I'm right handed and wish the charger hole is in the left side. The right side would just be all board and no holes. Their should also be an option for left handed people to rotate the board
Looks pretty nice. The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t have a cutout for the lens like the Sketchboard Pro. However, a case would solve that problem and protect the lens. And speaking of lens; As far as fitting an iPad with a case, you can use a dremel to sand off a bit of the inner border. Same applies fitting the charger. I do dig it. But I don’t want to take off the Zugu case.
I'm new to procreate and am doing a lot of practising and was considering getting a regular metal stand. My situation is kinda weird cause I don't like drawing at a desk, I tend to draw laying down in bed 😂😂😂 I was getting really annoyed cause I couldn't get the angle of the ipad right and I kept accidentally hitting the power button as I was moving the ipad around. I found this item on Amazon and saw your review so I searched for you. I really appreciated this thoughtful and thorough review. It looks like the angle of the board adjusts nice and low which is what I need since drawing on your stomach you kinda have little dinosaur hands so can't really work tilted at an extreme upright angle. I would suggest maybe next time doing a voice over if at all possible because it was hard to pay attention to the footage you took while also trying to read the captions. But Thanks for the effort in showing us this product!
I’ve been looking at this for so long because i’m a fashion illustrator and draw the whole day on my iPad but- can you turn it 90 degrees to draw portrait mode on it?? Or is it just stuck on landscape mode? Thanks a lot!

The keyboard didn't really work with my workflow since I am accustomed to Procreate's hand gestures already so I have not tried using it together.

Hey, I really enjoyed the review :) I have a question! Do you think the feet of the stand could be unscrewed and flipped vertically by any chance so I could have the pad itself rotated by 180 degrees? I’m left handed and I think it would be more practical if I didn’t have the Apple Pencil cutout under my hand while drawing. Thank you!
Thanks for the feedback and I’m glad you enjoyed it! I recall there being some hex shaped screws on the bottom so I didn’t have anything on hand at the time to try taking them off. I would assume it is possible.
Thank you for this helpful video. I have ordered one for my 11” ipad. (It will take a while to arrive here in the uk though). Did you end using the back of the magnetic case option much in the end, or just use the board as it is (plus foam - handy tip!)?
I ended up just using the thin foam strips, the case made it a little too annoying to take out all the time.
Thank you for the review. Personally I feel the "other similar option" in the details would be a better fit since ot allowed ipads with cases. Maybe you coud review it as well. Also it would be great if these stands could allow both landscape and portrait mode like the sketchboard pro.
Additionally, do you feel that your ipad heats up when using for long hours?
I actually have that walnut one with me right now. Haven't put together the review yet. Depending on the case you use, it doesn't sit flush with the board. I still prefer the bamboo board.
My brightness is usually only around 25% and my canvas is 2000px so no. If I crank it up then it does get warmer.

Also in terms of case I was thinking of the mous case. Do you think that the current bamboo case (the one you review) could fit an ipad with a case like the mous case.

thank you! the distance between the legs is 12 inches(30cm) from each other. You would need a table at least 16 inches (40cm) wide to hold the stand.
Bought one because of your review. However, I do not like the cutting board look lol. Going to give it a light sand then paint it black. Also Dremmel 1 inch for the volume and half inch for the Power button, of material to get better access to it. Once painted and dry I'll add some bumpers on the bottom to align the power cord.
sounds like a fun project! wouldn't 1in for the power button cut into the pencil slot on the left? hope it all comes together nicely, best of luck!
@@JimmyLamStudio I should be more specific haha. 1 in. Length and about 1/4 in wide. Just enough to put my fingers in. Think of it like those plastic folder tabs with labels.

doesn't seem necessary. I don't really see this thing actually breaking under normal use.

I did see one of these for my iPad 12.9inch but I ended up going for the sketchboard pro because it has the camera cutout and I don’t have to take off my lens cover and also I could do a payment plan every month as with this one I just didn’t have $50 to kick out at once. I also don’t care to have a lot of adjustment with the legs which is one of the bigger selling points for this one. This is a good alternative option though for some people.
