i know moonpaw is probably going to be a medicine apprentice, but i really think it would be cool if she were a normal apprentice. all of the prophecy’s usually go to leader and medicine cats.
Super excited about the new acr^^ But also I am excited about the new release schedule; not only this book comes out in January instead of April, but the 2nd volume of the graphic novel comes out in April instead of June/July. I wonder what this change means; maybe we'll be getting novels again? There are so many cats who deserve to have at least some short story, off the top my head Oakheart; even if everything about him was said in Bluestar's and Crookedstar's books (and a little in Leopardstar's), I would like to see him interacting with Stonekit and Mistykit, could be "Oakheart's Parenthood"^^. I wonder if Leafstar is losing sight simply due to age and some illness or does she get wounded in Star? I suspect she will be supporting Splashtail, as she won't believe ShadowClan's claims (would play well with SkyClan losing faith in her leadership if she made such a blunder), and maybe he would turn on her at some point (like after she would learn the truth)? Anyway, I hope we see her interacting with Jayfeather in some way^^ Tigerstar not listening to anybody besides his ego, what a surprise! Ugh, I really hoped he will get deposed in Star, with ShadowClan blaming him for Leafstar not believing about Splashtail and making situation even worse. That cat should never be a leader! Anyway, can't blame you for expecting ThunderClan's elder to be the character the authors were talking about, as the only cats from first arc still alive that aren't ThunderClan's elders are Tawnypelt, Oakfur, and Mosspelt xD Also the authors called that character "he", sooo they cheated ;p I am excited about it, as much has I HATE the fact that Tigerstar's family is still in the spotlight (4th arc in a row! I had enough of them in A Vision of Shadows already! I better see some development for Ivypool's family!), she is my favorite of that whole family, and my favorite ShadowClan cat.. though it would be more accurate to say she is one of the very few ShadowClan cats I LIKE, all the rest I would run over with a steamroller with an honest to StarClan smile on my face ;p Plus she had the least spotlight in The New Prophecy, which is unfair considering she was the only one that stayed focused 100% on the mission, all the others began at some point treating it like it was spring break xD (because of all the romances and trip to the beach and mountain resort ;p). That being said I am still hoping for Rowanstar's Super Edition to show us how those two fell in love, the only time we see them interacting before they have kits is Rowanclaw accusing her of being a traitor, how do you go from that to having kits about 8 moons later?! xD Can't wait to meet Moonpaw! I agree, her name suggests she might be Sunbeam's and Nightheart's daughter; honestly, I expected them to name their kits after some significant moments from their relationship, like Mintkit (after quest for catmint) or Frogkit (after Nightheart's first trial in ShadowClan), but Moonpaw still works great^^ Also, with her "having visions", she will likely be a medicine cat apprentice, especially since every arc since The New Prophecy had 1 medicine cat as POV... aaaand that would make her Jayfeather's apprentice is she really is from ThunderClan! Which is AWESOME, because Jayfeather losing his shit with Alderheart was the best part of A Vision of Shadows for me and what I wanted the most from 9th arc was seeing it again! xD Also, I am hoping she isn't the only new arrival in ThunderClan; I know TBC and ASC both happen during a single year, but it still is weird that through two arcs only a single litter of kits was born. (I know ThunderClan is kinda big already, but that could actually work with the story of this arc, could tackle the problem of overpopulation; I suppose it was briefly tackled in Sun's Trail, but it was solved in a few chapters) Gotta say, having two elders as POV will be interesting change. Kinda hilarious to think that a bunch of geriatric cats will be walking around trying to solve the problem ;p It's kinda like that movie where they send a bunch of retired astronauts to destroy a meteor or something? Anyway, I hope Brambleclaw and Squirrelstar will be involved in some way, despite them not being on a cover this time, though I would imagine that Tawnypelt might be reluctant to involve Brambleclaw if he still needs to recover. Anyway, I can't wait to see where this new arc takes us^^
I think it would be more likely for the clans to move. When prey was scarce the TNP, they had to move. Plus, if they don’t have a connection to StarClan, I think it the clans would agree to move. The new territories might be connected to the “Ivypool’s Heart” book. I think that either Whistlepaw or Moonpaw would find the new thing that connects the clans to StarClan. If I were apart of the story team, I’d get tired of using the same territories for multiple arcs.
