Not only did you restore it back to better than its original form ! But you went above and beyond by adding the headlights and the new rubber tires and made it better than when it was new ! you truly are a artist keep up the great work I love your videos👍🏼🤩
Welding and finishing of broken tabs is excellent. This impresses me every time! Sewing tips for next time: wash and pre-shrink your cotton duck, then iron. That's what happened to the original: it wasn't preshrunk, the truck got left out in the rain, and the cotton canvas cover shrunk. When you are sewing, the most important thing is the iron: keeping your fabric ironed gives you a better looking result. Love to see your beautiful vehicles, the wacky sheep, and Quality Control Kitty!
I love the way you bring an item To be restored by your tow truck, it's like it's going to be alright this guy is going to make you look like your old self so I am taking you to get made over. I am in my seventies an I really enjoy watching you. God Bless you my friend.
When I saw this one, I was afraid it was more rust than truck at this point; but you proved me wrong! Every one of these restorations makes me happy: I love seeing once loved and now trashed things being brought back to life. What wonderful work you do!
IF you love the work you do...... You never work a day in your life! Such a great job bringing back toys from the past. When your imagination was limitless while playing.
It's interesting to wonder if the original assembler at the toy factory would have guessed that almost some 80 odd years later you would come along and restore this magnificent piece of history?

Now all you need is a nice display cabinet for them. Maybe consider doing a colab with another channel ? You restore something for them, they make a display station for you - win win for both of you.
I should have known that sewing would be among your many talents and that there would be an official Chip Channel sewing machine to go with it! GREAT JOB on this one.as usual.
I never get tired of watching these restoration videos. These always come out better than when they were brand new. You do such awesome work. I really like the look of this vehicle with a vintage military look and working headlight upgrade! I would love to have this in my collection excellent restoration work!
You probably get this in every video, but it's incredibly satisfying to watch the paint and rust disappear during sandblasting. It just makes my heart happy. :)
I've been watching your channel for a while now and I have to say, that the sandblasting is very satisfying. Even more than the powder coating. Love your work.
I have not watched very many of your videos yet but I love the way you completely restore things instead of just fixing them or modernizing them like a lot of people do with things. Many people alter or upgrade things instead of restoring them back to original, but then they call them restored when they are not. Update: After watching the rest of the video I realized that you also alter things, so I take back what I said about you doing perfect restorations! You do PARCIAL restorations with modifications! Also known as renovations.
You did an amazing job on this .Surprised me a bit when you got the sewing machine out ..Well done .My Dad encouraged me to do dressmaking after buying a sewing machine for Mum who never showed interest so he did odds and ends on it lol..My favourite part of all in the renovations is the Sandblasting .It’s amazing just a few minutes and time and rust has gone away...Love watching the transformations 🥰
These are such great toys, especially considering that it was the Great Depression era. My 97 year old mom, as she says, "never had anything called a toy". They didn't have shoes in the summer, running water, or electricity... ...Very much, a rich kid's wonderful toy.
Just a suggestion - for your pliers, instead of using tape wrapped around the jaws how about using rubber tool dip on them? It would coat them in a soft but durable coating to prevent causing damage and can easily be redone when it eventually wears out. Just a thought....

Impressive work! I like the kitty, too
Aujourd'hui vous nous faites une démonstration de couture ! Félicitations pour l'ensemble de vos réalisations.
Well, we can now add sewing to your list of impressive skill sets.👍
Selection of tools and the noises they make is particularly satisfying.
I love the way you bring an item

The sheep look happy. Really nice restoration.
Maybe one day Chip can open a Toy Restoration Museum...
And display all of his restored toy collection

"I am not sewing. I am upholstering, which is one of the five original industrial arts."
I love the Crispy Noise of Vehicles which you create while doing Restoration..

Chip, lovely work EXCEPT that your new canvas top needs a dye job of OD green. The original was that color!
I would agree, also, military trucks don't have any "chrome" either.
Does it matter if it’s not the same color as the real thing
Beautiful job, you take all details. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I love the opening how the toy tow truck takes the soon to be restored piece away
Love the making of the contact cods, and the canvas. The military is proud and so am I!!!!! Great job!
You probably get this in every video, but it's incredibly satisfying to watch the paint and rust disappear during sandblasting. It just makes my heart happy. :)

You are amazing I played with that exact truck at my grandparents I loved going over there just to play with the old truck thanks for the memories
Wow, for someone to use the sewing machine for the first time you did a relly relly good job.
I'm glad that you got that sandblaster fixed now it really cranks
Chip this is a work of art!
Great , happy for the next assignment .
Pretty fancy truck to be military - the bed looks like an Australian Type 304 "Tray" Ute. Whatever, it's a cool little truck and your work is awesome.
OUTSTANDING!!!
Beautiful job. My boys had Tonka trucks.
More than 50 years ago.
Seriously cool modifications
That old piece of trap would still look good to use in the future
Very impressed you know how to show!
A resto-mod in the truest sense of the word.
Awesome restoration. Love your little helpers. Thanks for sharing and saving another toy.
I enjoy the restorations and the personalities of your sheep!
Nice sewing skills your mother would be proud. Nice job with the powered head lights that could of gone bad real quick if your drill slipped. A+
That turned out awesome

You never cease to amaze me, with the things that you build on the fly. You are truly talented.
I love the towtruck part.
The sheep with the hard hats used to be my favorites, but cowboy hat sheep is quickly moving up the ranks
No love for Pilot Sheep? 😥
Pilot sheep and cyclops sheep tie for third
You did a great job on the tarp
Very nice!
I believe that the addition of a U.S..Army's Star emblem on the roof and "U.S. ARMY" in stencil on the bedsides would have been great....
I love watching powder baking.
That certainly was the appropriate tow truck to use!
Fantastic Videos. I Love the playtoy from this time!
Its fascinating to see how toys that were used to be made from a sheet of steel. My dad called them tin can toys.
Love it! Canvas just needs to be green.
Hello mister beautiful restoration good job

Should the grille have been done in a matte finish, as the army painted over all chrome parts on vehicles?
