I've been playing guitar for 45 years, and I just want to say it's so refreshing to see someone showing us the chords of these songs who doesn't bore us with wasting our time with the added talking about stuff that doesn't matter. Others make a 20 min. video plus they don't put it in context with singing over the chords. They just talk and talk and talk. I swear they're in love with their voice. So Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Mr. Dave. Also your Wildfire Video was great too. Keep up the good work.
I gotta agree, and I'm a friggin' Babbler myself. When Dave talks its funny, positive and inspiring. Efficiency of content! This Cat is the best I've found on UA-cam. Not blowing smoke up his fanny. Gotta credit when it's due.
If you put the capo on "backward" at 2nd fret leaving the low E uncapoed (open) you can play the intro with A string open both chords and on the verse Amaj13 (5X665O) to Am6 (5X0550) and the low E is available when it goes to E chord later
Thanks for taking the time to teach us.I just discovered your channel I love your teaching. Can u please do when possible Tender Falls The Rain by Randy Crawford.thanks Dave❤👍
love it.... brilliant song... brilliant production ... I usually don't like that many layers on a recording but this one works on record and works stripped down as well
Great lesson Dave. I was wondering how you were going to make it sound good without the voices. It's incredible how 10cc put this song together. The making of it video is well worth watching. One of my all time favorite songs. I was a kid (9) when it was released, loved it then too.
Great Lesson Dave, been wanting to learn this song properly for years, also it has the added bonus of all the slash chords in it which sound fantastic.🙏
Thanks Dave, I really appreciate your lessons.. I have seen quite a few how to play lessons of this beautiful song..You do it the best!..You are an awesome musician..I dig it..Very good 👍
Hi Dave trying hard to learn this song by 10 cc. I only have one question on 4:12 coming out from solo there is an A chord what are the notes for that A chord on the 9th fret, other then that just practice.Thank you very much for showing us this song and how you play it thumbs up.Tried to ask the the guy with the flash light but he thru it and ran.
This guy is something else. At 3:30 he plays A instead of B and doesn't even notice it? And then he plays E5 and doesn't provide fingering. However, it was somewhat useful.
What I like most about Dave is he doesnt waste time explaining every little detail of every note and finger, just the facts. lol

Wow! You play so well!
Nifty chords! Captured the bones to that song perfectly! Now just add 100 background voices. :) One of my all time favs by the under-appreciated 10CC.
Probably the best single from our kidhood. This is outta the park!
600+ vocals.

Hall and Oates She's Gone vibes, especially the intro.
My acoustic duo used to add a verse of She's Gone to the outro.
Wonderful video my friend
