I feel bad for people who never get to experience the true freedom of the outdoors and all this country has to offer. Your videos are an awesome piece of an almost forgotten part of our history. Great job. 👍
I bought my first rifle with my own money when I was 13 years old. I bought my first handgun when I was 15 years old. There used to be guns for sale at most flea markets, garage and yard sales.
That buck knife for that price reminded me of a sheathless buck knife I came across at a motorcycle show here in Arkansas, so dull it was only a stabber! I bought it, took it in the show where a fellow was sharpening knives for donations to the CMA. I asked him if he could do it any good, he took it and said come back in a few minutes, as he had several other knives laid out ahead of me. Came back in 30 minutes and gave him $10 and when he gave it to me, he said, be darned careful with it until you get a sheath for it. Man, it is razor sharp. Got a sheath and it is now in my bugout bag, should I ever need it!
Man, I could watch you go thru this stuff all day long. Love yard sales! Just ask the misses who yells at me every time I come home with more stuff that gets thrown into the den. It's getting crowded in there.😂😅
Rolling blocks are generally in 45-70 but I e seen them in 45-90 , 7mm , 8mm a lot of different countries used them in thier respective cartridges there is a lot more but the most common you will find in bubbas collection will be in 45-70
Usually everything is stunningly overpriced but the Buck knife was probably worth it. You just keep looking around and talking to people and you come across some good finds.
My first shotgun was a 20ga mossberg bolt action. That rolling block rifle was most likely in 50-70. I doubt it was a stagecoach gun. The other common military caliber is the .43 spanish
At last!!!!! I’ve been waiting for one of these flea market/yard sale videos……. You always see and choose some interesting items….. well done Chief, I hope your channel blows up, you deserve it, always excellent content……. 👌🏻🙏🏻👍🏻
That is a lefty.I got a buddy that has 3 bolt action 20 gauge Mossbergs but all right handed with polly chokes. We used to take lots of game with those back in the 80s.
I love that yard sale, you can find some great random stuff. I bought a fun Sterling PPL in 380ACP for 80$. Super interesting pistol I had never seen before.
That rolling block was probably cut back by a native American for hunting buffalo from horseback they were originally chambered in 45/70, 45/100, 45/110, and 45/120, 50/90 50/100 and 50/120 all calibers favored by the military, and the buffalo hunters.
7:40 Is a Remington rolling block. They were produced from the 1860's to the end of WWI. It is a carbine that has been cut down, note the saddle ring on the left side of the receiver. (If the gun was made after 1898 it is illegal (NFA 1934)) It could be chambered in .43 Spanish or .43 Egyptian or a long list of other calibers.
$50.00 for that shotgun! Sit back and Smokem if u got em! Enjoy! Great channel, cool stuff! Hoping you would have bought that shorty and showed us how the old stage coach guys handle them turkeys!!
Seemed like everybody had pretty steep prices on the used firearms. Gotta" start somewhere. You got a nice piece in that lefthanded bolt shotgun. In great condition they sell for 2 to 3 hundred. You can get a beat up specimen for under $100.
@6:25 someone would probably pay more than $20 for that old box of Norinco 9mm ammo just to have it on display, meaning that box of .25 ammo you were actually interested in would have been free for you 🤷🏼 also you said stocks are worth money, but didn't ask about that Norinco stock sitting further to the left from the Norinco ammo, those bring like $60-100
I would freak out on markets like that. It seriously is like a candy shop. Here in Sweden its possible to get a good deal but guns will never be for sale like that. Nice video. Thanks!
So Chief, I know you can't reveal where your best gun/stock hunting areas are on the 127 (just like a fisherman won't tell you his best fishing hole) but where would you suggest a new kid start. I plan to the 127 next August. I will look for guns & knives & stocks...and anything else that looks cool. THANKS!
I've found on the few I've come across it's usually a mag problem, factory original mags are hard to find but always work , some cheap aftermarket can be hit or miss
Got one of those bolt action Mossbergs in .410 as a kid. Think my uncle paid $30 bucks for it. You got a heck of a deal on that one I haven't found 1 of those in 20ga under $200
I love my guns and have a license for them in the uk but this is cool i wish we had these gun laws even a 22 is classed as a section 1 and you need alot of paperwork
Even air rifles they give you guys a hard time , that sucks ,I'm into all guns but lately have been big into pcp air rifles , even doing some hunting, right now I've got 5 pcp air rifles, 2) 22's and 3) 25's
I woulda been tempted to get all those what looked to be marlin model 60 actions on the one table but most of those guys are looking for a sucker comin. I hope no one is stupid enough to give 300 for that sawed off thing, and 500 for that muzzle loader. They must think we're stupid
I have an old Mossberg 12 gauge bolt action that belonged to my grandfather. It has one magazine. I wish I knew where to find a couple more magazines for it. Any help, please?
European mind can’t comprehend 🇺🇸🦅🔥

It’s like Germans trying to pronounce “Squirrel.” They just can’t do it
That shotgun was what gun thrifting is all about for me.. Nothing better than finding a parts gun and restoring it. Good job man

That's awesome!
Chief Smokem, congratulations on your restoration of that mossberg in 20 gauge. I love to see old guns get new life in the field. 🙂👍
Thank ya! I couldn't have done it without my buddy! 👌
Man, I could watch you go thru this stuff all day long. Love yard sales! Just ask the misses who yells at me every time I come home with more stuff that gets thrown into the den. It's getting crowded in there.😂😅
Do like me: Dear, how many pairs of shoes and how many purses, dresses, blouses and skirts do you have?
Awesome fun Chief. Thanks for showing us. Heck of a deal on the 20 gauge. Many blessings.
Thanks man! It was a great year at the 127! 🔥

Oh for sure! I could've had me a bb gun once! 😂😂. It was a great year at the 127!
Usually everything is stunningly overpriced but the Buck knife was probably worth it. You just keep looking around and talking to people and you come across some good finds.
Those are collector items now worth $130-180.
The internet really ruined the pricing of things
I got one of those buck knives for like 20$ brand new from my local hardware store.
@@kanenine5838

I’m surprised you’ve never had a rolling block! The smaller #4s are cool. Some 22 versions were marked for the Boy Scouts!
Sadly its now an SBR and kinda of a no no.
Always finding the deals😊
Really enjoyed. You are a real Character 😅.

Older mossberg stuff is awesome. Is that a left handed shotgun too or is it a reverse image in the camera? Super cool shotgun either way.
Nice vídeo, man! Nice gun you have put together!
It’s nice you can still find deals in the age of online gun auction sites that drive up prices
I like the turkey spurs hanging from the rearview mirror. I had a similar set in my old truck.

That is a crazy yard sale. I have never heard of that. If I didn't live out west, I would be all over that. Good score on the old shotgun
Pretty AWESOME! Wish I had this where I live.

one of the stocks was a I think? a Choate 10/22 stock, but im not completely certain.
do you need to do a background check at flea martkets like you would at a normal gun store? question a friend wanted me to type

Oldie but Goldie
The old 22lr gill gun love them for the ridiculously long barrel, not a fan of the dovetail scope mounts

Find an old shotgun news in print versions lots of ads for them in there.
Numrich gun parts Corp in new York
Ebay possibly, but prepare to pay up!
Nice find on all that stuff. The Mossberg was even for southpaws. You left handed? If so that makes it a fantastic once in a blue moon find.
I get that question a lot, lol. It's actually right-handed, it's just the camera angle.
That worked out well didn't it 👍👍
