It is a cool cat, not a warm one, so the colour selection is perfect. I have not seen this box before at all, even I watch a lot of unboxing art, love it!
Hi Becky . I love your video,'s but your voile is so nice to listen to. It is so soothing and fulltime of enthousiasm. It always makes me gladto hear you talk. Thanks for sharing your video. I think you did a really good job!!❤❤
I really was inspired by the geometric shapes I'm going to try this as well. I was struggling with making squares because I was trying to blend them instead of just making them connect. Thank you for your inspiration. I love the cat
What a great video and awesome box, I loved the patchwork painting!! I really need to do one myself, that cat was fantastic also but there's just something my brain loves about the patchwork! Loved the colours too especially that grey colour! :D
Thank you for your input on the value! I felt like this box was worth the money too. German is such a great language; I just wish I could pronounce words better, haha!
Hi, Becky! I was 100% in agreement with your comments on abstract art during the patchwork painting! I definitely get the retro art vibe from the very cool cat, and I vaguely remember seeing something very similar way back in the day! (Well, I suppose AI had to nick it from somewhere! Or it may just be the memory of many paintings of that era of children and animals with huge eyes?) As for adding other supplies, I think that most subscription boxes have skipped that proviso for general, but not competition work. It seems to be taking a long time for some viewers to stop pouncing on any ArtTuber who does add into the box, even though most only add not-supplied essential things like black or white for mixes, pencil or pens. But if everyone stuck to that 'rule', no-one could use such items as masking tape or fluid, erasers, or even water! (ok, water's a bit extreme, but it's just being literal in interpretation) .😄 I've never thought that subscription boxes are genuinely value for money, and some are worse than others, in terms of actual cost of the items as well as the actual content selection. That's been getting worse. I've recently seen a couple of boxes that were simply a few sheets of paper and a few not-too-well-thought out (colour and nib-wise) markers. Meanwhile, I now have an irritating itch to do some patchwork quilts (ink, coloured pencil or paint, not material and thread!). irritating cos I don't have the time right now! I have some translation to do and to practice reading through (plus to take out the skirt and shirt from today's washing to iron) ready for tomorrow and it's now 9.45 pm!!! 😄
I don't think the AI picture was a particularly original concept - as you say, it's come from somewhere else for sure! I had to switch off the AI setting on Pixabay, otherwise it's automatically on for it to harvest everyone's photos. Oh what a world we find ourselves in! Anyway, I find that art subscription boxes are a good way to kick-start some inspiration, but I'll use other items if the artwork requires it. Rules are meant to be broken after all. 😆 I'm thinking of making up my own "art box" by picking random items in my studio and then using them, lol. Maybe I'll get Nick to choose some things...

Omg, I so agree with the over analyzing thing. I think “ how do you know what someone is thinking or why they did something unless they tell you?”. Most of those people are long gone so I know they aren’t telling anyone.
Thanks for still opening art boxes. Recently ive been wanting to try one but as its “not popular” to do art boxes anymore no one is posting videos of them makes me so sad. Keep doing these :)
Every so often they send them to me, so I'm always happy to open them when they arrive! I've never been popular in any part of my life, so I just do what makes me happy, lol. 😆
Hi there, yes the translation is right. It is a slightly more poetic way of saying: Would you like - ? Obviously the word „slope“ is not correct, it is hemp fibers, but you figured that out on your own. 😃 Thanks for sharing! Enjoy you videos very much. 😊
Hi Becky - LOVE THE CAT. I don't believe any of these kits or boxes are worth it. I understand the intrigue of getting them but after a while it stops being useful. Don't you find that?
The mystery is what I love the most, haha! Future boxes are quite a lot cheaper than past boxes, looking at their site. It's then a total gamble as to what you receive, so that's definitely a consideration. I have a lot of supplies now so I prefer to know what I'm getting and not end up with repeated items. 😊
Hey love I’m a previous video you posted a corner cutter ? What would you say is the best but not expensive option? also, Do you hav an affiliate link for it? thanks :)
@@momma8487 I linked the We R Memory Keepers one which is the specific one I'm using and I know it's good, but there are a number of generic versions on Amazon too which are cheaper and look pretty much the same. Search "corner rounder cutter" and they should all pop up. 😊
What a cool cat you created. Thanks for sharing Becky.
Thank you! 😊
Amazing how the black liner pulled everything together, good job! 👍
Black pen saves the day! 😆
Oh wow such a unique color selection! It was satisfying to watch you paint the patches 🥰 but the cat turned out so fun too
Thank you, I really enjoyed painting with these colours! 😊

I love the patchwork quilt! I think it would be an interesting way to swatch out new art supplies. I might steal the idea!
Go for it! Maybe I'll do all of my swatching in patchwork format from now on too, lol.

Love the artwork. Very great retro paintings. Think the white paint was necessary. You certainly do some very creative pieces. Enjoy your week.

Cool cat. I immagine him riding a bike like Steve McQueen.
Cheers from Italy.

Haha yes I can see that! 😆
I don't mind the basic range. I've only had one paint from the range, fluro pink and it's so pigmented. That pen looks great.

Great colors in this box! Except for needing a white, of course.
