The Uses of 49E Linear Hall Sensors

Hey viewers in this video I shown how to use 49E linear Hall Sensor.
49E is analog sensor which out varying by magnetic field it can be used as current sensor, magnetic field detection, magnet pole detection, and more.

Hi i am trying to build a e bike with a hall sensor that is built into the motor case for pedal assist i have a plastic ring with magnets that is connected to the crank pedals all the magnet poles are the same way , i dont know what hall sensor i have and it just turns on off on rotation . Could you adise a good setup eg hall sensor type , magnet setup poles same or N then South , i am lost

currently I can't find any analog hall sensor that gives 0v with no contact with magnet as your requirement, most hall sensor gives half voltage at output as compared to input voltage.

@@innovationic I made like yours but I had too less voltage on detector and had different behavior. I will made lift for building for Lego characters with many floors for my son. I always want to have something like this when I was child. Magnets will be on each floor and lift will have detector. This way lift will know that is on next floor 🙃

try using any digital hall sensor like A3144 and use P-channel mosfet to drive direct from a3144

@@innovationic Thx for advice, but I am using arduino + very week small magneses. This let me interpreting analog data as almost like digital (value from detector > some maximum means high, lift should stop). I will check it in practice ;-)

The range of hall sensor is roughly maximum of 40mm, in my opinion use ultrasonic sensor for this job.

yes, you need analog to digital converter or any comparator circuit so that signal will be high or low to use as switch

Why it’s give you 2.4v not 0.8v

Because this can measure both south and north poles by which its output will be half the input voltage I gave 5v input this means 2.5v out if you give 12v then it give 6v thats the whole thing

i used speaker magnet which is not enough strong so the outputs about 1.7v minimum
