Mr. JP Cormier shows the beauty, kindness and emotion of our beloved, Stompin' Tom Conner, who my deceased Dad & I at a young age, listened and danced to Stompin' Tom Conners records, it was the 70's and into the 80's but Dad & I still listened to them and loved them!! Thank you Mr. Cormier for your wonderful tributle!
Amazing performance by JP Cormier Much respect and RIP Stompin Tom WOW everythings better in Canada including Country Music,Keith Kimmey in USA Hearts in Canada
I just saw JP with Dave Gunning at the Edmonton Folk Festival last weekend. They were fantastic. My son and I caught every performance. Amazing musicians and wonderful performers.
really enjoyed your fun playing a lot of tune I know but some I have only heard but never learned so far have payed for 70 years violin with my fiddle and fiddle stick just like you!!
Glad to say we have a very good friend in common,...Gills Plante. We became friends at the Hank Snow Tribute about 15 years ago, that I’ve been part of since 1997, now held in Liverpool. What a great player!
Wish you the Best Brother John ,your Playing and personality says so much to me ,words do not complement your playing and ive have heard alot of different Genres of music ,love you man and always wil,l you made a grown man cry just in your performance ,that dosnt happen at all to me
90 percent of human beings are simpleton fools. Due to this, 3 minute 4 chord 5 note melody bullshit songs are all that people want. Real talent gets buried because it's too sophisticated to truly hit people. They can't comprehend it.
@@vzeller I've started playing music such as Doc Watson etc...in small venues (my favorite places to play). Audiences are flabbergasted hearing this kind of music...I enjoy telling stories of Doc whenever feasible....I spent 5 long years practicing this music before performing. This Canadian gentleman in this video is outstanding BTW! 👍
My aunt Mary Mcintyre did 70 concerts with Stompin Tom in 1990, and a 1991 6wk tour as well. I will have to follow up with her on this one, as I am sure she will have some great stories from that time.
There is nothing liking, sitting around the kitchen table which is where everything happens in a Newfoundland household. You get 2, 3 5 guys with guitars 🎸 a fiddle. Oh did I mention that there could be a few beers he said laughingly. But not a better time could be had. Family, friends and relatives and anyone who happened to drop by. All were always welcome and all were fed. A wonderful province that I am proud to say thanks and where I am from.
Im not sure where this song came from JP because its one of your best I thought you lost it ..the gig with dave gunning isnt working dave is way ahead of you your not in his league Let his do his own thing hes just being kind to you..
you know what they say about opinions huh? Sure glad Jp wont be listening to yours. Sometimes the right thing to do is keep your opinions to yourself if its only you that finds value in them. Your just rude. You dont know where the song came from? Did you bother to watch the video? Did you not read the description or are you only here to trash him?
It truly is unfortunate that you will go through life as the example of ignorance has an opinion. Dave Gunning is a fine musician and a gentleman and you should not dishonour him with such trash talking about someone he respects. I expect you to apologise to him on this forum.
My God what a beautiful song! Dang, JP, you can really sing a song! Thank you so much. Best & cheers, Sean
“Because sometimes being nothing is the best thing that we’ve got “
