Wow, I can’t believe this is on UA-cam. It is so crazy to watch this. My dad was there that night, after the show Tom sat down at their table and had a few pints with them. What a national treasure.
I loved Stompin' Tom. My family went to see Tom in concert and it was amazing, he was a wonderful man. I was 12 and I can't remember what I asked him but he thought for a rew seconds and his answer was honest. After the concert he stayed after and talked to everyone, he was a true ambassador for Canada. His band was just as awesome.
With his voice and guitar he became a ⭐ from sant john new Brunswick Canadian singer stompin Tom Connors I love al his songs about Canada he's proud to Canadian from Head to tow they will never be eny one like hem he's awesome 👍
I grew up listening to Stompin' Tom. So nice to hear him again. Nothing fake or plastic about him. I don't listen to the music being made now. It says nothing to me.

When you're 6 years old, it's 10 pm, Dad's sippin' a glass of wine and singin' along to THIS blasting away on City TV - well, what Lemmy Kilmister once said couldn't be further from a lie.....you'll never hear anything better than what you listened to as a kid. Hollywood couldn't beat it any day.
I was a kid living on the Canadian border near Ontario, Quebec, and New York in the seventies. Spending time in Montreal, Massena, Alexandria Bay, Brockville, Kingston, Ottowa, Toronto, and everywhere in between. I especially enjoyed hearing the Quebecois French with a bad English accent because that is how I speak it. This video brings back some great memories of those years!

One thing I never understood about STC and I've tried it myself is, how he could stomp all night long!! I tried it through one song and man that is tough! He must have had one hell of a great hip to stomp all night long?
If this movie digitally remastered for the 50th anniversary hard to find movie on DVD, Blu-Ray and 4K UHD Blu-Ray, might be something must be done. Even Entertainment One might own the rights to this movie as if the 1994 The Raffle movie must.
The fact is I do not tolerate people smoking because they do not understand cigarette, cigar and pipe smoking are horrible health hazards. Since June 2004, nobody smokes at the Horseshoe Tavern before that closed down later in life.
Smoking itself may not be an overt health hazard to the person smoking themselves but to others related specifically to the hazards of "2nd Hand Smoke".
The fact is this is from 1973 and I do not tolerate people getting into other people's lives. If they want to smoke that's up to them just like if they want to drink it's also up to them and how do you know they don't understand the health hazards of smoking? It's a fucking health hazard to cross the street and to use a cell phone so everyone should stop using a cell phone and crossing the street while your at it LMAO!!
“Sharon” was behind the times. Can’t imagine this song went over well with the women in the audience given the time that this was recorded. Polite but not moved! Abortion rights, women’s movement, civil rights movement etc. Keep women pregnant at home looking after a man is passé.
Stomping Tom copied no one. He was a force by himself. There will be no one to take his place. Loved him as a preteen and love him still as he sang of my beautiful country - all Canadians felt that love as well.
@@bethrobarts2314 sorry.... I think this was taken out of context. Years ago, I had this video uploaded. This channel's owner took and re-uploaded this and several other files from my page onto this one. I agree.... tom was a true original. That is not what I was getting at! Lol
