He told me you were his best friend while you lived together in London. I had the honour to meet you in Brighton last year and was so happy that you remembered him. It really meant a lot to me and helped to teach me the power of music -- and art, in general.
The bbc really knew how to record these artists all those years ago. Their sound engineers were just leaps above at this time. I’d love to dig into their archives, they recorded Genesis in 1970 and they are on UA-cam and also sound excellent.

My daughter graduated from UNC Chapel Hill. This song is the university's theme song. When they played it in the stadium before commencement, you could hear a pin drop. His father had been a dean at the school, so James actually did live there. Whenever I hear it, I cry for no practical reason at all.

I went fishing at small fry lake with my dad on weekends and James Taylor was always playing. Needless to say every time I fish, camp, or just generally need a minute with nature, James Taylor is the choice. If I ever have kids I’ll do the same.

Amazing to see such an early performance of this great song. Watching a young JT start nervously and recover from mistakes reminds us we all have to start somewhere. But the sound quality is so good you can hear the budding star emerging. Priceless

I went fishing at small fry lake with my dad on weekends and James Taylor was always playing. Needless to say every time I fish, camp, or just generally need a minute with nature, James Taylor is the choice. If I ever have kids I’ll do the same.
