      I stopped watching the video after a few minutes, was going to comment "Use a puller". I fast forwarded to where he finally used the puller because of your comment. Yemi Joel just knock off's in general. Low Quality steering wheels for people who are too cheap to actually invest in their cars. A 2nd hand legitimate steering wheel cost the same or a bit more than NRG's and are 100x better in the quality department.

      IMNOTA lmfao. The idea is your head never hits the steering wheel. If you don’t have a helmet and a 3 point harness, you shouldn’t trade your airbagged steering wheel for a KOOL STEERING WHEEL cause your broke neck won’t make you look too cool.

    • @imnota
      @imnota 6 років тому

      DevinRAR
      I know, I would keep the airbag, but as mentionned on the website, it's a street steering wheel, which means it can be used without harnesses, it doesn't mean you should do it but there's people who want to do it, so nrg provide them wheels and make money.
      But since most people that have a racing steering wheel don't have harnesses, they added some safety features just as a bendable rim.

    There's 2 threaded holes in part you wanted off. Make a plate with same hole pattern and another large hole in middle. Weld a nut on center hole, get a bolt same thread and put a point on it. Bolt the plate to the 2 holes and tighten center bolt to walk the base off. Or use a gear puller like you did and if you have one. Guess if you can blow up a 2JZ, you can also break a steering wheel.

    Out of curiosity, in NY and several other states you need to have a horn for the vehicle to be road legal. Otherwise you will not pass inspection. If i wanted to install one of these in my whip, is there anyway to mod it for horn? Because obviously the button in the middle, certainly won't do me any good as i'll find myself driving aimlessly down the road.

    • @eins2001
      @eins2001 6 років тому +5

      Actually, this wheel is 99% guaranteed to not have a DOT approval number. It is illegal to remove or disable any safety component in a car, such as an airbag, UNLESS it didn't come from the factory with an airbag. This wheel is meant to be used on a car used only for show or track use. Now, if you use this in a race vehicle where you encounter higher G-forces it is, in fact, going to eventually pop apart as it didn't even take much effort. Most tracks also require you to have a proper racing seat, harness, and rollcage. So whether you use it legally or illegally, this wheel is 100% unsafe due to very poor construction.
