brooo😂thats my dad on the part where you ask about something about the watermelon, and he says "nah im good" i cant believe i watched this random video and found him😂
your stuff is seriously on par with channels that have several million subscribers. if you keep this up, you'll get there... i'll be here for the ride.
Visited Barrow last July and was really excited to see someone else visit!! Such a unique place and experience that I’d definitely recommend to anyone looking to go.
I lived in Grande Prairie Alberta and worked in norther BC. I experienced -67C°. Its insanity. Every breath you take, you can feel your lungs hurt. Everything freezes, i mean EVERYTHING. Really cool though. Had to do 14 hour shifts on oil filed, going in and out of trailers to warm up. After couple of years, i had enough lol
Damn I’ve experienced both extremes. Worked in the West Texas Oilfield, Permian Basin where it gets up to 115 degrees during the summer. 🥵 Definitely not fun to be expected to wait on a job that’ll take 6-8 hours in that kind of heat, full PPE Gear, in the hot sun. Coldest job I’ve ever had was by birthday 01/01/2019; 16 degrees Fahrenheit, no natural barriers to block the dessert wind chill, and trying to swing a hammer with dam near frozen fingers. 🥶 I learned a lot that day; but -67 degrees, 😱 O Brother!!!
The thumbnial made me think this was a Ryan Trahan video, I almost clicked out when I realized it wasnt. Super glad I stayed and watched the whole thing. What a wicked experience, very well documented and thoroughly entertraining :)
I live in Alaska I'm in Fairbanks I was born here A lot of Asian/Japanese people travel here for the winters cause it will be "fun" Its a Year-Round thing.
I don't usually comment but you're so underrated. You have great, creative ideas and your personality does a fantastic job at making this video entertaining throughout. And as a person who studies film, the way you filmed and edited makes it feel very professional, and the quality is really high for a channel with only 97k subs. Keep it up and one day you'll really blow up.
Whoever is reading this, I wanted to say I hope you have a great day and that God loves you so much that He sent His son, Jesus, to die on a cross for your sins and He rose again from the dead three days later. God Bless! And also, He doesn't want you to go to Hell, but He wants you to go to Heaven with Him but you have to be Saved. How do I get Saved you might ask? Here are the steps below on how to get Saved! 1. Believe that God sent His Son (Jesus) to die on a cross for your sins and that He rose again from the dead 3 days later. 2. Confess to Jesus that you are a sinner and ask forgiveness for your sins and Turn away from your sins. If you sin again after asking forgiveness of that sin, ask forgiveness again and try not to do it ever again. Jesus will forgive you! 3. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and your life and for Him to be your Lord and Savior forever. 4. Build a Personal Relationship with Jesus by Praying and Reading the Bible daily and Live for Him Forever. I'm Praying for you and you are loved (Romans 10:9-13
I'm a first Nations from Saskatchewan and I never knew that if you ever froze your hands or feet that you would have to use ice water. It is true if it were for a physician's point of view, it would get removed. The elders have very good knowledge of the teachings of the land. We need to keep following those ways. More importantly, keeping those teachings alive.
I once lived in the Midwest and remember the unforgiving winters lol. Tips for survival that I remember was steel belted radial tires, extreme cold weather ❄️🥶🌨️🌡️gear waterproof gortex gear and you're good. Nice video educational.✌🏿
I was in Barrow back in the early 90s for my Meteorology classes I was taking in college for 2 weeks (I stayed an extra week on my own dime for, reasons lol) the cold is on another level. The fact they have to wrap car batteries in basically heating blankets (maybe these days they use something newer/better) and keep the cars running at night so the fuel doesn't start to freeze is mind blowing. I don't remember exactly how cold it was when we went, but it was definitely pretty close to -40 or -50F and the wind chills were worse. I still remember breathing out and my breath just started floating down to the ground it was so cold (and it hurt to breath in). And then one night (it was 24-hour darkness when we went) it snowed and it was like little darts just shooting at you at high speed. Though I will say, prices back when I went at that store were much lower (obviously) but even with inflation etc. taken into account things were still much much cheaper back then. Fun to see Barrow in 2023 (well 2024 for me now lol) and I would still like to go back one day before I die.
I was expecting you to have at least a million subscribers. This video is beautifully done, thank you for showing us this! You gained a new subscriber with me and I can’t wait to watch your other videos !!
I’m really high and your video made me feel like I was there with you. For real, great video. I figured you had a million at least. You’re gonna be huge!
What an incredible video, i’ve always been fascinated by cold habitable places on earth like Yakutsk as well. i found myself holding my breath a few times from the excitement of getting to the northern part, dude this video was absolutely amazing!!
Well, I can say I’ve been to the most southern point of the US but definitely not the most northern you guys have my respect fist bumps to both of y’all!
This was a neat experience. I couldn't do it but glad to watch somebody else. I didn't know that there's a duch thing as being too far north for the northern lights in Alaska. I wouldn't have expected that.
Great video! Clifford in his red vehicle 🚗 reminds me of a book I once read! Ford for the W pulling you out of the snow! That was some amazingly beautiful scenery that you captured of the landscape! Fav part of the video for me was seeing Will!! Keep living the dream and making GREAT content!!
i dont think i can ever survive such cold country, coming from the Philippines which is a tropical country, but my gooddd i'd love to spend a day there. Esp that one where youre in the Arctic Ocean the drone shots were amazing too.
9:00 Even in the northern-most part of Alaska, people will wear shorts in the middle of February. I wonder how people are in Alert, Nunavut with shorts?
Barrow doesn't have a Walmart, nor a McDonald's. There's is only one global restaurant chain in Barrow. It's Subway Sandwiches. They have more locations than McDonald's. Mainly because why is that their small & they can be found in small towns across the United States 🇺🇸. Barrow strangely as a Wells Fargo Bank.
i was wondering when this video would be uploaded. this was filmed last year i think? you talked with my dad at 21:26. we just drove into town not too long ago when he talked to you
I have dealt with -40 Fahrenheit before. it SUCKED SO MUCH. cars wouldnt start, batteries were dead, constant power issues, no water because the pipes froze at the water treatment place. No heat because we had no power no gas nothing. it got so cold outside, my phone flashlight (LED) started flickering. I still had to go to work. had to walk the 3 miles there because the cars wouldnt start. got there and was sent back home a few hours later due to lack of business ( work in fast food) so it all just boils down to where you live to see what you consider cold. in that -40 weather, my dad was wearing SHORTS with a coat.
those cars that are plugged in arent for the battery. its for a block heater because even GAS engines will struggle in that kind of cold. diesels get plugged in when it gets below freezing, they would 100% fail to start in that place without those block heaters as well as the fact that the diesel will gel up if its cold enough
Refreshing to see a young dude pop off on UA-cam with out being a POS like Jack dorthey or neon And it’s also nice to see locals be nice to tourists since they aren’t acting like assholes
Beautiful video! Scary but pretty. You'll never forget about this :) you'll be a old papy telling your close ones about that time you were out here with your buddy. You absolutely made me live through this, thank you
This mans INSANE (in a good way) This shit is HIGH QUALITY, it costs extreme amount of money too Man should have atleast 5M Subs Congratulations on 100K 🎉
First time I ever snowmobiled I was driving my friends dads brand new fancy mountain sled. It was going great and I got super confident and started going faster and faster by the time we were going home I was at 90 some mph and turned hard right to avoid a deer instinctively rolled the sled and broke my arm lol. Have to respect the power of a machine!
I saw a Barrows, AK video recently, more documentary mostly, but YOU GUYS made your visit so much more fun! The snowmobile is so mini cool and donuts at the end! Yay! Kissing a Caribou head¿ oh man, so weird! Having fun with the temperature was amazing. Frozen vegetables magically turn into bowling balls lol . Your vid made it so much cooler & you all made me smile through your cold journey! Thanks for the epic FUN adventure you shared with me! I'm so glad I found this! The coldest i've ever been in was this last winter in South Dakota. Got to -50F 😭. I walked outside for a few seconds and it was unbearable
The hottest i've ever been in was only like 101F, dosent get very hot in South Dakota lol
Couple of years? Would have taken me a couple of hours lol
