In order to keep our recommendations up to date, we maintain a 'Buyer's Guide' on our Patreon page (with a wide spectrum of models, and a lot of technical and lifestyle-related information). Organizing our recommendations this way makes it easier to include good models that we haven't made review-videos for yet, as well as to remove models which have developed unforeseen wear-issues over time, or which have been weakened by the manufacturer in their current iterations. You can access it here: www.patreon.com/posts/stroller-buyers-37953864 As an independent, consumer-oriented reviewer, we have fewer revenue-streams open to us than the majority of other channels out there, so we do ask for a small donation for access to this guide (as well as a free consultation and access to our other Patreon content). Thanks so much for your help!
Thank you so much, that was exactly the information I have needed to fix the stroller. Because I couldn’t find an obvious problem with that button, this video gave me the invaluable hint needed for the repair.
It is also important to note that the button does not pop out until the frame is clicked on to the stroller. I bought a used Frog and was going nuts why the button was not leveled with the outer frame of the button. Thank you for a great video!
You save my day. I thought something went wrong as I cannot push the white button after put it together. Turn out you have to install it to the frame first
Wow, thanks, I fixed my wife's Cameleon. After been about 5hrs this saturday trying to fix by removing all the parts and re-assamble, found your video and Works.
Great video, really well explained, and thanks for the follow up video on how to reassemble the locking mechanism. A quick question; I’ve filed the button down to the point where it fits beautifully and replaced the mechanism in the frame but the chair is spinning freely (not locking). All the parts seem to be in alignment, so I’m a bit confused. Is there some trick when replacing it? I’ve not over tightened it as you cautioned, but the mechanism is still perpetually depressed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! In any case, thanks again for the video!
The Stroller Workshop / Barnevognverksted - thanks for the quick reply! Yeah sadly it’s attached to the chassis on both sides (per this video - ua-cam.com/video/EH-OutmsL38/v-deo.html). I’m stumped.
Does the Bugaboo Fox suffer from the same issue? Mine isn't fixing in a particular recline position. I can't see how to remove the button from the frame if it is the same issue as with the chameleon.
Well I was not able to get the parts for the chameleon 3.. so I simply used damaged disc predrilled and inset srew from the Ikea using to connect the cabinets together. I cut of the screw and tube with thread and shaved the plastic to make sure that screw head sits flush with the surface the tube hold the screw perfectly in the position and all this take me about 4.5h.Only the lock in aluminum parts has to be predrilled and holes has to be shaved to fit smoothly on the new pin... I would bet on that my upgrade will last longer than poorly designed plastic pins.It works perfectly.
Barnevognverksted Yes, PLEASE! We are going nuts trying to reassemble the white buttons - we actually got a replacement set from bugaboo. The things just wont go into place, two adults with degrees looking at the instructions can't solve this... gah!
Barnevognverksted I looked for it, but I couldn't find it. We (or my wife) actually managed to figure it out by checking another working frame, and comparing. It seems that they put the stickers ("R"ight and "L"eft) wrong, which made us very confused reading the little instruction. Gotta say, your videos are the best resource on bugaboo I've seen. We need to fix the brake next, and I will be checking your videos to do it. Thanks for your efforts, really appreciate it.
The follow up video is called How to disassemble and Realign / Repair the Central Mechanism of a Bugaboo Frame Took me sometime to find it, hope this helps.😁
Hi! In the seated position my baby is too upright, almost like she's gonna fall over! No other problems with the seat or stroller in general.. any ideas on how to fix this?
Hi, I'm trying to fix this issue and after sanding the white part and trying to put it all back together for hours I just can't get the 3 black parts to all sit neatly together in the casing to get the screw in, it's like it just can't line up again, any advice welcome
Did you ever find a fix for putting all parts back together so the buttons works? Having a hard time getting the screw to completely hold the parts together so it functions again. Thanks!
That is a strange problem, haven't had it before. The release mechanism is quite easy to open though, it consists of two parts that wrap around the frame foot on each side, and the only additional internal part is a spring. I would recommend disassembling the mechanism on the affected side, checking for damage (especially on the inner side of the innermost half), lubricating the mechanism with a silicon spray and reassembling it. You can also check for damage on the connection struts of the chassis itself and, if your stroller is a cameleon 1 or 2 (not 3), also lubricate the moving elements of the connection struts until they function smoothly. Hope this helps :)

It should only lock into varying positions when attached to the chassis, is it locking down correctly onto the chassis on both sides?
