- In this episode of MTP, Dr. Perito answers a question from a doctor about the appearance of tubing following penile implant placement.
Well-trained expert implanters will do everything within their ability to conceal tubing in their patients. That being the case, the two main approaches to penile implants are infrapubic and penoscrotal; depending on which approach, the tubes will either appear above or below the penis.

I had the Coloplast Titan put in on June 6 and it was done by infrapubic incision. I could not be happier. There is a learning curve that comes with using it and there has been a fair amount of post op pain but I would do this again in a heart beat. I have been cycling it as much as I am able and everything has been perfect. Yes I did lose a little length but I also suffered ED for over 20 years. I am not worried a bit about the length because even when only half pumped my erection is rock hard and depending on the wishes of my partner, I can inflate it to the size that she desires I wish I had this surgery done years ago. Also, the girth of my erection is as large as it ever was and that is what is most important to me. Thank you Dr. Perito for all the information you have provided which helped me make the decision to go ahead and have the surgery.
Don't you have to wait 6 weeks to use it? Also, it you don't mind my asking what was your length at your peak and what is it now? thx.
@@braddockakalatis2 I have not used it yet, but based on how I have been cycling it I can determine that I can go various sizes for my partner. Even half inflated I am still rock hard. My 6 weeks is up next Tuesday. As for length, I never really measured but I would say I may have lost 1/4 inch or less. However in my youth I was quite large and I am good with the size I am now. For a 71 year old man who now has a rock hard erection any length would be satisfactory.

A bit over 7 months in and having the time of my life. Would I want longer? What guy wouldn’t. All I know is cycling and pump…girth continues to grow. If all I end up with the current L and G, I really couldn’t complain. My tubing not an issue whatsoever. Thanks again Dr Perito.
I'm afraid of the tubes and pump. I've been on the fence since 2020 and have lost probably an inch of girth and maybe half an inch of length, but I can't pull the irreversible trigger. I'm afraid to date again, but thinking about seeing if any older women are open to oral relations like a lesbian couple, but it's so sad..

I was planning on getting an implant next year for my 50th birthday present. Consultations with Dr. Laurence Levine and doppler showed significant venous leak. Lately I've been considering skipping all the tubing and pump and getting a Tactra, but reading comments by Dr Eid about pressure erosion makes me think that's a bad idea

If you're experiencing ED, don't wait. Time lost is girth and size lost, and the rate of complications is significantly lower if you see a dedicated implanter.

I had a titan coloplast put in june 13th, 6 weeks later the penis is still sore and swelling still in the scrotum,
The left cylinder is lower than the right and causing pain.
Next week i get a cscan to see what was done incorrectly.
I picked poorly for my doctor, he doesn't have the knowledge you present on your channel.
If i need a revision surgery do you have any one you recommend in or near portland oregon?
Id love to go to your clininc but just to far away and time consuming.

Is it possible to implant a cuff at the same time as the 3 part device?
Or , does the inflatable implant typically help with urinary leakage, especially during intercorse .
I'd suggest peeing right before sex. Empty out or you may, upon orgasm, you may pee all over the place.
The implant alone usually helps. At Perito Urology, we don't encourage a dual procedure.
Doctor i had an implant fitted it Nov last year. Its ok but on the right side of the base it pretudes a bit like a golf ball and when its deflated its all scrunched at the base in the same spot. What could this be? TIA
