    Nasser is just a joy to watch! I saw this in person and she's even more impressive as you get to see how much smaller she is versus the other athletes. Shaunae was awesome to watch as well.
    Both their semi final times would have won them Gold at 2017 London, Bronze at 2016 Rio and silver/bronze at Beijing 2015. Their rivalry is just beautiful to watch.
    Watch out for Jonathas as well, she took off almost a second from her PB before Doha 2019.

    To people confused by how she was able to run such a fast time in the final
    1. Even with 5 races in her legs prior to the final, she was recovering afterwards
    2. She ran 49.17 this same year so she was in shape to run fast months prior and got better
    3. Because she ran on the track more, she was more in tune than the rest and knew how to run her race more efficiently
    4. She went out harder than she ever has and trusted her finish, keeping her form together, unlike other races where she waits till the last 100m to pour it on.

    Shaunae Miller Uibo has ran under 49 seconds in the 400meter, under 22 in the 200 , and now under 11 seconds in the 100 meters. As my knowledge of athletics is limited , could someone tell me which athlete that is CURRENTLY ACTIVE is or has posted similar times.

    • @242SPeeD
      @242SPeeD 4 роки тому +3

      Short answer is none. There are only three athletes all time to have done so previously Marita Koch, Marie Jose Perec and Valerie Brisco Hooks. Of these three, Koch seems to be the best ever at it with best times of 10.83/21.71/ 47.60. But the next best would have to be a toss up between SMU and Perec. Perec is only slightly superior at 100 (10.96/10.98) and 400 (48.25/48.37) but SMU is far better at 200m (21.74/21.99). The moment SMU crossed the line in 10.98, the legendary Valerie Brisco Hooks , the first athlete to accomplish the 2/4 sprint double at the Olympic Games.was no longer superior in any of her events to SMU
      She also came back to set the WL at 200m the next day with 21.98!!! Such was the history making show of force from this talented sprinter over a memorable weekend.

    Felix, Francis, Shaune Miller, Sanya Richards, Didi Trotter, Christina Day and Sherika Jackson (Jamaica), Ouhurougu ( Britain) remain the most hardworking, graceful and talented 400m runners. Very beautiful to watch. Naser had her counterpart/countryman (3000m steeplechase banned) I don't trust her. With athletics you just don't burst onto the scene and start giving others laps... there's a lot of losing. A lot of injuries and frustrations....hard work. But this is my own thinking. So haters keep your cool.

    • @amapoppinn1244

      Naser is the most feminine runner around. It’s SMU that is suspect, Naser didn’t just come into the scene she has been running for Nigeria since she was 13, Nigeria wasn’t able to take her to international levels so she switched to Bahrain. SMU looks like she is juicing check her previous races and how she has progressed.

      Also everyone you mentioned above has had a fellow country person banned, Christine was banned for a year after missing 3 tests and yet you trust all of the above 🙄.
      She didn't burst out onto the scene one random day, you can admit to being unaware of her without painting her with a broad stroke.... it is insulting to her hardwork and efforts over the years.

    • @gymintuition9232
      @gymintuition9232 4 роки тому +2

      Let's just get clear on a few things. First and foremost Salwa Eid Naser has much better technique than anyone else in the field right now, and even compared to previous top 400m runners. Second, even if SMU had won this race it would have been because of her superior top speed and not because of technique or race strategy. As a matter of fact that is the reason that SMU's race still breaks down at this level. Third, anyone knowledgeable who trains 400m can see exactly how SEN is doing what she is doing! Going back to World Youth Championships when she was running in hijab she was already employing this masterful technique! And it really is just as impressive as what WVNK did at Rio Olympics, so I really hope people will enjoy history rather than criticizing what they do not understand.

      Nasser ran two relay legs very early on in the games, i believe day 2 & 3. The 400 final was on day 7 or 8, tons of time to rest and recover. Besides, a number of athletes double up and still medal in 200 and 400, then still run relays and medal... Allyson fellix, Michael Johnson etc etc
      The advantage to this was practice on the track, you get more intimate with it and know what you need to improve in the next race... i.e. race experience. Besides, each time they race each other, they get PB's 2017 and 2018 diamond leagues.

    It doesn't matter that she hasn't won the world title, Miller-Uibo is the best sprinter in the 400 meters 48.37s wowwww... she has extraordinary times and in the 200 meters 21.74s
    Naser's arrogant attitude annoys me ...
    even with his incredible 48.14s. It is incredible how she ran almost all her races in 2019 above 50 seconds and for this competition she managed to drop 2 seconds

      Lmao how was Naser arrogant? You’re just upset your favourite miller-uibo didn’t win. Boo hoo. Everyone was hyping Miller-uibo up and she let it go to her head...

      @Marthin: I agree. Something isn't quite right about Naser. I don't understand how she ran 48.16 in the final with legs that should have been tired from running rounds in the 400M, plus the mixed relay races. Something is off with her.

      Nader didn’t drop 2 seconds, she ran 49.17 in diamond league lussane few months heading into this world championships. And she had been running well throughout the season being unbeatable.

      So true. The tattoos on an otherwise beautiful Woman is like graffiti spray painted on a vintage painting done by a world class painter. It's like picking up a beautiful piece of fruit at the supermarket and finding worms on the other side. So disappointing, and a turn off.
