That's not really the case. They are eligible to receive welfare and state subsidies, and they probably have some kind of trust or other family member/relative helping them out financially.
Asian countries normally aren't very generous with welfare BC they wanna encourage self sufficiency and not be overly dependent on govt $ unlike western countries

Ultimate respect for the 2nd sister. At that age she is manage to provide for her 3 younger siblings. If im that age i dont even sure if i can provide for myself. She is so mature and responsible unlike their mum who move out leaving her 10 years old child and his sister alone although they barely have the money to survive. Sorry sister #3 should work too not just the sister #2. Sister 4 should look after her little brother. Sure teach him to cook and clean but running all the errands is not on. Even in US if you see a kid under age of 16 alone that's child neglect. I bet #3 isn't at school so she should be working. Sister #1 even if she does get married should keep helping her siblings or ask her husband family unless she like her mom. Big #2 sister so good even though she moved out and working she still helping pay for things. See the stress in all of them because there no real grown adult helping them. I think somewhere it did say sis #3 does works. But I think they didn’t focus so much on her because hers is probably part time, and sis #2 has become the head working full time. Most of the money is coming from her.
The sad thing is, they shouldn’t even have to do any of tht in the first place. Okay, didn't expect to cry looking at the title. I remember the first time I saw my little brothers "love letters" and I showed it to my friends too HAHAHAHA but on a serious note, I hope things get better for them as a family. It was so difficult watching the 2nd eldest explain their situation in tears. I think she is amazing, doing all that at her age even though they have a living mother out there. Really makes your re-evaluate your life and be grateful for the blessing you have in life.

When I started watching dramas I was very touched by the rol of older sister and brother in Korean culture, but then I realize that reality is most of the times so far away, in Hello counselor I have watched several true cases where older siblings are so cruel or humilliating toward their youngers. In fact not only in family but in society I know is a matter of respect to elders but nowadays these elders are only abusing of that respect. I hope they try to fix that and not abuse youngers that much.

For school-aged children, it includes school fees + lunch, and if you choose to go to a public university, all of your tuition fees are covered by the government, but it's not a whole lot and obviously it's still hard to live off of just government assistance, kind of like how it's hard to live off of food stamps in US. The 2nd sister could theoretically go to college for free, but then she won't be able to make the kind of money she is making now to support her younger siblings.

Sorry sister #3 should work too not just the sister #2. Sister 4 should look after her little brother. Sure teach him to cook and clean but running all the errands is not on. Even in US if you see a kid under age of 16 alone that's child neglect. I bet #3 isn't at school so she should be working. Sister #1 even if she does get married should keep helping her siblings or ask her husband family unless she like her mom. Big #2 sister so good even though she moved out and working she still helping pay for things. See the stress in all of them because there no real grown adult helping them. Wondering about other family members of dad's or mom's side. Why are they not helping them.
I think somewhere it did say sis #3 does works. But I think they didn’t focus so much on her because hers is probably part time, and sis #2 has become the head working full time. Most of the money is coming from her.
The sad thing is, they shouldn’t even have to do any of tht in the first place. They should be enjoying their childhood and studying for school and their future, not worrying about supporting their family. Also, i hope the oldest sister still sends them money and tht she didnt just abandon them aswell.

He doesn't feel bad is doing errands but how they take advantage of him for being young. And he is right they shouldn't treat him as a command doll. And he knows that is hard in his home. But I just hope the second sister doesn't give up on them, also the other two to help her and work, I know is not easy to study and work, but girls, everyone has its own life and we need to adapt to ours hardships and stay strong, wathever we learn in this life is always for the best.
Aside from the main concern, the family obviously needs financial help. The mother should have had the decency to still pay the bills and send allowance. The youngest isn't even out of middle school yet and she dipped. smh

Okay, didn't expect to cry looking at the title. I remember the first time I saw my little brothers "love letters" and I showed it to my friends too HAHAHAHA but on a serious note, I hope things get better for them as a family. It was so difficult watching the 2nd eldest explain their situation in tears. I think she is amazing, doing all that at her age even though they have a living mother out there. Really makes your re-evaluate your life and be grateful for the blessing you have in life.

When I started watching dramas I was very touched by the rol of older sister and brother in Korean culture, but then I realize that reality is most of the times so far away, in Hello counselor I have watched several true cases where older siblings are so cruel or humilliating toward their youngers. In fact not only in family but in society I know is a matter of respect to elders but nowadays these elders are only abusing of that respect. I hope they try to fix that and not abuse youngers that much.
They are really the cutest family... you can already tell the sisters adore their brother so much.. there is so much love in their eyes.. also the brother loves them back but is a little confused and maybe a little confused too... but they will make it work 100% ....

Also it’s normal for siblings act like that especially for my family (Asian) also the 2nd oldest sister gave up her dream to take care of them. The other 2 just act normal and sometime make him do errands because they worked too. They would be tired so I get what they did.

For school-aged children, it includes school fees + lunch, and if you choose to go to a public university, all of your tuition fees are covered by the government, but it's not a whole lot and obviously it's still hard to live off of just government assistance, kind of like how it's hard to live off of food stamps in US. The 2nd sister could theoretically go to college for free, but then she won't be able to make the kind of money she is making now to support her younger siblings.
