Also, given Korea’s high abortion, teen pregnancies and shot gun wedding rates, I really do understand where the Mum is coming from and why she’s so militant about educating him HOWEVER, she’s going about it the wrong way and is using fear tactics and embarrassment rather than informed and respectful education.
Chim Cham i agree with you maybe the mother's way wasn't the best but she did something important since as you said sex ed in korean schools is not the best and parents are usually very timid too
Chim Cham I like how she never fails to remind her son about sex education but like what you said the problem lies within her. She's embarrassing her son, she should learn how to control herself.
i was laughing so badly at that part but i was also suprised i mean honestly idols these days even get question shit storm if there are pictures and you see gel or condoms somewhere lying around its sad that idols have to worry about stuff like this and feel uncomfortable. but i loved how while one was really putting himself in the boys shoes the other was all cool about it and said its needed education like a grown up who never had to go through that talk :D
It's easy to learn about it, it's harder to realize its consequences and separate that from the pleasure, which usually doesn't happen until you're an adult.
@KamilaDalmate I really like your mindset. I was lucky enough to have parents who were open and honest with me. I'm thankful to them they took the time to educate me on something so important. We had sex ed in school, but there was so much missing. Like developing healthy sexual and non-sexual relationships, the importance of consent, affection and emotion, the physical functions of our parts (and many variations!), risks and consequences, communication, etc. They started introducing me to such things around age 11-12 and by the time I was 15-16 I had a huge headstart on my contemporaries, who only knew what was taught in health class, what they saw in porn and sexual experiences retold by our peers. I feel very fortunate to have been given a well-rounded and realistic education. The internet has a lot of information, but it's like going to the library and not knowing what books you should be reading if you don't have a framework to put the information in.
This was great. I haven't laughed this hard at a Hello Counsellor episode in so long. The MCs for this show are really great, I'm glad it didn't turn out that awkward for the boy
I totally understand the mum! Koreans are not educated enough about sex (and the whole procreation stuff). And it's great that she educates her children (not just explaining but teaching them to be cautious and to control themselves....) But she needs to find a way to teach her son without making him uncomfortable
christinamay149 SAME! And now that I’m in Middle school people come up to me and ask me “Have you got a crush, who is it?” I would always respond saying “No, I have no crush. I don’t understand why it’s so important.” I don’t really know what s*x is but in Middle school I learned that it has something to do with dating, now it makes me not want to date at all.
christinamay149 lmao relationships didn't even cross my mind in middle school. I was too immature. In high school I thought about it but I never had the courage to talk to boys much, so I never dated in high school either ^_^;

Okay, I understood her reasoning up until near the end. Then it just seems like she gets a kick out off humiliating him and doesn't care about how feels about her "education" and her touching him. That is not okay to me. It's one thing to joke around and yeah, embarrass and tease occasionally, but she seems to do it way too much for her own pleasure...
omg when they started to asked him about his relationship i was dead. imagine have to tell story about your relationship on national tv. poor kid and lmao junmyeon couldn't stop laughing 😭😂
so, facts that I get from this clip is 1. abortion rate in Korea is highest 2. there is condom vending machine in Korea's public area 3. some of student in Korea have after class course from 5-9 pm (it's really tiring isn't it)
There is also 3 place that has prostitution in korea.. and true sp many people do abortion even kwajangnim asking my co workee to do abortion if she dont like the baby.. aigoo :(.. and i think npt proper to teach that thing in younger age coz it makes them more curious and possible to do bad things soon..
Johanna Sweet Adults tend to forget everything they'be gone through and do the same to their kids. It's a pity.... Seriously - I'm disgusted at her .. the way she treats her children and their friends is just disrespectful (and no, I'm not against sexual education)
i think she is low in EQ, i always pinch and squissh my lil bro cheeks because he is cute in my eyes (he is 19 now), but i wont ever do that in public.
Why do a lot of young people starting from 1st grade of elementary school are already in a romantic relationship? Me, when i was their age, didn't even know what a couple or love are. Times are indeed changing and kids know more and more.
Children know what romantic love is from movies and books meant for children. Its not odd that at that age they know they like someone romantically. I had a boy I loved in 1st grade. His name was Matt and even as an adult my mom tells me how his mom would say how much he talked about me. We were in love in an innocent way and theres nothing wrong with that.
This particular mum might be too excessive. But what I think is more important is that we should stop making sex this huge taboo and embarassing thing. Having a more open conversation about sex, contraception, masturbation, orientation and stuff like that will reduce unsafe sex practices, accidental pregnancies and any mental stress that is associated with sex. I mean, the only reason these kid were so embarrassed was that as a society we have deemed sex to be something taboo and that shouldn't be openly talked about.
We live in a overly sexual society so no, I'm pretty sure it's not a taboo with how often we see it. Maybe in certain countries but as a whole, no, it's not a taboo. It's promoted and encouraged.
I think that what she's trying to say it's that sex is often taken as a taboo when it comes to talk about it with our parents. It's not the case for me, but a lot of my friends can't talk about it with their parents because they will find it gross or something that is only for adults. It's important to talk about this with teenagers or even kids because this topic is everywhere and sometimes it comes with SO bad in formation that it could lead someone who doesn't know about it to a pregnancy, std, an abortion or even hurt their partner during the action. For example, a lot of boys learn about sex from prom videos but there the sex is sold as something where the girl is used, where the condoms are not important or that sex is something where only the boy leads and the girl follows. There's so much to learn and I think it's important to get to know these topics and take them with no shame or as a taboo
洲欧 Well. Masturbation is a fairly normal aspect of many (if not most) people upwards from their teens. But, at least where I am from, it's a pretty shameful thing. Yeah, it's silly that she is doing it for a reaction, but talking about it in a mature way can help normalise the entire conversation about sex...
"His reactions are great." Bruh, that isn't a valid reason to grab his butt and embarrass him.... And honestly, what mom grabs their 7th grade son's butt?? For real????
It's not sexual. It's familiar, some families are like that. My mom and older brother did it to us, I do it to me younger siblings too lol but I know not to do it in public lol
Suho is everything in this episode. 😂😂😂. Out of all the episodes I’ve watched he is definitely the most involved guest and has the best reactions. I’m dead 💀
Jem Chilibeans I saw it as "The mom definitely *overdose* " xD and I was like "huh wha-OHHH" #TooMuchNeoyaIgeonOverdose But yeah I agree with you. The mom needs to trust her son more... -.-
I understand where's the mother coming from, if I was her I would worried too but not to this extent. I mean, it doesnt have to be infront of his friends, it would make them super uncomfortable
min yoongi I talk about it to my mom when our Governments' Department of health will be implementing that give free condoms for high school student I told my Mom I don't agree on that (also I'm 16) for me that will lead more students to have sex for a young age.
i can only talk this topic with dad because he is more open minded but not with mom..my mom will scold me for being unlady like just because im curious abt sx education😂
I heard it for the first time in 3rd grade, and I asked my friend what it was and she said "It's how babies are made"..She was only a few months older than me-
Her behaviour is actually pretty sinister in my opinion. Even if her intention is not to be sinister, her behaviour certainly is. She's harrassing her child. If he feels uncomfortable, I don't care what explanation she has. She shouldn't do it. I hate her couldn't care less attitude on the show. It makes me angry because I've been in that kid's situation and I know how damaging it can be.
Very damaging parenting indeed. I felt so sorry for those kids. She has no boundaries, no sense of pedagogy and no respect for them. There's lots of ways to teach kids about sex without harrassing them like this.
@@lsamoa She is not teaching them, she admitted she says these things to get a reaction for her own entertainment. She said her daughter does not react it was not "fun."
Oh dear what rubbed me the wrong way was the part were he said that his mom kisses him on the lips when they go walking and grabs his butt. It’s not even a slap but a grab my dude. It just sounds disgusting to me but maybe it’s just the way that the words were translated that came off wrong but I don’t know.

how is this funny to people.. who cares if she does all this in a “loving” way. he doesn’t like anything she’s doing and she doesn’t stop. that’s all that matters
Yeah, definitely a logical stance here. Parents should just stop doing everything their kids don't like. Who cares if it's out of love, care, or in their best interest!
@@vexu7366 While I do find the mother excessive, your statement raise some red flags. Parents should stop doing everything kids don't like is neglect and can be consider as abuse. The child don't like to eat? Then, don't let him eat. The child wants to play in a dangerous alley at midnight? Well, we can't force him to stay in the house so let's let him get murder. That's how illogical your statement sound. Parents' responsibility includes them taking a stand against their children even if it means them being a villain in their child's eyes.
She overdoes it to the point where it's embarrassing even for the audience and the viewers but she's not fully wrong. We have kids gettng pregnant at 16 or in the worst case getting diseases because they don't get informed about the consequences.
Daniel Shin watch the video... they said it too that abortion rate is very high
Its very okay to teach sex education in a detailed manner just like the mother. the problem and the only problem is, the son is getting embarassed.
Why is this the comedic Korean version of Dr.Phil?

i was laughing so badly at that part but i was also suprised i mean honestly idols these days even get question shit storm if there are pictures and you see gel or condoms somewhere lying around its sad that idols have to worry about stuff like this and feel uncomfortable. but i loved how while one was really putting himself in the boys shoes the other was all cool about it and said its needed education like a grown up who never had to go through that talk :D
"You know... taxi..." I DIED.
Ironic since it's him that says "SEXY~" in Growl hahaha
Kana Ren lmaooooo
maybe BECAUSE of that maybe he was like oohh I know that word I wanna say it I wanna say it
Kana Ren can someone explain this taxi thing?
I never got the "talk". Learnt sex ed by myself. Already knew most of the things we're learning in sex ed now when I was in like year 3 of primary.
Lyrik Savea I’ve never got the talk but I don’t have sex education so I pretty much learnt it myself.
Neither did I but if I ever have children under my roof as their caretaker I’m definitely going to have open dialogue. It’s definitely necessary.

I totally understand the mum! Koreans are not educated enough about sex (and the whole procreation stuff). And it's great that she educates her children (not just explaining but teaching them to be cautious and to control themselves....)
But she needs to find a way to teach her son without making him uncomfortable
I agree 👍👍
Plus she invades his privacy which is really creepy. She needs to tone it down.

That's what made me realize his mom had all the right to be concerned lol.

I don’t understand why it’s so important.” I don’t really know what s*x is but in Middle school I learned that it has something to do with dating, now it makes me not want to date at all.
i think the bigger problem is no one could even bare with me for a month
christinamay149 lmao relationships didn't even cross my mind in middle school. I was too immature. In high school I thought about it but I never had the courage to talk to boys much, so I never dated in high school either ^_^;

FUCKING EXACTLY.
"she gets a kick out off humiliating him" < you hit the nail on the head. That's exactly what she's doing. Disgusting. That's not education.

Why do a lot of young people starting from 1st grade of elementary school are already in a romantic relationship? Me, when i was their age, didn't even know what a couple or love are. Times are indeed changing and kids know more and more.
when i was a first grader, the only relationship i was in was with my crayon.
Kids have more information. It doesn't mean they know more at all.

His mother and sister are pretty.
PREACH!!
There's so much to learn and I think it's important to get to know these topics and take them with no shame or as a taboo
randomisawesome 👏👏
