  • dk2trailers.com | The newest member of the DK2 trailer line up - the Hot Dipped Galvanized 5 x 7 Utility Trailer. The MMT5X7G is fully welded and hot dipped Galvanized to protect the steel from the elements especially in coastal regions.
    STEPS:
    1. Place springs and each half of the tongue in place on the frame and tighten
    2. Insert safety pins on each side to secure tongue
    3. Install the coupler
    4. Make sure the front bolt passes through the middle link of the safety chain as it is inserted through the tongue
    5. Plug in main wiring connection running along center of trailer
    6. Tuck wires up using the holders
    7. Install the axle to the springs using the 4 U bolts fastened to the spring plate
    8. Make sure all 4 nuts are tightened equally to clamp with the same amount of force
Bearings come pre greased but we recommend you add more grease using a grease gun before use
    10. Remove each wheel nut and secure the tire to the axle
Make sure each nut has the tapered end facing inwards to the rim
Tires will have to be re tightened before road use
    13. Flip the trailer over ** This will require more that one person as the trailer is very heavy at this point
    14. Install the fenders using the two nuts and bolts
    15. Install the side panels using the nuts and bolts provided
    16. Install the marker lights after placing the pre wired quick connection through the hole
    17. Remove the tail lights from each of their holders
    18. Install the holders to each side of the trailer
    19. After holders are installed fasten each light to the holders using the pre inserted hardware
    20. License plate holder goes on the driver side
    21. Connect the wiring for the lights
    22. Install front and back gates using 2 safety pins up top and the nuts and bolts provided for bottom
Do not over tighten bolts as it can restrict movement of the gate
This unit offers the end user excellent value for their money and will dramatically add to the life of the trailer kit. When the front and back loadbearing gates are down, the trailer bed extends to nearly 3.5m (11.58 ft.).
Another great feature is the tilt/dump capability that makes it easy to load or unload heavy items. Fabricated from 100% steel, all of the components are reinforced, adjustable, removable and / or interchangeable.

This is one of my fave utility trailers ever.

Great video. This was a lifesaver compared to the horrible instructions. But it seems that these trailers have manufacturing problems. For example, the coupler only had 1 predrilled opening while the opposite side had 2. The wire harness was backwards as well. The pins the keep the gates up are cheap and the wire holding it together already broke.

100% same experience and worse. What a nightmare of company

@@RogerKleiner-y8r just keep at it and rig it up to be road safe. Once that's said and done, beast of a trailer. I haul everything with it, wood, my pressure washing and landscape gear, junk removal. I'm actually going to enlarge the sides and front so I can haul more lighter junk.

Is this suitable to tie down a motorcycle? Dry weight is 500 lbs. I love the overall utlity of the trailer, I'm just concerned about flexing. Thanks.

This should be updated to show the L bracket mount for the fenders. I came here to see if the long bracket is fore or aft.

This company must not care about it's customers. Assembly could have been cut in half (or more) if the damn instructions were updated for the current generation of this trailer's design.

Obviously too late for the person that asked the question, but the video of the black trailer assembly shows this. Pretty sure the long leg is on the front of the trailer.

A little too fast to follow. Could of been a little slower and more descriptive. I just finished putting it together. Beautiful trailer though. Thank you.

I got one of this. Never buy them. This is poor quality, super noisy Chinese product. DK 2 warranty doesn't work. My trailer had bent platform from the factory. And DK didn't want to replace it

THIS VIDEO IS OUT OF DATE AND HORRIBLE AS AN INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO.

This trailer is missing many parts, the instructions are piss poor and don't match this video (which is for an older gen of these trailers and don't match the parts that come with the current gen)
I would NEVER buy another product from this company
