Thanks Joe, great tutorial. Note to other users if you didn't already know this, but in settings at bottom of video, you can change the speed of playback, handy if someone talks too fast or slow.
Was worried that Studio One might not have much tutorials. In the end I changed to Studio One because these tutorials are way better than some other popular DAWs provide
Joe...you have 90 thumbs up at the moment; 0 thumbs down. I was thinking about giving you a thumbs down because nobody's perfect, but then I thought...Joe, me...well, there are exceptions to the rule! Love your tutorials, Joe. You've got the experience we rookies need to learn Studio the right way. Another great job.
A thing that I found with the Hide Track option is that you can't assume that just because you can't see it that it won't play, because it will. In order to hide and and not hear it (and keep it from using computer resources), you have to choose the Disable Track option first and then the Hide option.
Thanx, this is helpful! I am super new to Studio One, so bare with me with a noob question - Is there a fast way of finding the aux track to respective send? Logic always has the relevant aux track visible beside the main channel strip in the inspector window, so if I select one send knob in the main channel strip the relevant effects on that aux track pops up right next to it...
I have 8 drum mic (XLR's) plugged into ASP 800 which is routed to iD44 by optical cable. The iD44 is plugged into alienware computer by usb-c cable. I have Presonus 4.5 Professional and I am having issues getting any sound at all to record. Do you have any video suggestions? I have watched several by you and they help, but I still haven't been able to get anything to record. Thanks for all your videos and I am looking forward to what you have to say.
1:15 No, that's because it's a shitty design to have things hidden like that. It either all should be unfolded and Inspector should scroll vertically, or the 3 sections should each collapse into respective "folders", like in Cubase
I can't delete a track or channel in the mixer area... If I create a instrument track in the arranger, it doesn't show in the mixer... but if I drag an instrument into the arranger, it shows in the mixer... Now, if I delete a track in the arranger, it still shows in the mixer... I can't seem to get rid tracks or channels in the mixer area...
Does anybody know how to hide the track info panel, (located to the left of the arranger window)? I don't need to see it at all times. Thanks in advance!
@@RiffMusic1970 - Thank you for sharing that. However, I was looking more for hiding the rest of the left panel (with the mute/solo/track names) so that more of the arranger window would be visible. For example, when the 'browser' window is hidden, the arranger window takes up that space, on the right.
@@RiffMusic1970 - I tried that yesterday, and it only went a couple of centimeters...LOL. At any rate, I'm hoping that PreSonus will make that an update sometime. :D Thanks for your response!
Do you have any vids on how to record a drum cover from Dropbox ? 2nd, Do you have anything that shows how to link audio to vid? Your vids are really starting to pay off!
This here is one of THE best instructional videos for Studio One 5 functionality. God bless you, Joe

Great tip on adding an insert to a selection of audio. Awesome. Appreciate all that you do.

And S1 loves YOU. ;) - Joe Gilder
Written on Joes epitaph: "I didn't use that a whole lot!"
This was a helpful vid Joe, however I would prefer a complete run-through of the section not just areas that you use.
Couldn't agree more, when someone simplifies something to they dont use that area, it's probably cause they dont know how either
Thanks Joe, informative and precise...much appreciated...
Thanks for watching. - Joe Gilder
Thanks Joe! I have been using S1 for a few years and I learned a couple of new things here.

i have impact inside a multinstrument why it dont show fader on the inspector now on version 5 🤨
Hey, Joe, I learned a lot; but I didn't learn any thing about the items which you do not personally use.
Dont have the Shift F4 track list function on my latest version of Studio One Pro, is that a Mac only thing. ?
How do you unhide a layer so that it will show again when you hit expand layers?
Hey Joe, is there a way to hide tracks that dont have any events in them within a loop selection?

pack folder dont have a fader track. why is that?

Click the “I” in the top left.

I don't know if we're selling the 25 year shirts, but there are the Presonus logo shirts here: www.presonus.com/buy/stores/apparel - Joe Gilder
i slide the thing, and still couldn't find that delay on inspector...

who else watches studio one tutorials and forget to turn off exclusive mode?
Dude,
Your microphone is upside down... 🙃
why is there a keyboard shortcut to show/hide the track list but not a keyboard shortcut to show/hide the console list
