I think checkering when you have all the spots filled in is fine

Challenging Monday Crossword. I was not yelling E because I knew you wouldn't hear it.
My time was 13:49, no help.

Great effort on the puzzle today! Was rooting for you to to finish it without checking, but alas. It happens.
It was nice to see you go through the puzzle to check for your error. However, you only checked the down answers when you probably should've checked the across answers too. You most likely would've found it had you checked the entire puzzle from top to bottom. It's definitely good practice to check EVERY answer if you aren't sure where the error(s) is. It often works for me when I realized that I made an error somewhere and don't know where to look. It's a good skill to keep in your back pocket every time something like this arises. Otherwise, I think you do have a good handle on the Monday puzzles. Just have to practice more.

There's an adjective SPLENETIC meaning bad tempered.
In the weird belief system of the four bodily humours , black bile was thought to come from the spleen ( it actually stores red blood cells) and cause outbreaks of temper.

There’s an old saying, “vent [their] spleen” for showing anger. Not really sure about the derivation tho.
