I've been using the Parblo one for years with my Ipad (and also great with a small 13'' Cintiq), it's indestructible, doesn't budge and I also use it when I wanna paint traditionally, just tape a sheet of paper and voilà, a sort of a desk easel lol
Adam, my iPad 12.9 Pro m1 has at least 5 or more magnetized spots on back. I slapped it on fridge door. Scary strong hold. Meaning, -- I am planning a diy with a vesa, lazy Susan and hinge. Can’t help that I love to tinker!
A bit unrelated to stands but I would like to share my iPad accessory horder story xD. I have tried most of Art accessories and stands for my iPad Pro 12.9 and concluded that for me the best way to use my iPad is as it comes out of the box with no screen protector (screen protectors have more glare than iPad's screen glass and add bloom to whites while paperlike protectors ruin the image quality and can add line wiggle which downgrades an amazing screen) or heavy case ( while protective add bulk to the iPad that actually makes me more likely to drop it) and just use the iPad over my leg or backpack. Having a lot of iPad accessories takes away from the main point of the tablet which is taking your drawing display anywhere, the more addons you add the more you have to carry around or potentially lose. For people who are on a budget and got an iPad as their only stationary/portable digital art device I would recommend Zugu iPad Case that is rather expensive but it's very adjustable, protective and well built.
The Magic Keyboard case snaps on and off with magnets pretty easily. Could be a good combo for pulling the iPad off it to draw on naked, while keeping screen protected while transporting it, and keeping the screen fingerprint free because you have the keyboard and trackpad.
Just wanted to say thank you Adam for your vids. Very helpful. It seems none of those options were what I was looking for. But I can't thank you enough for posting what your perspective as an artist and what you would like in a stand with taking the small nuances into consideration
Hello Adam I have to ask, because I've seen a lot of people mentioning that the Parblo stand can bend the iPad, as the buttom is rounded and make the ipad have space under it, so over long periods (I hear people noticing it after 6 months of normal use) starts to bend a little. So, have you thought about this?
watched through the entire thing before I knew it. Probably the best recommendation video on ipad stands available rn and I'm definitely gonna buy one of your favourites soon!
Hey man just letting you know I enjoying watching your videos and the lengthy ones make me the happiest. I appreciate the attention and research that goes into these information oriented videos
Maybe a dumb question but ergonomically for artistic purposes is it best to work with the iPad in the desktop position (pivoted directly off of the desk)? (as opposed to being elevated)
My favorite so far is the Huion ST200 that came with my old Kamvas Pro. It's basically the Parblo stand shown here in terms of price and what it's trying to be, but more compact. It folds down into a flat slab the size of my 12.9" iPad Pro, making it extremely bag-friendly. (I also find the flat bottom nicer to place on my lap when bedbound as well.) Only downside is that it doesn't go higher than 45°. Fine for me, but maybe not for some.
I use a drawing desk that tilts with a rubber mat so my iPad Pro doesn’t slide down in my home studio. I would definitely consider the Parblo stand for working remote
I was just thinking about how I need an ipad stand, why do you know whenever I need something. I needed to learn about color and light and you recommended light ponderings, super glad I found you adam
They are beautiful and good supports but ergonomically speaking, I needed more support for my arm when I draw. A few months ago, I found the sketchboard pro online. Aesthetically speaking, it's not the prettiest but, my shoulder thanks me for buying it!
Agree, I've also got the sketchboard pro, with this you can rest your hands on the board, leaving every square inch of the 12.9 inch ipad screen available for your artwork. Even splitting the screen for a web browser to the left and clip studio to right is possible.
I looooove my Sketchboard Pro! A true game changer for me as I’ve been using the iPad as one my primary sketching tools since the first iPad iteration.
I use sketchboard Pro, I love that you have way more real estate when you draw, but I wish it had a height adjustment, then it would be the perfect stand, because the original height is too low for me. BUT, when I put some boxes and raise the angle it's good.
Thank you for your wonderful sharing of the working methods of the iPad and Monitor. I am very curious as I usually use the horizontal screen for handwriting. I would like to ask if there is a use situation of using the straight screen. Btw, How do you use universal controls?
Not related to the video but a thought just popped up and I thought I might ask if you see this comment is that, do you think you'd do vids on talking about the stories of mythological creatures that you are interested in. Last time I heard a vid you did and really liked it
For real, great review! I wonder if you have heard of the Max Smart hand grip, seemed interesting as an actual grip that tablets in general can get and might be good for some artists that like to draw outside or just for better ergonomics than a flat case (aside from desk stands). Again, great review Adam! :P
Thank you so much for actually showing and using the Benks Stand! I’ve seen quite a lot of reviews on YT, all sponsored, and no one bothered to use the stand and demonstrate it actually rotates when touching or drawing on the iPad. I got myself the Infinity Stand (which doesn’t rotate) and it’s soooo stiff that I was considering sending it back to get the Infinity Pro. But now I won’t. The regular Infinity is quite a hassle to adjust sometimes but at least it’s very sturdy and it won’t move, no matter how hard I press my finger or Pencil on the iPad. I wish all UA-camrs were honest like you.
I bought 2 Parblos and it they work great. The only issue was the second one I bought had some quality issue, so when I press on the ipad, the stand would creek like an old door at the base. It was very weird since my first stand did not do that. Just something to watch out for.
That was very interesting! sorry this is a little random, and off video topic, but, by any chance do you have any recommendations for a good sturdy laptop stand? I’ve got an Alienware 17 R4 laptop, and I’m just looking for a sturdy stand to support its size and weight so I can raise it up off the desk, in turn finally allowing me to fit my mouse pad and keyboard next to it, on my desk… Anyways I was just curious whilst watching your in-depth review on tablet stands and thought I would ask…
He's using the Apple Studio Displays, which he has reviewed as well. He's also reviewed the BenQ PD3220U, I can recommend that and a few other options from BenQ for something more affordable than the Apple Studio Displays.
I do a lot of BenQ reviews for artists and gamers and I’ve reviewed my dual Studio Displays as well I’m releasing a review for a behemoth gaming monitor soon - just waiting for the green light
Oh really! Didn’t realize that My full logo was a collab with a gifted designer (I have a vid about it on my channel), this sting is the middle part DP
You probably are responding to all the AI comments rn but how do you think the draft table elevation labs stand compares to the bunch? Since you did a review on that one a few years ago. Seems to be similar to the Pablo one!
Using small wooden easel stand from a local art store, amazing adjustablilty and it was like 5 bucks.
Nice!
I used to do that I didn’t find it very comfortable but it is an option

Picked up the parblo and it’s pretty much perfect for drawing
I have two of these Parblo stands. Best stand I’ve ever had for a drawing tablet. Love em
Nice video! Couldn't help noticing... Dead cells? Great taste as always!
Yes indeed, I love that game :)
watched through the entire thing before I knew it. Probably the best recommendation video on ipad stands available rn and I'm definitely gonna buy one of your favourites soon!
Thank you for the visual rotation issues and comments on the Benks stand -
Such a great review, thanks!
Hey man just letting you know I enjoying watching your videos and the lengthy ones make me the happiest. I appreciate the attention and research that goes into these information oriented videos
This is perfect, I’ve been looking at a lot of stuff like stands after getting my 11” iPad Pro last minth
It's almost like you knew I was getting an iPad for graduation.
How do you and Marc always know exactly what I need?
I did, I’m watching you right now through your window actually - nice shoes btw
Thanks Adam, something I didn't know I wanted now I've bought it xD

this was really helpful. been trying to find some comparisons from an artist. Thanks for the video and demonstrations!

Well I’m very happy to partake in your psychic vibes my friend :)

I’m looking into that too - I like that idea (if you have the desk space that is)
I trust your opinion more than others facts
Hello, what video equipment and lenses do you need? The up close b roll looks awesome!
I use sketchboard Pro, I love that you have way more real estate when you draw, but I wish it had a height adjustment, then it would be the perfect stand, because the original height is too low for me. BUT, when I put some boxes and raise the angle it's good.
I wonder what Kensington dock power brick output into its base?
I have the parblo and i love it, i just add some thick books if I want more height.
Thank you for your wonderful sharing of the working methods of the iPad and Monitor. I am very curious as I usually use the horizontal screen for handwriting. I would like to ask if there is a use situation of using the straight screen. Btw, How do you use universal controls?
29:17 “Dirt cheap and built like a tank” dyawd dayum!!!
Can the magnetic ones used with a case on the ipad? I don’t want to risk hitting it and have my iPads screen in a hundred pieces 🙂
Not related to the video but a thought just popped up and I thought I might ask if you see this comment is that, do you think you'd do vids on talking about the stories of mythological creatures that you are interested in. Last time I heard a vid you did and really liked it
Does any of the stands with magnets interfere with the drawing experience?
None of them do
@@AdamDuffArt the back of my iPad Pro m1 sticks to my fridge door. Like cemented! There are over 5 magnetized spots on back.

So i cannot buy the studiosock for an M2 ipad pro 12” what can buy then as a digital artist?!!
I like to have my arms off the table

I do like the qwizzlabs dock.but, the Kensington better.
That was very interesting!

Sure, Grovemade has a fantastic one (both for open or clamshell), otherwise there are tons of options on Amazon
No magnetic arm?
Hi man, sorry to bother you, have you reviewed monitors or you have any videos related?

okay I just looked at your channel logo. do you play magic cause that is SO similar to the Phyrexian symbol
Oh really! Didn’t realize that
My full logo was a collab with a gifted designer (I have a vid about it on my channel), this sting is the middle part DP
@Adam Duff LUCIDPIXUL probably a coincidence lol
"In my particular case however, I do like to draw elevated..."
*proceeds to light up a weed* xd
“…as far as I’m concerned” 😅 great reviews tho!
You probably are responding to all the AI comments rn but how do you think the draft table elevation labs stand compares to the bunch? Since you did a review on that one a few years ago. Seems to be similar to the Pablo one!
As a general tip: avoid stands with a central arm. Especially with big ipads, it will keep wiggling and make drawing sessions so annoying.
I want elevates AND portability… -.- so im doomed?
"If you got big enough pockets" *cries in womenhood*
