    This is amazing, thank you for this. I'm returning to Veterinary Nursing after a few years away and this has been a great reminder.

    Took like a year and a half off from being a nurse to pursue tattooing and got my license in that……but now I want to tattoo part time and go back to nursing and I’m rusty, so THANK YOU for the info. I’m remembering everything i learned. I would have looked really dumb if I went into an interview before going over all of this again lol.

    As a vet assistant in undergrad, I am loving your content! I am trying to figure out next steps career-wise. Is there any way you could do a pros/cons style video? Working in the field has my mental health and bank account severing struggling, especially as an undergrad. It leads to serious doubts about vet med long term. Considering the vet tech and veterinarian career paths currently because I know where my passion lies. The future just seems bleak at times…

      Yeah absolutely! It's definitely a hard field to maintain a work-life balance in, and obviously mental health is a well known battle with chronic compassion fatigue and high levels of burn out. When I was starting I definitely struggled to make ends meet, but now with my certifications and experience I do feel I make a decent wage, although that has obviously come with a lot of hard work and sacrifice on my end.

    How much to vet techs get paid? And how many years of school?

    • @jenniferlyonsvts
      @jenniferlyonsvts  Місяць тому

      Schooling is usually 2 years, and pay ranges from mid-teens without experience up in the 30’s with high specialty.

    How do you feel the accuracy of the new covid forehead thermometers work for pets

    • @jenniferlyonsvts
      @jenniferlyonsvts  Рік тому +2

      In general the forehead thermometers have been shown to not work accurately in animals.
