Hello, to anyone interested these are the exact injectors I used to upgrade my truck, I will update this link as they become available. www.ebay.com/itm/305673281604?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=J_KkMPQWS6m&sssrc=0&ssuid=J_KkMPQWS6m&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I did the same thing with my injectors. I however usef 19# explorers in my fox. Great video!
👊😎✌️
Thanks for watching! I usually use Gen 3 injectors on everything I put together. They seem to work much better specially at higher rpm.
One youtuber to another great job
Thank you sir! I’ll check out your channel as soon as I get home!
Great content bro!
Thank you for watching!
Thanks for showing telling, if it does good I’ll change my injectors to.I am rebuilding my 460 it’s a 1990 porting my heads now, just trying to make truck run better. So thanks for telling showing see ya next time see ya bye.
How’s your 1990 running? I just bought a low mile excellent condition and running supercab. So naturally I want to mod it up lol.
@@dexterlecter7289 hello dexter lecter have not fixed it ,will try when it warms up shortly.have know place to work on it,just outside in bad weather. I’ll let you know know when if can see ya next time see ya bye.
Nice info, I'm getting ready to do this same replacement on my truck along with the FPR. I was glad to see that you didn't have to remove the upper intake plenum to do the job.
If you have a 460 you won’t need to pull the intake, but if you are working on a 302 or 351 you most likely will
Thank you for watching and commenting by the way! 👍
@@MrBlitzkrieg1987 I have the 460 in this truck. I've had 5.0 and 5.8 in other Fords and you're right, you have to take the upper off to do anything. I have to replace the valve cover gaskets on this truck so I'm going to do everything on one side at a time.
The 460 is easier to work on in that regard. Well hopefully you get some great results with the injector upgrade, I think that was by far the best thing I replaced on my truck!
@@MrBlitzkrieg1987 Got my injectors replaced last weekend. Your video was very helpful. I've still got some other work to do on the engine because I'm completing several tasks while i have things apart. Can't wait to see how it runs with the new injectors and FP regulator.
Have a 97 with a 460 I've had for many years and then one important thing I learned with that truck is because of the copious amount of fuel that runs through that system you need to run Lucas in it for one and number two you must change the co sensors every 30,000 miles with the spark plugs
I will be replacing the oxygen sensor soon! Thanks
Do you have an updated link to the injectors? I've 28015079 E8TE-B1C on a 1988 Econoline 460. They're single pin type, but not sure about the skinny body type vs the fat EV1 injector. Is there a diffrence between the light gray that you have vs blue despite the same part number? Thanks
Hi, I think the injectors sold out, I will update the link once the seller messages me. Im not sure which light gray ones you mean, maybe it’s the camera lighting, but both the plastic skinny type and the original ones are blue. There’s 3 basic types the single spray thick injector, the 92 and up 4 hole thick injector and the skinny plastic one.
I can’t figure out what vacuum port the MAP sensor connects to and where does the two BIG vacuum ports feed that come out of the back of the intake, the top big port and the one directly at the bottom, what do they feed ?? A rat chewed all up and I’m trying to replace. Could you do a video showing the vacuum ports ?
Hey there! The map sensor on the 460 connects to the top port on the back of the intake, the bottom port connects to the pcv valve on the passenger side valve cover… I hope this helps you buddy!
I'm super interested in seeing the results. I just cut the cones off my 89 intake. I have heard of injectors going sour and considered changing them. The flow bench really helped show the difference. Do u know the part number for the new ones? KEEP IT UP!
Hi! I’m planning to run the Test and have a video ready by the end of this week, the reason it’s taking a while is because I want to put a few miles on the truck to get used to the new fuel injectors. I drove the truck today and all I have to say is Wow! The difference in acceleration and power is just amazing. I will get you the link to the injectors as soon as I get a chance! Thanks for watching by the way
Hello, sorry it took me this long to get back to you, the injectors come from a 1999 Ford Taurus DOHC, but be careful because some have square plugs like the truck and some are oval(wont fit). If you want me to send you a link for where I got them let me know!

My 96 does not have the dual hose intake it’s a single hose into the dual hose
I carbureted mine and put an hei distributor in it and get 15 mpg
I’ve heard that helps alot, I bet it makes more power as well.
Would love to have a part number on the actual injector you used. This video is great but If I can't just look up a part number its useless
Hi, sorry I don’t have the part number right now, but they are early 2000’s Ford taurus 3.0 DOHC injectors. Just be careful because later years look the same but use oval plugs. You need EV1 style square plug injectors for the truck.
Do you happen to know the part number on the injectors new ones or what they came out of?
Hey, sorry for the late reply the injectors are off a late 90s early 00s DOHC 3.0 taurus. The later ones look similar but they use a different plug, make sure you get the square plugs
Has anyone tried increasing the "size" flow capacity of their injectors.
I have a OBS 1997 5.8L (188K) and a 1995 F-350 460 (65K) I am interested in improving my miles per gallon
I’ve dealt with fuel injectors for long time, you usually can’t go to a higher flow rate without calibration or tuning the ECU, which makes it expensive. The 5.8 you have uses 19lb units, you can change them to a setup similar to what I did using a set from a 96-98 5.0 explorer (make sure they are yellow) you’ll get slight increase in mileage
I have a 1995 Ford E350 7.5 l I'm only getting 6 miles to the gallon I wonder if this would improve if I switch the injectors over what is your gas mileage with a new injectors?
After replacing the fuel injectors I ran the test two more times, the best one was 14mpg. I did notice that driving a 460 with an automatic transmission seems to be the biggest factor on getting low fuel mileage. The ability to control the rpm and keeping the truck shifting under 2500 rpm with the 5 speed makes a huge difference on mine.
@@MrBlitzkrieg1987 oh wow that's really awesome thank you for responding I think I'm going to order those injectors and put it in my motorhome I really need to upgrade the gas mileage it was horrible last summer thank you sir!
@@peachyclean93 I have a 97 Jayco with this Motor. What did you end up doing and how did it work out?
@@MaxPartridge146 Oh, That's really cool I haven't done anything to it it's been sitting for the last 2 years sadly nowhere to camp 🤣🤣
Would a standard Motor Products FJ 699 work it has four ports and that's what comes on a 97 F350 I'm considering this for my 1990 F-350
Hi, as long as it is rated for 24lbs the injectors should work… if you use larger injectors you will need to have the ECU tuned or Flashed.
@@MrBlitzkrieg1987 great thank you so much for replying I've been trying to see which other models came with that same V6 engine of the Taurus and so far I found that mercury and jaguar also has that engine
@@lipperthefisherman1241 yes, ai personally pulled mine from a Taurus (it was 2 different ones because its a V6) what I noticed is only the earlier models have the injectors with the square plug. At some point the injectors look exactly the same but the plugs are oval, that’s the only thing you need to watch for.
Notice any difference?
Hi, yes I definitely noticed better acceleration once I upgraded them. I had the stock original injectors serviced before I replaced them too, so I am sure they were good and clean! And even like that the acceleration was improved when I switched over. To be honest I don’t think the original single pattern injectors spray enough fuel to feed the 460.
Check out Bad Tree Productions I have a 95 that I've done a few videos on the big thing is to call the 460efi guys they can really wake it up!
Hey, I’ve heard of the 460efi guys before, the problem about it is that I’m in Cali and can’t do the smog delete or change the set up too drastically. I think after changing the headers and exhaust I’ll probably find a sequential injection ecu and modify it to run on the truck.
@@MrBlitzkrieg1987 Have you heard of the Pimps by Stinger Performance? Check it out He's also a member at FTE Ford Truck Enthusiasts forum the 80-96 truck part
@@MrBlitzkrieg1987 have an 88, what headers did you use and where did you get them?
@jamesmontgomery9464 I haven’t changed the headers yet, but I am planning on buying some banks headers for mine! They’re really expensive but they are quality so I am saving for those
@@MrBlitzkrieg1987 was hoping for some insight... long, short, or y. the more i look into it, the more questions i have. looks like $1K+.

thoughts?
This is junk, use original ford injectors even if they are used… stay away from the China stuff. The ones I used where from a 1997 Ford taurus DOHC
