THANK YOU not only for the gift of Norm and NYW, but for not monetizing the 'ef' out of these episodes. After rediscovering NYW and watching several episodes here, I cannot believe how timeless these are. They are just as fun, interesting and relevant as they were when I watch these all those years ago on PBS.
Again, I can't express how much I love seeing these again. Myself and several other family members are in the trades, including cabinet & furniture makers. This is my childhood.
Did anyone else get a good tingly feeling inside when that music started at the beginning? 🤤 Thank you Norm and team for posting these videos, brings me back to my childhood and watching these every single weekend morning!
Absolutely, I love the show and it brings back very fond memories of when i was just starting woodworking. Decades later I still learn from Norm Abrams.
I have built the roller stand, and added a 'lid' which allows me to use it as an assembly table. I have since added a Lazy Susan to make it a finishing table for smaller projects.
I remember sitting on my dads lap in the recliner watching Norm and begging my dad for the last sip of his coffee as we watched this show. It inspired me to pursue woodworking and build with my father for the last 30 years.
I love the New Yankee Workshop and I am pretty fascinated by all the applications of AI. Overall the upscaling is quite nice. The saw blade at 3:42 caught my attention though as it morphs from a rip blade to a high tooth count cut off blade!
I have always really enjoyed the New Yankee Workshop programmes, but I get the feeling Norm would use a table saw to sharpen his pencil if he could! As a hobby woodworker I don’t have access to the range of machinery shown here, but it’s still interesting to watch. Maybe it’s time for a video showing how to make the pencil sharpening jig?!
you might enjoy, if you don't already know it, the youtube channel woodworking for mere mortals. It's about projects using simple tools and not so expensive
Yes, faces are still a problem with AI. Especially when he walks out of the workshop at the beginning. He's moving fast towards the camera so there's nothing for the AI to lock onto. Bugs us as well :) I think we got a good balance with the latest one though. Unfortunately it took 18 hours to render :( Let us know what you think: ua-cam.com/video/tbhv5Pj8FLs/v-deo.html
Years ago, the highlight of my Sunday afternoons was to setup the VCR and watch NYWS. It is great to see Norm just as relevant today as he was many years ago. At that time he was the greatest resource for woodworking, especially in video media. There are many sharp guys today on UA-cam and it is great to see that Norm still supplement great content and run along with them. Keep reproducing Norm's videos.
hi i realy like ur work ..is it possible to do a wodden barrol becoz i like to do one but its tricky to make that cut or the angle in the middle ... regards
Many thanks Norm. Some very useful tips there. Big favour please. Can you (or anybody) please tel me where I can buy those nice flannel shirts ONLINE. I particularly want the nice long lapels and NOT a brushed flannel look. Thanks again.

We don't like mid-roll ads either -- Just the double episodes 🙂

Yes, yes I do as well. I hope they know how important they are to some of us. Watching these brings my daily stress down for sure. Thank you Norm

Used to watch Norm all the time and it's great getting to see these videos on youtube. I could use each of these projects in my workshop!
Will there be new yankee workshop t-shirts, hats, coffee mugs available again?
That' would be awesome!
Good idea to let people know they are on UA-cam
I'd get anything you put out.
We'd love to but don't have the infrastructure to manage it yet. Maybe something that doesn't have sizes with possible returns.
What a great episode! Workshop tools like this should be so useful & also contribute to safety.

Your work is second to none may God continue to bless you and your family. Bottom line outstanding.
Amazing design on these "shop helpers"! Excellent Craftsmanship!
Well done, Norm!
The man who started it all!
Love watching The New Yankee Workshop.

It's still not perfect but keeps getting better. It has a hard time with Norm's face because of his glasses, but the tools and wood look fantastic.
The stock cart comes in handy cause it organizes the pieces you need to make a second one.
Nice seeing the Delta Radial Arm Saw making an appearance....
Use repair couplers which are made to slide back to allow pipe in, then put back to solder.
outstanding workmanship
Right On! 🙌 great episode Norm! Thanks!
Norm, your Workshop Helpers are amazing, and you couldn't have done your jobs without them! I love you!
These are excellent designs.

This AI HD is fantastic
I don’t know, his face morphing like Odo on an acid trip in the intro was quite creepy.

And here I thought Nooom Abrams was Dead Apparently Not!
Hand Crafted Toothpicks.. continue !
The Holy Grail . . . an episode I've never seen before . . .
It's one of our most popular plans since they are so helpful for solo woodworkers like Norm 😀
Norm was a legend
We like to think he still is! 😀
Norm makes it look so easy! I wish I could duplicate his expert effortless execution @#$%!!/
Very nice, Norm. Very cool. They'll come in handy.
ahhhh the wonders of a concrete floor
Dang it man how bout that $30,000 wide belt sander in the shot at the beginning I’d give up both my planner and jointer for one of them!!!!!
Huh, one I haven't seen before. And the measured drawing is for all 3 items for $10! ($9.95).
Loving these…brings back so many memories, but refresher course….Will and where the plans be made available? Also the plans for the Router Cabt…
All the plans are available on the website:

@@newyankeeworkshop Thanks Norm
Will there be new yankee workshop t-shirts, hats, coffee mugs available again?. These are excellent designs..
Ah back when cabinet grade woods weren't pocket breaking and affordable.

The AI HD looks incredible. Curious what this was originally shot in..
Is the eight sided poker table episode on UA-cam? Hoping so!
Not yet. That's season 18 but we will get to it.
Many thanks Norm. Some very useful tips there. Big favour please. Can you (or anybody) please tel me where I can buy those nice flannel shirts ONLINE. I particularly want the nice long lapels and NOT a brushed flannel look.
Thanks again.
Most of Norm's shirts come from LL Bean.
If anyone replicates this they sell no stop plumbing couplings that would eliminate that filing step.
Are these helpers still in the shop?
Yes. The Roller Stand is under the table saw, the Tool Stand is holding a small planer and Stock Cart has everything but stock on it :)
Keep on keeping on Norm! 👍🏾
Sometimes all machines are on the same height
Had to ask. Why no wedding ring in this episode?
He said internet
lol, It does seem out of place doesnt it!? As if we are taken back to some ancient time watching these videos,.....now on the internet
pbs
OK now you're just showing off
