Glad it was recorded I missed the launch
Same
Me too it happened at 4:30 am in my time zone.
@@danielwhippleton3683 u pacific too?
@Ascher Lafayette yes I am.
Like, yeah we made a billion (idc the costs) dollar rocket, what? No we didn't recorded the launch why would we?
Thank you for this..I missed the actual live take off
😢😢😢🙏
What? There is one almost every month - with landing too, which is much more spectacular. Follow STARLINK.
Me too
Have a blessed journey..
Congrats the entire team
Great job 👍👏
When it was T- 2:00, I thought to myself “These are the last 2 minutes that Perseverance will ever be on earth before heading to Mars forever”.
Not, it's coming back
? Man you're stupid.
@@fjames208 Why would it come back? lmao
@@fjames208 he meant the rock samples I think
Why not to be studied or showcased in a museum some 200 years from now it's plausible @@M1LKBeats
I would love to be part of the first team to go to Mars. Count me in NASA.
Congratulations 🎉 well done 👍
Just in case can I have your autograph now? Lol. Go for it
😂💗
We need to change the way we propel objects. Space is too vast and at our current rate of technology we are not going that far.
@@tanvirkabir4960 I'm sure NASA is open to ideas 😀👍

@@immigrantgaming420epic I'm not saying it isn't. I'm just proud that our country is the one pioneering these achievements. Jeez are you American? If you are where is your patriotism? So many bad things happening in our country we should be proud of the good things.

I was there on the beach watching... was amazing. Historic. From seeing the old black n white television launches of the 60s, to seeing this in person, as well as the space center itself, was an indescribable moment..

The chase is on.
¿Was it my eyes, or was the aspect ration of rocket engine at the separation at 04:44 incorrect, or does it seem so from that angle? It must be the aspect ratio because in 04:47 the rocket looks oval, not circular. ¿Is there a reason for that, was that intentional?
you should get your eyes checked mate

Someone mind explaining how it got up to 59523 MPH?
@ 1:21 - The RD-180 is actually a Russian rocket design & is being used by the U.S.
Not russian....
USSR 💪💪💪💪💪💪❤️
10ms early!?!? What kind of second rate operation do we have going on here 🤪. CONGRATS NASA! Can’t wait until February. Maybe you can be early for that as well!
Christopher Kemp,
I thought the same thing... 10 ms? Seriously? And remember that the Apollo 11 splashdown was approximately10 seconds late and off by something like 1 mile - some ridiculously small margin of error. Yeah, the folks who design these vehicles and run these missions are all something very special, indeed. Well done, everyone!!!
Firstname Lastname exactly. Gives me some hope we’ll figure out the other stuff we seem to not get right!

Missed the live. Is there a lot of debris coming off it?
The debris is just the rocket pulling the engine off for when it gets into space.
@@hermitsunite953 Thank you 😄👍
Thumb up for Perseverance of Humanity!
Where's the next stage engine ignition at the end of the video? The announcer sounded nervous too.
The upper stage engine ignites at the 4:50 -4:55 mark. It's burning hydrogen so the flame is almost invisible in a vacuum. During night launches, with less ambient light, you can see a blueish glow behind the nozzle.
Highly questionable. Possible failure?
@@misccomments9752 Not questionable at all, the launch went fine.
How was it that long ago.
it takes a year to get to mars

HI FROM INDIA....GREAT JOB NASA....WONDERFUL.....Dr.satyanarayana swamy kadiyali....nandyal...kurnool.ap.
How come I can still see it in the skies when it's in space and I'm looking up on the ground? I would of gone in that if they'd let me. If they need someone to go count me in!! 🖐️🙋
Sky is space. Just like you see the moon in sky in daylight.
Because the only reason why the sky is blue is because of sunlight refracting off the oxygen in the atmosphere, there is no real boundary to space. At a certain point the atmosphere becomes too thin and it is therefore space.
@@marcustrevor1883 thank you for being smart

Unreal that it won't reach mars until February
why is that unreal?
Just the length of time february seems so distant
@@tomlynch6176 Mars is a long way away...not unreal at all.
the name suggests something NASA is seemingly suffering from: 'Perseverance' through the increasing science illiteracy in world in general and its losing grip on seemingly lost vision in space exploration.
That's amazing they decided to recontinue
Honestly in the past years, we didn't have a drive or main reason to go out and explore. We weren't trying to beat someone like in the Space Race, but we also didn't have all the knowledge that was required to go to Mars.
Rumo a Marte kkk
NASA is getting better. No mouse this time.
Perseverance & Tianwen-1 will have a rover party on Mars -
my vaccum robot says: Mankind is mean, I can not be there !
I told him he is not made for mars, but he is sad now !
Tell NASA to send hik
Him
Did they just grab some random person off the street that morning to take a video of it? That was sad, person filming is as unsteady as could be, not zooming in at all, image not in the middle of the screen, not even during take off. There are 5 yr olds who make better videos than that.
I'm disappointed it didn't land 😔 😕
It will land. But in February 8, 2021. So you can't just expect it to land on mars just one after the launch. lmao, i bet you don't even know how it works, kiddo.
Bob on the toilet. What was that just went past?

"The Perseverance of Humanity, launching the next garblel yakdakjsfllkjasdl" Somebody take the mike away from that damn marketdroid and give it to one of the flight engineers. Thank you. We're watching the video, OK, We know. We're already in. We don't need to be sold.
"Atlas TU has gone to closed loop control. ...SRV chamber pressures remain nominal...." That's the loop chatter I want to hear.
Hope it doesnt hit the ISS
lol you think they launch things into space randomly? They have a map of space debris and orbiting satellites you know.
@@unhommequicourt I was being sarcastic actually
@@unhommequicourt If you notice I made a joke about Bob being on the toilet below.
color video on the rocket but black and white on the rover . . . something is fishy here.
No. They are already releasing color photos. A lot of the first shots were verification images to confirm the vehicle had successfully landed and was working. They also were taken with the dust covers in place.
Fake! Camera shots prove it.
Michael Bell no they dont
Another rocket launch going to nowhere
Lift off everything is fine....then why do you have to go CGI....well I think many people now knows why.......ups you went in the OCEAN ;) what a joke we know the earth is not a spinning ball....IMPOSSIBALL
