1st rifle, springer, 1974, BSA Mercury, great days, over the fields the back of my house, miles of woodland and farmland.. No sitting in a bedroom for 10 hours a day playing on the computer back then...

Nice vid again guys. Everything affects a springer; temperature humidity, cold barrel when you start so you need a few shots, how you hold them, barrel cleaning. Sometimes feels like even the day of the week. But that’s then fun of them and they’re not living with the gunsmith half their lives as a bonus. Fond ones, Baz.

A great (and cheap) way to get into the sport, especially for juniors

Bought my first rifle second-hand from a schoolmate in 1973. A Webley .177" break-barrel, about 6 ft-lb and really accurate. Recoil never an issue as my other shooting experience at the time was firearms in the RAF cadets. Happy days. 😀

I'm now 60 and have been shooting since I was 15,and found that the zeroing of a rifle/pellet testing is a great way of getting to know your gun. Great review.

Yeh but to easy is what you want when dispatching pests, so they definitely have their place. But you are definitely right

My first rifle back into sport was a gamo whisper sting. Its a lovely rifle, accurate, easy to cock and light which helped me as I'm disabled. I would put a scope on it,if your a newcomer to shooting.you dont have to spend a fortune on one, and it will give you great enjoyment and fun, plus accuracy for plinking and hitting targets. As for pellets I did a bit of testing and my one loves bsa interceptors. Hope this helps.😊

Take the trigger adjustment screw out and replace with a longer 2.5mm screw and improve the trigger no end! Do the same to the gamo boxer and go from a single stage trigger to a fairly nice 2 stage job… just don’t over do it and make them dangerous!

Fair play. I was laughing my head off when you were shooting the target. Welcome to the real world of springers, 😅😂
    Well do guys 😢

Wrong pellet methinks. My Gamos, whilst a bit picky, all shoot really well.

The 766 paired up.with a little 4x20 scope was the 1st rifle i bought around 1977 followed by the hw35. Hardly missed a target with the crosman. Didnt realise at the time i was such a good shot due to it being recoiless
