So, based on the name, LeafStar is Hella dead next series & we're getting a new Skyclan protagonist. Maybe something similar to what happens to Riverclan?
except there is not a giant leader crisis, just a normal leader dying crisis (except its rebuilt skyclans first leader, i expect what happens in shadowstars life, kinda)
I share your 1st and 3rd ideas, its most likely either Leafstar dying and SkyClan dealing with having a different leader for the first time since Clan was rebuilt (which I think would impact them greatly; remember, in Shadowstar's Life, StarClan was worried if a Clan would survive the loss of their first leader, this would be similar to that) or StarClan. To be honest the second option seems a tad boring for me, as afterlife usually doesn't have as many exciting elements that living Clans have, plus 7th arc was WAY too supernatural, I need 2 more down to earth arcs. But I digress. I'm sure I will enjoy it (provided some of my deceased favorites have some spotlight, like Oakheart, Mudfur, Bluestar, Leopardstar, Sandstorm or Cinderpelt!) I've also been thinking that the "old friend whose adventures we've been following since the first arc" could mean that this would take place in the past, before the first arc but after Bluestar became the deputy, as that whole timeframe is unknown (and given all the strange and sometimes unknown parentage, I call this time as "ThunderClan's massive bender" ;p), and the cat they mean could be maybe Whitestorm, or heck, Tigerclaw, that would be interesting^^ And it's about 2 years between Bluestar becomes deputy and first arc starts, so plenty of time for a whole arc; the past 2 arcs take place during a SINGLE year! But for the life of me I can't figure out how the title of the arc, "Changing Skies", would fit into that. So its probably not it. Also, an interview with artists and writers of the upcoming graphic novel came out on the official website^^ Also also, Cherith Baldry will be in Poland in June^^ Already got 14 of the older books signed by Victoria Holmes, now I can start getting newer books signed^^ Thinking about either Thunder or Wind, alternatively Crowfeather's Trial (Cherith wrote those, right? Says so on Warriors Wiki)

Not sure an exact timeframe, but I definitely intend to bring them back since they’re some of the more fun content to make and I know they’re the videos that viewers overall enjoy most. Part of it’s a writing block, part of it is debating changes (not sure if I want to rename the series for one, since considering we often see cats longer dead than alive, “life of” isn’t always accurate), and part of it is just technical stuff (like fully building/tagging a collection of official images on my computer so I can just search by character, language, artist, etc instead of manually looking through my folders or relying on the internet, which will make the process much easier.) When I do get back to them, current plan is for the first three to be Firestar (original protagonist), Tigerstar (original villain), and Cinderpelt (first-ever request I got). 🙂
