I was genuinely happy to see this notification and when I saw the title immediately had tears close to my eyes, ( as my grandfather would say). I understand the need to not film, but I’m glad you did! I think you’ve touched more lives than you realize, and I’m certain that as you scroll through the comments you’ll see that you really have been missed! I felt it in my heart when I saw your title, and after watching the video I felt relief, that always amazes me, connections to strangers a half a world away! Soooo, thank you for taking the camera along, for the content and the warm calm that your films bring to my turbulent life, sincerely thank you! Take good care! Rick PS, I just finished dehydrating vegetarian chili for my first week long trip starting next week, scalloped potatoes and chow mien too :)
Thanks very much Rick!! 😊 I know exactly what you mean regarding the virtual connections that are formed...so alien to our rational way of being in the world! I'm very grateful for your support all the way over in Canada - amazing how it seems to work! Wishing you the very best for your upcoming trip - I'll be watching out for those dinners to see how they look 😉
What a privilege to share this outing with you. Thank you so much for taking us along with you. I am delighted to see you keeping so well. The views were absolutely spectacular. Looking forward to sharing your next adventure😀
Thank you so much Yvonne for coming along with me 🤗 Its a stunning part of the country and great to have been there in such nice weather...I loved it! I'm feeling very well which is so good!!
Great video Miriam, I had three stents inserted into an artery that had an 80% blockage 6 years ago and I am still climbing high altitude mountains and rock climbing. I work for the company that made the stents, Medtronic. It shows that there is still a life to live after treatments such as yours and mine. If we had the technology we have today my dad might have lived to see his grand children.
Thanks Dom! Great to hear how well you’re doing after your life enhancing procedure!! Janey….modern medicine really is incredible! I did a stint in Boston Scientific over 20 years ago another stent manufacturer…very special for you to be working for Medtronic I’m sure! I now work in RCSI and work on projects in the health system and I’ve loads of gratitude for the care I’ve been given and the training that our healthcare professionals undertake. Wonderful that you’re able to do all that you still do and a real shame your Dad isn’t around as you said…we’re definitely lucky!! Happy planning for your next trips 😊
Yeah! It's so good to see that smiling face out in the sunshine and open air again. How exhilarating it is to be out in the thick of nature again, after a prolonged medical absence. The soul delights! Cheers.
Hi Miriam. Seeing you back making videos and looking so strong and healthy again has really made my day. Please keep making your videos. I always look forward to watching them.
I’m so happy to see you out again. This video couldn’t have come at a better time. Right now I’m 2 weeks out from a colostomy operation and admittedly feeling a bit low because of the change in my body. Changes that so many of us go through. But like you I’m cancer free and that’s certainly a big plus. I’ve probably have about 6 to 8 weeks before I can get on one of my bikes again but I keep my Brompton in my living room to inspire me. I just can’t thank you enough for posting this video it has certainly lifted my spirits and has now motivated me to get out for a walk which I’m certainly allowed to do. I can only hope to be as strong as you. God bless you Miriam!!!
So sorry to hear that Doug about what you're dealing with right now and the limitations that you're experiencing 😕 Those better days for hopping on one of your bikes will arrive before long...fat lot of good that is when you can't do it right now I know. Great news about being cancer free! Delighted to hear that the video lifted your spirit in some small way - your message did the same for me! 🙏 Wishing you the very best for your procedure in 2 weeks, I hope everything goes really well for you!! xx

Hi Miriam, Am re-viewing your videos following your most recent video of 2 weeks ago. So wonderful to see you’re on the move again following all of your treatments. Best of health to you and will continue viewing your past and future travels 😊
Aww thank you Angela - that’s lovely to hear! I’m lying right now in my tent following a two night trip with the wind beginning to rise and remind me how small I am 😉 No camera on this trip but a lovely time away to reconnect again! Many thanks for your message and I wish you well today too 🤗

Thank you George for your lovely words! Such a simple thing to do as you know...to follow your desire and then to find out you actually enjoy it! Delighted you found this great pleasure too 🤗 Hope you're keeping well!
Purple mountain isnt the only mountain youve conquered this past few months, you are looking great Miriam, what can i say about Killarney and the Black valley , cant say im a stranger to these parts, you have captured it beautifully, yearning to get back down. Beautiful and on a human level, nothing short of inspirational Miriam. Welcome back x
Thanks very much Colin!! Yep, I know you're a Black Valley part-time resident 😍 I hope you get back down there again soon with a big fire and food ceremony! So lovely to be able to do this one and I'm feeling very good as a result to be honest 🤩 Miss your videos Colin! x
My cheeks are sore!!!!! Youve given me sore cheeks!!!!! I didnt realise I was grinning the whole way through that stunning video. Its truly good to see you back on the trail pal. So, so, so, so good. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Words are not enough.
Fáilte ar ais Miriam. Glad you decided to ease yourself gently back :) with a trip up the Gap of Dunloe!-. I got into Dublin on Monday morning and you must have picked the one perfect 24h weather window for this trip-when you passed a woman with a wide brimmed sunhat on, i knew we'd see some lovely views. The drone shots were stunning-your mission to show people the beauty of the little island totally fulfilled. And for everyone who know what you've been through, I think we saw a little of what that trip meant to you. Thanks for these lovely images. Legend!
Ha Brendan! Yes - no point in pushing myself needlessly 🫢 A gentle cycle and little hike to test the water! 😂 Yep, Monday it was! The Sunday was fab too countrywide but I’d made plans to visit a pal in Wexford on the Sunday (I didn’t cycle I promise 😉) I booked the train on Saturday night when I saw the potential of the nice weather being here in the early part of the week knowing I mightn’t get another lucky break like that for a while! Hope you have a nice stay while you’re over and that some nice weather returns!! It did me the world of good to get out and do this - a nice way to celebrate feeling so well 😎 Cheers Brendan, lovely to hear from you!
The Lady is back yippee, good to see you Miriam in fine spirits. The views are spectacular and colours despite the cloud cover on the mountains but it did give it a magical feel.
So glad to see you back. We missed your wonderful smile and enthusiasm for adventure. I am impressed with the amount of strength you have after what you have been through. Thanks so much for taking us along on this beautiful adventure. Welcome back!
Thanks very much Denis!! It did me the world of good to get back out again 🤗 Such a beautiful area to whet my appetite for adventure again…I’ve been riding the good feelings of this trip for weeks afterwards!! Thanks so much for your lovely message - I hope all is well with you! 😊
Watching this , 6 months after cancer surgery and having just finished at the week end a full days hike in the south Shropshire hills, my heart sang when I saw this Miriam , bless you . Keep on climbing, keep on cycling on the Brommie and best of all , keep on smiling you brave soul ❤ Danny K
Wahoooooo Danny - delighted you’re out the other side of your surgery and getting out and about for hikes!! The day after my surgery in the hospital, I truly believed I’d never be able to get out of the bed again. I kept feeling faint when trying to get up (obviously blood pressure etc)…I never felt so bad physically and emotionally in my life before! I sobbed at just how difficult it was to sit up…amazing how much healing happened in a short time. Hope you keep enjoying those hills Danny 😍 Thanks for your message!!
There is no question in mind that being in the Hills on a sun lit spring day is one of the most joyous things you can do . Cancer is grisly stuff and after those months with it determining your life, you start to be the boss and have some fun. You and Susanna T , in doing these videos , lift people up ; no small feat , almost as impressive as downing the Full Irish ❤
@@dannykahan6332the Full Irish that had everything 😂 Another cyclist sat at my table so I shied away from capturing the evidence! Special days on the hills for sure - that low sun and enticing light!!
Oh Miriam, what a glorious trip and the biggest smiles! So happy to see you again in such a beautiful place and thank you so much for taking us with you. You and Susanna inspired me to get a Brompton - now to plan an adventure! x
Hi Anne - that's pretty cool to hear about your Brompton, wishing you lots of fun with it 🤗 Thanks so much for joining me on this one...what a place!! 😊
You've been missed !! So so glad to se you riding and adventuring again ! I will be in Killarney Nat'l Forest next month, from the USA....and thanks for the preview. Scaling another high mountain - what a metaphor in reality !
@@MiriamKennedy you and other Ytubers hiking around Ireland have made me fall in love with it this last year... will be hiking with a group for about half day hikes at different places in SW Ireland.....all the best
great to see you back out Miriam, Looks like the Kingdom pulled out all the stops for your trip... and to make your comeback on the 12th highest peak ⛰ (MV 100) in the country,, fair play....👍👏
Cheers Eddie! A little plan I'd had for a while so it was great to finally get to do it. I now know I can combine some cycling and hiking into the future again 😊 A lot for me to do in one way, but worth it in the end!! 😂
Miriam, you absolute legend! Watching your video made me so, so happy for you and your thirst for travel and nature and your little adventures being realised again. The light shone from you in all your smiling!! SO happy for you. Glad your survival skills are so finely honed that you are able to survive chemo/ cancer and zombies with headphones! You're some woman Miriam! X
Zombies with headphones 😂😂 Cheers Siobhan - such a good thing for me to do!! I’m still riding the wave of my time away…it did me the world of good! 😊 The smiling was on overload for this trip - along with the panting and trust that my bike would be ok!! Thanks so much for your lovely message xx
Thank you Iain!! Such a nice trip to be able to do - thankfully I was able for it anyway!! 🙃 I got such great pleasure and strength from giving it a go and it then going so well!! 😊
Oh Miriam I am overjoyed to see that you are out camping again. Watching your previous videos encouraged me to get a Durston mid x 2. You should be on commission. So good to see you are well enough to climb a mountain. Thank you. You are inspirational.
Hi Brenda - lucky you having the X-Mid 2 as the X-Mid 1 is definitely tight on space in the inner!! My tent was a total mess when I first got in to it on Monday night...it seemed to take me ages to sort my things out 🤭 It was great to feel well enough to do this trip at last and to enjoy it as much as I did...it did me the world of good!
Great to see you back out Miriam, and hope you're keeping well. A fantastic trip and the views above them hills are stunning. Hope you're already planning the next one, all the best. John
Thanks John!! No plans for the next one yet - that one was cooking for quite a while so I'll have to see where I'm drawn next with the camera...I think it'll be Kerry for a while!! 😎
Hi Dick - best wishes to you too along your road of recovery also! I've been feeling really well for the last 10 days or so...great to be able to get out again at last for sure 😎
Miriam, a beautiful place and beautiful weather to return for this long awaited trip☀😊 A tough looking pull up to the head of the Gap and your bike hiding skills aren't too bad👍It is hard to beat a good camp spot beside a mountain lough, especially when it has spectacular views thrown in. Reward definitely comes with challenge, well done on getting to the summit👣and those further views with the cloud rolling in. Good to capture memories and to have space for yourself in such a beautiful place👍 I have heard that those 'pedal steps' cover some serious ground😊
Cheers Gerry! My bike hiding skills are especially lacking when tired…thankfully it worked out 😉 So satisfying to get back out again in nature and the wild..it filled me right up! Wonderful scenery alright and thankfully the weather played ball. It was a lot of fun to do! Cheers for your message and happy planning for your next adventure! ⛺️
Could hardly wait to see this video Miriam when the notification came through on my ‘phone. Marvellous to see you out on the road and on the mountains again. A beautiful video accompanied by such lovely music. ‘Big hugs’ offered in the most appropriate way from an auld Scot in France.
Great to see you back in action Miriam , looking fit and well. That’s was a fine trip on the bike then up the mountain , I did worry for your bike tho 😂 hiding it away down the hill !! TFS atb Dave ⛺️🚲👍
Cheers Dave! Thankfully the bike thieves weren’t out spotting me that day. I like the idea of further bike and mountain camps 😊 This one was much needed - I especially realised afterwards how much I’d needed that boost of wildness! Thanks so much for watching and your message / I hope all is well with you!!
Dear Miriam. Truly, what a wonderful human being you are! I am sending much love your way to a return to good and lasting good health. Take care and many blessing to you. Love and blessings, Ian
I've been following your videos for quite a while, being a fellow Brompton owner I'm inspired by your brilliantly filmed adventures. I'm so pleased to see you back on the bike and doing what you obviously love. Long may you continue.
Glad to see you back out enjoying life and the scenery during this adventure was just stunning. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to many more 🚴♂️⛺️
I was so excited this morning to see your video. Your adventures inspire me beyond anything. I want to thank you for deciding to share this trip with us! We are the lucky ones.😊
Yeah! Glad to see you having adventures again, I'm really pleased for you, great spirit. And you picked a beautiful trip for us to share. Look after yourself. 👍💪😁🏞
Ah Miriam you legend! Sad to hear about what you’ve been through but delighted to see you looking so well and strong (putting us all to shame as always)!
How wonderful to see your beautiful smiling face again! You look so well. As always a mesmerising 23 minutes of beautiful scenery and your charming personality shining through! Thank you! You are truly awe inspiring!😃
Warms the heart to see you in the mountains looking so well Miriam 👍☀️🏔️ But wow what a magnificent landscape Killarney national park is 🫶 you showcased it perfectly and congratulations on that summit (views 🙏🏼) All the very best Simon 🤠👍🏔️
Thanks so much Simon!! 🤗 I was really thrilled to get back out again, it did wonders for me! I managed another big hike today with some pals which has me feeling really good too. All steps in the right direction!! Killarney and its surrounding mountains is such a wonderful place - our highest mountains are located in this area and I’d certainly like to show off this area a lot more into the future 🤞 Thanks so much Simon, it’s lovely to hear from you!! 😊
Great to see you out and about again. Thanks for taking us with you and wow what a view. I think I rode that pass many years ago but not the hills but didn’t see much. Always love Ireland, a 🖐️ from 🏴
Great to see you back in action, Miriam. You're an inspiration to everyone undergoing cancer treatment. Brilliant video. Looking forward to many more in the months ahead.
Ah Miriam, you're an absolute legend 💪 I was delighted to see this popping up on my feed and to see you looking so happy and healthy, you're a true inspiration to anyone that gets a similar diagnosis ❤ And what a way to come back! The perfect location in the perfect weather. It was definitely worth making the summit hike for that sunset 👌 Looking forward to seeing regular trips again and thanks for letting us share this very special one with you 😊
Thanks Niall!! So glad I did the summit hike, absolutely worth the effort 😎 There's no way I would have bothered the following day with the low cloud cover. Delighted I could get out again for sure - 5 months was a very long time when I think about it!! 🙃
Well hello again! Happy to see your smiling face getting out and about and hear that lovely voice of yours. I've no real comprehension of what you've been through over the last few months... but I'm so glad that you, are still being you. Of all the places you've ventured to on that beautiful island of yours, Killarney is a place I've actually been to, but it rained more when I was there. WELL DONE x 🙏🏽
Still being me...ahh!! 🙏 The west coast gets so much more rain than I do on the east coast....this was a rare little opportunity! At least I can look at weather apps and decide when to go rather than having to book a flight in advance and hope for the best!! Killarney is such a nice spot (especially in the sunshine!) 😊
It's great to see you back Miriam, looking strong and upbeat as I knew you would be! I always really like your videos, down to earth and very casual. Mrs Paddler went through an awful few years of hospital blunders and misery from breast cancer, but she's recovered just fine. Yours and Susanna's videos always make for a weighty watch for me, knowing what goes on behind the scenes. Another great video Miriam, thanks very much for that and all the best in going forward 🙂🙏👍
Hi Tony - god, so sorry to hear about Mrs Paddlers challenges, that sounds very rough! Wonderful to hear that she has recovered well!! ❤️ Thanks so much for your lovely message Tony!!

Welldone for getting out and so soon after surgery too. Sounds like things have gone well for you which is excellent. Here's wishing the very best for a complete and full recovery Miriam, stay strong, you are and you will. Be happy, live life and go get those adventures:) Sandy
Cheers Sandy!! My body started to feel so much better in the last 10 days or so...great that I could get out and about again, I loved it! 5 months was a very long time in reflection. Thanks for your lovely words, I will certainly try 🙏
Such a great adventure Miriam beautiful scenery too and I loved the music. Didn’t realize you had surgery sorry, you’re an inspiration to a lot of people Take it easy for a few days and good luck in everything
Thank you so much for this update its great to see you looking so well, I’ve binge watched all of your videos and was desperate to see how you got on with your treatment, I know how hard it is to get through. You’re an inspiration, I’ve been a recluse since my wife passed away but have now bought a Brompton! First trip shortly hopefully it will stop raining lol.
I'm so sorry to hear about your wife's passing - what a loss that must be. Fair play to you for getting yourself a Brompton and I hope you do get out for some adventures with it. The bloody rain has been something else...surely we'll get some more little breaks in the coming months!! 🤞🙃 Many thanks for your message and your concern, I appreaciate it ❤️
Its really great to see you out again and the scenery looked amazing.the smile on your face says it all the enjoyment of being out biking and camping with a mountain top thrown in for good measure.im glad you seem to be doing well 👍
Ah I'm sorry to hear that Chris 😕 Damn...damn....I hope it does its magic and gives you great outcomes! I'll be thinking if you and hoping you don't have too rough a ride. Thanks for letting me know!! x
So great to see you back Miriam. Your resilience is amazing and your joy at being out again was clear. Looking forward to seeing more this summer. I’m about to start the west highland way in a couple of weeks and I’ll also be using the Durston x mid 1 , only had it up in the garden so far so looking forward to using it for real.
Thanks very much Bob! 😊 Happy planning for your West Highland Way trip - that should be fun! The X-Mid 1 is fab but the inner is definitely narrow…a fantastic lightweight tent though, I hope it serves you well! Thanks very much for your message, lovely to hear from you!
I thought you might have done your first camera outing with something simpler like Djouce but know, Purple Mountain, a great challenge. We all smiled when you got to the top. One of my most favourate places, biking over the gap. Loved it 😊
Ha! Thanks Greg 🤗 I thought I might have headed to Wicklow for a quiet first camp myself before heading here. I had been hoping to do this trip with the camera for a long time and then I started to feel good right when that weather window opened up so I couldn't refuse!! 🤩 Such a great spot as you well know!!

Fantastic to see you back out & about Miriam. Missed your video's. You're an inspiration to us all. Get well soon & sending healing vibes your way ❤
Thanks very much Kevin!!
So happy for you Miriam. The wheels are turning!
Thank you Jen 🤗 The chain is oiled and the tyres are pumped!!
The Lady is back yippee, good to see you Miriam in fine spirits. The views are spectacular and colours despite the cloud cover on the mountains but it did give it a magical feel.
Aww thank you Paul! Those views from up top were spectacular and along the gap...a feast for my eyes! That magic was definitely palpable 😊
How wonderful to see you back out on your bike. Such wonderful scenery too.

Chuffed to see you back enjoying Ireland’s fabulous mountain landscapes.
Thanks Helen - I was really chuffed to be out again, so nice to feel the freedom of it all! 😎
Brilliant! So lovely to share this trip with you. Ireland is beautiful. Definitely coming to visit one day soon.
Wahoooooo....that's great to hear Heather!

Totally random person in Canada who's enjoyed watching your videos and is very glad to hear that you're doing well and getting out again!

So great to have you back Miriam. Fair play to ya.
Thanks very much Jeffrey 🤗
So glad you have been able to get out and about in Spring weather. Good to see you back on your bike - God be praised!!

Thanks Raimo! A wonderful location to explore and play - really enjoyed it!
