Brother your wife has a beautiful voice!! This song use to be on our when it came out in 1975 I was 15yrs old and been playing guitar since I was 8yrs old a lot of folks didn’t remember Ruffes he was a good guitar player that’s what drew me to the group!!
I'm in love!!! Emily is definitely my new love!!! Pretty, sexy, and the voice of an angel!!! You did great too Dave with your tutorial. I noticed no ring on her finger which sparked me even more!!!
Always great lessons and the vocal helps a lot… in the verse I try to play that AM7 and let the open E ring on top then play an DM 9 and let the open E ring out on top
You the only mo fo out there with the right chorus I thank you I’d still be trying to figure it out in my next lifetime I’m subbing Now please come up with a definitive version of ISNT SHE LOVELY OR SUPERSTITION ON GUITAR BECAUSE Well because please you know
Most people get the Superstition chords wrong and it drives me nuts. They just play triads B C B Bb to A7 back to B. This is wrong. I will show the correct way in a few weeks. Thanks for the comments. Isn't she lovely isn't one of my favorites however I did a lesson on the song AS from the same album.
Killer song!! Great lesson!! Thanks Dave!! Btw, if you ever get the chance, check out the solo acoustic version Prince did at Webster Hall, its a pretty awesome cover, cheers to both of you!!
Totally awesome..!! Thanks Dave..dusted off some gear thanks to you...these are great songs and the tutorials are super comprehensible. You have a great gift..The singer is awesome too...love her...thanks for your time..
Dave: Instead of the ascending notes for chorus, how bout: Bm7- C#m7 Em7-F#m7 / Em7-F#m7 2) after you modulate I would use the following descending line without a B7 : Dm7 -C--#m7- Cm7- Dm7 Thoughts here? BTW excellent vocalist!
I just play it how I hear it. I'm not a 100% certain what you mean because I'm reading this while I'm cooking, But anything you do I'm sure it's gonna be fine

There are other lessons for this song on YT but they don't get the chorus, which you nail (nor do they have sweet vocal accompaniment!)
