to FINALIZE an SD card to save the images when the SD card is full ? Can I switch sd cards in and out without a second format to record and store kids sports from family gatherings on and off? This would be to keep all sports of one kid separate from another type event I would want on a different SD card to save and replay multiple times. Any help appreciated..
Hi, I need some help.I have my cables going from output of tascam -70D then into my video camera mic port. I'm Trying to get good audio onto the video recording. When I use my Panasonic handheld video camera HC-V770 with this Tascam DR-70D , if both are plugged into utility power instead of battery power, I get loud interference in my video recording on the memory card that is in the video camera. But if I unplug either unit and let one run off of battery, the sound in the video is crystal clear. Is this normal? is there something I can do to stop this in case my batteries are dead or I am making a long recording? On the audio only recording that is on the memory card in the Tascam DR-70D, the audio is fine, no issues or changes.... Thank you for your feedback.
Hi Cage Nation, While we've never used a Tascam DR-70D, what you're experiencing sounds strange. Unfortunately it sounds like one of those things that requires trial and error to solve. You could poke through the settings on the Tascam and/or the Panasonic to see how the audio is being exported/imported. You could try switching the decibels at which the Tascam exports the volume or see if it's exporting audio as line or mic. You could also contact Panasonic and Tascam respectively and see if they have any clearer tips, but that may be difficult as they are two different companies and might not know the intricacies of how their products interact with one another. In the meantime, you could record the double record the audio; one way by using the Tascam, and another way using the built-in mic on the Panasonic. Then you can manually sync the audio from the Tascam with the video from the Panasonic by lining up the Tascam audio with the Panasonic audio. You have to listen and watch to make sure it lines up perfectly; it's kind of a pain, but it's something we do for other productions when it's not possible to get good audio running into our cameras. There's also some programs that can automatically sync audio and video if they're from the same recording session regardless of which device they were recorded on. We believe you can do this on Final Cut Pro. We don't know about Adobe Premiere, but they may have it too. We hope this has been helpful in some form or another, and we wish you best luck with getting your audio to match up with your video without any interference.
This is called an earth loop sometimes. I have the exact same issue connecting my Tascam dr60 D mark II audio out to my HC-V770 unless I give each a separate power bank. But you already found out this solution. Faulty wiring inside either the Tascam or the Panasonic makes this happening. There is no software or setting cure for it. Please note the recording quality of the sound is terrible on most consumer camera's and for sure on the panasonic HC-V750 and 770. (I don't know the other types). Still you need the sound for easy synchronization in post. If that is your reason to get the sound from Tascam to camera, then I understand. :)
@@AccountGoogle_ He is only talking about the SD memory card. The battery only does 2:20, but that is continuous filming. It's approximately 1:30 of actual recording time if you are turning it on and off, zooming in, etc. The 128 GB SD memory card can save up to 12 hours of footage + 800 photos. (According to the manufacturer). Just got mine for a trip. So, I haven't actually been able to test it fully yet. Hope that helps
I just bought this camera used, put in a 512gb card (its what I had on hand), when I set to 1080 60fps it says 44hrours . lol, 720 shows 138 hours. Wondering now if I can use it as a trail cam (with waterproof enclosure).
Are you using a wall adapter or a battery to power the camera? Your battery could be completely dead or your adapter for the wall might be broken either in the camera or on the cable itself. Did you get the camera brand new or did you recently acquire it second hand? There may be damage to the device.
great basics tutorial, thanks for that
I am looking forward to buy this camera, because of the ability to connect an external microphone.

My camera won't zoom and take picture
Does it got time lapse
This is a more simplistic model and does not have the time lapse feature.
Yes it does: touch the icon with the A or A+, then select HDR, then the lowest icon with the tulips is timelaps
Input a 128gb sdxc csrd in mine gave me 10 plus hours of recoding 1080 60p
