Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is the second Kingdom Hearts ( tasvideos.org/... ) game released, detailing Sora's encounters in the mysterious Castle Oblivion.
In this run, Doc Skellington heavily abuses luck for nearly everything, beating the game in about the time it would normally take one to finish the first level.

I know it's RNG manipulation, but it's still hilarious to know that Sora jumping around like a maniac is the fastest way to beat the game.

Talk shit about Chain of Memories all you like, but PS2 opening and ending cutscenes on a Gameboy Advance is super impressive!
It's not real time 3D, it's just compressed video. Nothing really impressive, there was already that in the time of the SNES.
SitronVert it was impressive for the hardware and had a great scale. Like the kingdom hearts ds games.

YOU CAN SKIP CUTSCENES?!?!?! All those times I kept losing to Repliku and Larxene over and over and over, and all I had to do to get it over with was to 1.) Immediately go back to the save room between fights, and 2.) Hold down Start.
Well, I didn't know about it either. I learned it while searching info before starting to TAS. And the "fun" fact is that it is written in the instruction booklet (but who reads it? :p)

@@Doc_Skellington I used to read the instructions but I never had this game on GBA, played it on an Emulator to see how different it is from Re:Chain of Memories.
So in that case you don't even have a way of knowing unless you guess it.
i didnt know this either , i pressed literally every button on my ds but could never figure it out , never occurred to me that i had to actually _hold down_ buttons lol

He was preparing for the Trickmaster fight by bringing himself down to low HP and using the Hades card, which increases attack when your HP is low.

You can constantly keep anything from attacking in thus game, as long as you continue to play high value cards.

The sad part is that they removed the multiplayer battles from the GBA version. :(

I remember playing this game on the GBA back when it came out with the GBA Kingdom Hearts design. It was so hard for me and I tried to cheese every fight with just cloud cards until I wasn't able to beat the last Bosses and quit on the game haha. Good old days
Man, what thrilling boss fights this game sure had.

Just being accurate to KH1. Second best spell (gravity being the best), just jump cancel the end lag and you can fire off blizzards just as fast as fire but for more damage and a pretty big AoE

@@dyvyby Coded did originally release outside of the DS. It released on mobile phones in Japan, in chapters. They released from November 2008 to January 2010.
It came out directly after the original KH, and KH2 came out after this game

@marcogodinez4714 technically, Doc still makes the inputs for the game. He's simply going frame by frame by frame to get the most precise timing possible. It's pretty crazy stuff and almost like a digital version of claymation
The red/orange orbs on the exploration field ? If yes, they're Moogle Points. They can be used in Moogle Shops (no kidding :p) to buy new cards (you can choose between Attacks, Magic, Items or a little of everything... Of course, the distribution is random-based). If not, I must say I don't know what you're talking about
Maaan how in the heck do you get so many room cards in traverse town??? I ran out of them at destiny islands but they're not dropping ANY card in traverse town when I try to farm HELP!
It's weird how the GBA version of this game has Sora's KHI Voice clips, but in Re: Chain of Memories, it's what they used for KHII.

I think it's because they were planning to dub the remake but Haley Joel Osmont is too grown to do a young Sora again, so they gave Re:CoM Sora the Re:Coded treatment

When i was a kid i only play this one cause in Spain until 1.5 HD the remake was exclusive for Japan and USA, when i play the remake in my cracked ps2 after searching the iso for 5 years i was so hyped, i play the remake so much that i learn all Sora's history dialogues, and in some way i feel the remake more better than the original, but even now i play the original and the remake

In theory, yes. The magic of a TAS is it shows off what the most perfect run could look like if every little aspect lined up perfectly.

@@mhdfrb9971lol just noticed this reply. My point was that CoM GBA is of such a high quality that it has better graphics than a lot of DS games I’ve played, which you would think would have better graphics given that the DS is a more powerful console.

Damn...this is the most boring TAS ever. When I watch a TAS I'm always expecting insane stats, not a grind fest XD
