came out good but i am not a fan of painted aluminum parts. rather have it bare and clean and maybe some clear coat on it to prevent it from corroding.

Out of curiosity how concerned were you with paint seeping into sealing surfaces like fuel injector ports, valve cover seals or water outlets?
I'm going to paint my block when I rebuild the engine now!
Thank you. Not concerned. Some paper towel in the ports and some painter's tape protects all of that.
Looks better than it was, but I'm not a fan of black engines. Better in silver. Just get her in the car and send it! 😁

How long does it take for the paint smell to go away? I cant tell if burning oil or if its just the paint

I painted mine whilst it was still in the car. Ended up having to paint the whole car as well to get a colour match. Cost me £4000 in spray cans.
