Using Trex for ETH (of course Ravencoin was even higher), I had to lower my power (using MSI app) to 59% to get 188W so I could get a temp of 41/92C (and down to a horrible 74Mh/s). What a great Video, this gave me so many ideas now! Thank you very much! Hope you can give us some more new cool videos like this one. Super useful information
Great video - you have been a great help with my new mining learning! Quick question for you - I thought you had to power a 3080 with two separate PCIe cables from the PSU due to power draw? Is that not the case? I want to do something similar with a 3070 and I was curious if I could use a splitter off a single PCI cable to power the riser and both 8 pin ports on my 3070 (3 total)?
Thank you!! Yes youl be all set doing one cable only. 3070 takes only 130 while mining the 3080 takes 220-240. Cables can give up to 288 so your set! As for your last point, if you have 3 pins total to cover and 2 on your pcie cable, 3 with splitter then your good. Just like I did in the video
I had the same question based on your previous power supply videos, TDP for 3080 is 320 and that single cable is powering the riser which could hit ~70 as you mentioned, and power both 6+2 via splitter, it seems unsafe if you OCs reset on windows which I assume most of your viewers are on, I think you should add that as a disclaimer I’m on your channel religiously. How do I safeguard on windows?
Thanks for this great video ;) I just purchased a 1200 watt power supply (mastercooler) V1200 and I was wondering if one power supply will be enough to run 6 GPU 3060TI (mix of GPU 3x oc (TUF, Trio, Ventus) Thanks in advance
Hi mate, very good video. But one thing I am confused. The RTX3080 stock setting consumes around 370w. You have 6 of them and only use two 1200w PSUs which will consume around 2300w at stock setting. Do not you think it is a bit too much since it is over 80% strategy. You said two 1000W PSUs could also work. Yes, it will work after overclocking but what if the rig crashed, everything would go back to stock setting? Hope to hear from you soon, cheers mate. Hi mate, please need a bit help for this question, thank you very much
Great video! Getting my rig soon with the same setup but built in with LCD screen, 7 fans and custom on / off switch. i think if you would have added fans at the back of your cards on the frame it would have increased your hash rate, these machines are thristy for cool air all the time! On the other hand will mining be useless on ETH 2.0 ??
I think these cards should be spaced apart further or have less of them (5 instead of 6) to reduce heat transfer from card to card, that would help drastically reduce temps and improve longevity of the gpu's also. My Opinion is all
Hi, Try this just for a day if you have the time and wanna see if it's better. Place the GPU longitudinal, in line, 1 after the other. 3 on top and 3 below those. And place 3 fans with 22cm diameter in a way that each fan blows cool air perpendicular on the GPU's cooling fans and 1 big fan cover the one on top and the one below it (can send you a picture but don't know how). This way the intake of the GPU's will always draw cold air and the warm air from the radiators will be blown away by the big fans. The inline placement of the GPU's works to save up space but it is not the best way to cool these 3000 cards because just the first card will be drawing cool air, the rest will have the warm air from the card in front. Also, any 90-degree angles will decrease the streamline of the air for both intake and exhaust. This last bit is in regard to the small fans you guys use trying to evacuate the warm air from the side using those small fans. They disrupt the intake air for the GPU's and that's a minus. Hope this helps.

Can one RTX 3080- like the ones used in the video - be used on an old motherboard like ASUS P6T Deluxe v2 that has Pcie v.2.0 slots? Holy crap.. I thought your name looked familiar, used to watch your cod videos back in the day. Didn't expect to find you here!
How do I safeguard on windows?
that time lapse was dope
So this is where one of the 3080 that could be mine for gaming goes. 🙂
He's too busy using graphics cards to skim by on life without working.
@@alpacaodoom Don't hate the player, hate the game.
Good video. Really liked the timelapse
Glad you enjoyed it!
It's a incredible deal for 3080
Thanks for this great video ;) I just purchased a 1200 watt power supply (mastercooler) V1200 and I was wondering if one power supply will be enough to run 6 GPU 3060TI (mix of GPU 3x oc (TUF, Trio, Ventus) Thanks in advance
Yes, that will be enough. Thank you!
Best video explaining what EIP 1559 means for the noob small scale miner like me! Thanks man!
Pleasure! Thank you!
It didn’t do anything apparently
Plugging this into the wall. How do you manage that? Do you have 2 phase power?
Nice.
I see 90mh/s is normal for a 3080 stock thermal pads.
Interesting, good to know!
For this setup, is it functional to use the INTEL PENTIUM GOLD G5420 SOC1151 (8VA)?
Hi mate, very good video. But one thing I am confused. The RTX3080 stock setting consumes around 370w. You have 6 of them and only use two 1200w PSUs which will consume around 2300w at stock setting. Do not you think it is a bit too much since it is over 80% strategy. You said two 1000W PSUs could also work. Yes, it will work after overclocking but what if the rig crashed, everything would go back to stock setting? Hope to hear from you soon, cheers mate. Hi mate, please need a bit help for this question, thank you very much
president send me 3 of them i can't find a video card 😔
Uh you have the Biostar board for $50? It's over 300-400 in Amazon
That Broll
Thank youuu!! Learning from the best ;)
@@MiningChamber Ah bro you are far ahead now :) well deserved!
I can't even hit one 3080 with one of the better amazon bots out there. 😂😂 Lots of 3090 and 3070s though.
GeForce rtx 3090 available at cheaper price
What bot you got?
3090s at msrp?
bro where can i find those cables that connect to the power supply and then the splitter. been looking everywhere cant find em
Why mining ETH and not mining BTC or Cardano ?
I think the return cannot be estimated, because the price of ethereum goes up and down and the reward for mining results keeps dropping
i cant even find one T.T, after fighting covid all day at hospital, 4K gaming is all I need to relieve myself from the stress
Good video. All the basics. TY
I think these cards should be spaced apart further or have less of them (5 instead of 6) to reduce heat transfer from card to card, that would help drastically reduce temps and improve longevity of the gpu's also. My Opinion is all
it should be 2x8-pin female, 1x8-pin male for splitters that connect PSU to GPU
wow, nice, want to buy this vga too 😍
Hi,
Try this just for a day if you have the time and wanna see if it's better.
Ok so that’s where all the 3080’s went. Mk
that's only 6 of them :P
@@MiningChamber that's like 25% of all production LMAO
It's very helpful... Thank you 💞

Hi, very interesting video. Is that a good idea to use a 1000w and 750w together for 10 1660 supers? The two power supplies are EVGA gold 1000w and 750w. Or it is only recommended to use both PSU with same wattage? Thank you very much.
Yes that's completely fine!
Can you make a video of you selling all them gpus ? Ty

This is why nobody can get one
Nice video and time lapse of the build.
I liked the build and overall structure of the video :) Very entertaining. The time lapse should stay.
However, the merch "Gamers hate us" is a bit too much "edgy annoying for the sake of it" (at least for me personally).
Thank you! And I really appreciate the feedback ❤️ next time I'll do a poll and ask you guys to choose a design ⛏️
Can one RTX 3080- like the ones used in the video - be used on an old motherboard like ASUS P6T Deluxe v2 that has Pcie v.2.0 slots? The main Pcie v2.0 slot runs at 16X speeds so it is theoreticaly the same speed as a Pcie v.3.0 at 8X. Will the v2.0 pcie slot affect the mining hashrate of the RTX 3080 on a windows installation?
Impossible to get gpu’s.
absolutely. Any tips on where to find GPU's ?

Hey man one thing, which is the use of the SATA? Is for install HiveOS? Because I use a USB 3.0 for HiveOS but I dont know if this is the use. Sorry for my noob question haha
