This build was what I've been using and until literally last week didn't realize I was doing it wrong; I used ramps instead of wedge tips. Would love some more console tips and tricks if you've got them, I'll try to pay closer attention going forward.

I've found that using sideways wooden fences works as an early game alternative for the iron bars, and they're actually upgradeable to an iron variant.
Use scrap iron grates and upgrade with forged iron, they give 3500 hp instead of 2500 with iron bars. You can place them flush and double them. You can shoot through them but it's a little less vision. At 7000 hp vs. 2500 hp I use this method
Think this would hold off crawlers, dogs, cops and bees? Update! Awesome stuff, this horde base setup was dope dope. The zombie jerks couldn’t do anything lol. There is only one advice I recommend to everyone though. Either take out the cops asap, OR in the center build a 2 block high wooden plate that acts as a “shield” surrounding the hatch and upgrade it so the vomit from cops won’t hit you, also protects you from the explosion if the cop is too close. Other than that, this is awesome. Thanks sav.

@Saven's World I recently started using this horde night base design, and it's absolutely awesome! I love how I'm able to farm zombies with screamers and not have to worry about a thing. Thank you for this tutorial, I truly love this horde night base, the design works flawlessly. Also, it feels good not having to spend time gather resources and makimg repairs, now I'm able to focus on much more important things.
I only use this design when I'm pressed for time. I would like to mention though that you don't need the corner blocks and usually spiders don't climb they try to get you like a crawler. P.S. make more console videos ! 😊 😃 😀 😄 😁 🤣

This would work tons better in like a rectangle shape. If zombie gore blocks pile up, they explode and you lose all your loot. If the walls are longer you can change positions

I'm glad you made this. I wanted to play one of my files with a horde base like this one from like five years ago, but I was scared it wouldn't stand up to a horde over seven hundred days in with the new updates
Made a rookie mistake. Good thing I caught it early on day 7. I was testing with a screamer. I used ramps instead of wedges. Make sure you don't do that. 🤦♂️. Also, its a little cheaper if you use the iron fence instead of iron bars. One thing I've noticed each time I've tried this; the bodies just seem to disappear rather than turning into a gut pile. So make sure you build chests inside and loot them before they disappear. I usually make mine a 6x6 or 7x7 to accommodate room for a few chests. Works the same as a 5x5.
I built a room on top of this structure for storage and crafting and I use what a call "the nerd stairs" with a small jump onto the spider bars so that zombie jerks can't get up there but I can simply jump off the last step of my nerd stairs
Just started playing this on console and new to the channel but gotta say ive loved the content so far. Hope to see more console based videos as its soooo different from PC versions ive seen. Most tips ive seen are irrelevant which is unfortunate.
Very late to finding this just built this on mine and my wife’s game we restored and so far got it half way set up digging out the tunnels and getting ladders together I’m liking it a lot I want to turn the underground in some kind of pent house with lots of rooms lol
Me and one of my friends restarted a map on console and we love this game even though buggyness gets old and this helped us for a horde night set up away from the house we got. We also wanted to thank you for breaking this video down saying you need these supplies and zoomed in what they were. You kept it simple so easy to learn. Consider me subscribing to your channel. I just started playing on Xbox and I’m 100% going to build this thing tonight! I built in an old house that had a forge and it just despawned all of my loot boxes in the house and deleted my bedroll so I guess I’m starting over eitherway! Thanks for the tips
It's crazy how the current console version of 7 Days to Die is the same version of the game back when I started playing on PC. I actually feel nostalgic on the console.
Oh damn that works nice lol, got it up just In Time for new save day 7, I noticed if you get too close to the bar as you can still get hurt I wonder if it would be prudent to maybe create some type of gap inside? You know close enough for you to hit them not close enough for you to be hit by them, but still close enough to loot them type sketch.

Thansk for showing a console video, I just started playing with some friends on console and it's hard to learn whats going on because the console and PC editions are so different now.
So I understand this is an older video. But I am curious if this base can last on horde night 700. Or if its just a base thats only supposed to be used for a couple weeks and then you have to change designs.
I did this design 7x7 with my base on top. Here is the few mistake i experienced : -dog and burning zombie can sometimes damage the structure (pole) so be careful -the zombies literally break the poles when i'm upstair and smell me with food, i repaired the structure just before drama 😓 -dont put spike directly against the pole, because the zombies climb on it and then they "fell" into crawler (but they are still on spikes) and they can hit the poles Except that, working perfectly 👍
I have my main base close to this hoard base and have been getting attacked alot lately. I was thinking about building on top of this structure. I'm glad to see it worked out for you so it gives me hope lol

Thanks for the content not many people upload stuff for console players I’ve only recently begun playing bc of some UA-camrs I watch playing it and it got added to game pass but then I was super sad to find out that as of rn the game is in its final form and none of the really cool stuff are coming I’d love to play on pc but it’s really nice to see people showing us console players some love lol
Happy to help! The full version of 7 Days will eventually be released again for console, but that is quite a ways off. New console versions won't be released until the PC version goes gold.

IDK, I am not real builder. I find that a 2 -story wood house with a stone foundation , or a small stone building works just fine up to at least level 98 hordes. Just reinforce the doors-hatches /windows/ lower walls/floors as you go, up to cobblestone/iron by about level 70-80, and throw 4-5 ranks of barbed wire traps * around it, with 1 rank of spikes cones* in trouble/sensitive areas. It seems more "realistic" than these sorts of "mine-craft" forts. Kill the "zombie jerks :)" from the roof, door-hatches and windows ,as they get caught in wire. Think I have had 1 interior breach in that whole time in multiple world runs, without ever building an actual "fort". Granted I am playing about mid-level "vanilla" player/game settings, and zombies run at night. Anyway, subbed, I look forward to wat you might do , IF , a new console version is put out. God only knows what LCG/Telltale will do. * I don't like wood spikes though, they cost too much wood, and they kill zombies, (steal my XP), the barbed wire traps just cut their legs off, slow them down, enabling me to get the XP. Some die by crawling though alot of wire, but most live long enough for me to kill them. It is cheap to replace too.
Two questions. One how do 6ou keep the underground passages from collapsing and what about zombie cops? Wo t their vomit or explosions just destroy the building amyway?
I have played this version for a good awhile and I will say that it's a good start but, just be ready to deal with spiders getting stuck on the wood frames in the corners cause they will stick to that and screamer, crawlers, burning zombies, dogs and bears (especially) will do damage to those poles cause they're hit boxes is lined up for it. So, be ready to repair those frames but, otherwise it's truly good. Police zombies are decent as well... I just have a hard time killing so when they go 💥... It hurts!!! But, otherwise good base. Got kind of bored sometimes but, it's such a good one until the EVER decide to update this version for us lol
love this, deciding to change it a bit, make it 12x12 and slap a base on top of it. I got the base to cobblestone on day 5, I just need to add my walls on top. prob gonna just do flagstone cus its cheaper
I've been playing it again on ps4 getting use to the feel of it since I cant get a pc at the moment I'm having a blast I missed this game and cabt wait til they get it updated
Got the game back today and this is perfect. I'll be able to finally make it past day 7 and explore more. Later hordes I'm gonna have to worry about cops and if demo zombies are in alpha 16 then them 2.
You will have to deal with cops but not demos on console. The cool thing about this design is you can focus on taking out the cops as they appear and leave the other jerks alone until you've dealt with the cops.
I am playing on PS4 and I don't have wood shaped tips as an option. I have to build cement ones or Adobe peach ones, not available on day one. My version is borked though, I don't have traders either
I made a stair case out of wooden frames. Make sure to leave one space between the stack and your base so enemies can't follow you. Then I just built a ladder down into the base.

I hope that by adding this game to Gamepass and seeing that it still has a pretty good fan base it will entice TFP to work on patching the console version a bit

Is there anyone who might help me? I build the base and it worked perfectly, but when I started digging the tunnel I was around 6-8 blocks down before hitting rocks (1000hp). So I just made my tunnel above those rocks, tho when I was digging stairght ahead the tunnel collapsed. What can I do to prevent this?
I know the comment old but I just started to play had a hard time 12 times anytime I died I would reset my hole game back to day one I finally made it to day 7 but have not gotten a blood moon ?

I immediately shoot cops in the face repeatedly when they get to close. I end up losing the loot but don't have massive structure damage.
Or just upgrade to concrete or steel
if your on pc? then no- he said it wasnt gonna work- unless u change up the build a bit then maybe but idk for certain-

This base worked so well when I tested it! One thing I added was full corner blocks to the corners to help prevent zombies from getting stuck

Add wood catwalks arround if your on consol and you get to save more look. This way loot despawns.

You should be able to get this to at least iron by day 7. But unfortunately you wont have a 600 magnum by day 7.

I recommend log spikes about 4 blocks out to damage cops so they don't spit.

This is how I been playing on my console for years... It's a great way to start.. I eventually made a huge underground roadway on my navzegane map ..

the trick to horde nights is disabling running that way you can just melee all of them
I have played this version for a good awhile and I will say that it's a good start but, just be ready to deal with spiders getting stuck on the wood frames in the corners cause they will stick to that and screamer, crawlers, burning zombies, dogs and bears (especially) will do damage to those poles cause they're hit boxes is lined up for it. So, be ready to repair those frames but, otherwise it's truly good. Police zombies are decent as well... I just have a hard time killing so when they go 💥... It hurts!!! But, otherwise good base. Got kind of bored sometimes but, it's such a good one until the EVER decide to update this version for us lol

love this, deciding to change it a bit, make it 12x12 and slap a base on top of it. I got the base to cobblestone on day 5, I just need to add my walls on top. prob gonna just do flagstone cus its cheaper

I've been playing it again on ps4 getting use to the feel of it since I cant get a pc at the moment I'm having a blast I missed this game and cabt wait til they get it updated
Got the game back today and this is perfect. I'll be able to finally make it past day 7 and explore more. Later hordes I'm gonna have to worry about cops and if demo zombies are in alpha 16 then them 2.
You will have to deal with cops but not demos on console. The cool thing about this design is you can focus on taking out the cops as they appear and leave the other jerks alone until you've dealt with the cops.
Console is only alpha 15. 16 brought electricity and the navezgane expansion.
I am playing on PS4 and I don't have wood shaped tips as an option. I have to build cement ones or Adobe peach ones, not available on day one. My version is borked though, I don't have traders either
Even before the roof, I can't figure out an efficient way to enter and exit. Is the tunnel the best advice?
I made a stair case out of wooden frames. Make sure to leave one space between the stack and your base so enemies can't follow you. Then I just built a ladder down into the base.
Nice base! I am using a toothy design in my videos, it’s easier to get in and it’s just as effective.

I build the base and it worked perfectly, but when I started digging the tunnel I was around 6-8 blocks down before hitting rocks (1000hp). So I just made my tunnel above those rocks, tho when I was digging stairght ahead the tunnel collapsed. What can I do to prevent this?
Gotta get below those rocks. I usually go about 20 blocks down
what about forges?? and other stuff like that should you put in the tunnel??
I like to build down to bedrock and create a crafting area beneath the Horde Base. Great way to farm screamers.

Yeah you can cycle through block and item positions with right trigger
Shape blocks are only on the pc version
