  • Curd and Yogurt are defined as the substances that are formed when the milk becomes sour. They both are dairy products. Lactobacillus bacteria is added to milk so that the fermentation can take place.
To prepare the curd at home, the milk is to be heated at a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius, and then a small amount of curd is added to the heated milk and is left overnight to grow. This process is known as fermentation.
Yogurt is prepared through a process called the cuddling technique. In this method, a good bacterium is added to lactose in order to make its lactic acid. The fermented milk thickens, and the yogurt is prepared out of it.
Both curd and yogurt are more or less the same things.
