Castin and her family have been friends of my family for many years; I've known her since she was a little girl. Years ago something happened to their family that changed their lives forever. Castin has had so much to deal with in her young life and she's hear to talk about that with me today.

I just want to give you both a big hug! You are both so brave. Castin is so articulate.
Maurice I have to say Castin’s story blew my mind. I could really relate because I ended up in the hospital before having children trying to take my on life. Also I suffer anxiety and had postpartum depression when my daughter was born. What got me through it was the support of family and my faith in God. This is a difficult time for me because my dog Rio who is 16 years old and nick named TT since birth is at the end of life 🥲 He has given me so much joy. I’m trying to stay strong and look at the positive even though it’s hard at times. God bless you and your guests for sharing their incredible experiences. 🇨🇦🇮🇹❤️🙏

If not for God, I wouldn’t be here! I have never understood why some need to apologize for their faith in the almighty. I don’t judge the nonbelievers, I instead pray for them, for without faith what do we have? Brave young woman, sorry for her loss, I was very close to my brother as well. Thank you for this conversation. My mom was ill when I was 11-13. Her death hit me so hard. At the time therapy was not ok. It was a threat not a gift of help. I wonder what my life would have been like if mental health care was like it is today. It blew my mind to hear her say “of course I was depressed…..”. ❤

Thanks for this interview. My son witnessed his 12 year old brothers death when they were walking to the bus stop. Then three months later my 25 year old son was killed in a hit and run. Please keep sharing stories of hope and healing. ❤️🩹
Thank you for sharing Maurice and Castin. I'm just starting my journey in sharing my story of my depression and anxiety. It only took me 52 years and a few serious panic attacks and a couple of deaths in the family and Covid to happen.

You are so right, Maurice. Young people have the weight of the world on their shoulders, literally. So many of the adults have bought into the narrative that money defines you, but, that is furthest from the truth. What defines us is our heart and our moral compass. Do we resist the easy judgement or do we make it a priority to look beneath the surface and ask why ??

Hello everybody. Happy Sunday With Sonny. I was on Cymbalta for anxiety and depression when I went through menopause; but I went off of it, and I shouldn't have. I'm dealing with anxiety again, so my Dr put me back on the Cymbalta. On the subject of bullying, as a person with a disability I was teased a lot in school; but I can't say that I was bullied thankfully.

Thank you for your courage in sharing your story, Castin. I have no doubt it will help others. I’m so sorry you lost your dear brother. Loss is never easy and it leaves its mark. So grateful that you are still working to heal from the trauma of that. Happy to know you have loving people in your life to provide emotional support. It makes all the difference in the world. So grounded 😊 her talk will help a lot of young people. Grief esp from😊 traumatic circumstances is on-going, you never know when/how you can be triggered esp when you've not dealt with the original situation! With it also comes the PTSD (would love a SOM talk on that "Freddie" issue MO) which also has its unexpected triggers 🙄

Hey Maurice can you reach out to me in regards to a person you know out here who’s suicidal n has a bday coming up and wants to end it beforehand. Very concerned n don’t know what to do ❤❤❤🙏
Being the daughter of a woman put in mental institutions several times- i recall the wild horror show of people yelling and crazy horrible noises. It was not fun being the daughter of a woman who was totally a genius and a concert pianist that performed at Carnegie hall - but she had mental problems and i hated it!!! So embarrassing. Fortunately my mother was well for awhile when my oldest kids were young. They loved her! I’m glad because I was always just humiliated. It’s a very complex and interesting thing. I don’t know my mother’s diagnosis.

Sleep Apnea will cause you to wake up in a panic. Do you wear a CPap? Hubs does and made a difference.

Maurice I have a feeling that I’m done. I’ve struggled for 17 years. I have the best husband ever in my world. I want to forget about him but I can’t forget.
