It took a few decades, but I finally understand how Vegeta felt when everyone started becoming a Super Saiyan around him...
It's like a Galactus bargain sale.
Decades? I'm surprised you didn't realize earlier.
How old are you lmao
@@buggs6608 Decades old.
There are two people using your name with different profile pictures
The fact that Oblivion himself had to show up with the Living Tribunal tells you the situation was getting too real
great to see oblivion getting some more respect. he always seems to be the one getting swept under the rug as far the big 4 abstracts go
Then again with oblivion being a concept that outreaches the marvel mitos, theres no much you can do with it that doesnt imply just watching everything go down.
@@ParagonGoetia isn’t oblivion the canvas of the writer ?
@@cristopherpino9689 it depends on representation. Unlike the one above all the entity itself could be thrown to anything and work within it.
Its basically implied that he never does something because he just enjoys to watch as it's already won. In a way the Main marvel universe has become part of oblivion already in another point in time and/or an exact replica is already part of him.
The canvas is just a way to say that anything, DC, Marvel, etc. Can work in correlation with it. Even our world if we go into that.
Oblivion is the concept of nonexistence. He rules everything the others don't. He has already won because everything that currently *is* has not yet been or will no longer be at some point.
People get so bogged down in Oblivion's relation (and supposed equivalency) to Eternity, Infinity, and Death, but we never see him when the other cosmic entities are getting taken down. Even when Thanos got the Cosmic Regulator and absorbed everyone up to the Living Tribunal and One Above All, no sign of Oblivion. You don't even see any features of him appear on Thanos, so it's not like it happens off panel. You better believe people will fixate on that one time Infinity got a TKO tho.🙄
I love seeing the cosmic entities and beings this powerful. Especially Oblivion who we rarely see, this was pretty epic!
I was nerding out when his op self showed up
"Becoming Galactus" Tuesday nights at 8!
"Becoming Phoenix Force" Season 11, Monday nights at 8!
And don't miss becoming superman, now in syndication on the wb!!
Wait… if u toss planets at Galactus, would that be considered a galactic food fight?
Considering that life on that planet would be wiped out, you definitely got dark humor there 👀👀👀👀
Galactus: "Each galaxy or entity that gazes into it perceives it differently. Just as I am perceived differently by each of you".
Also Galactus - looking exactly the same to everyone since the beginning of comics.
Rob really out here saying Galactus should just eat his own vomit so he never goes hungry. 😄😄
I mean, I kind of find it more like "Rumination" thing with cows and other cattles. But yeah, u not wrong 😂😂🤣🤣
he didn't kill himself rob, he died from injuries he got fleeing his planet he was in a panic trying to record what happened before he bled out
The most damning part is that he doesn’t have a giant goatee.
Man, I love seeing the cosmic entities come back together again and this story is pretty awesome
HELL YEAAAAHH!!!!
Rob, at 16:17 you say we don't know what universe this is but we do by way of the current doctor doom series issue 10. that universe was an idyllic universe that resulted from Dr. Doom and reed Richards becoming friends. Dr. Doom basically destroyed it because doom told doom that his armor was ridiculous.
haha that's so Dr. Doom.
that might not be necessarily true, there probably isnt just one destroyed universe out there.
@@ccshumshum8104 when you read the comic, there's an annotation that says to read dr.doom #10 for the details on what universe they're in. I agree there are many destroyed universes out there but this one specifically is the one doom destroyed.
@@xXLiLJokerXx so the universe that Doom doomed?
@@Novids2watch yeah. Love that pun though 😂😂🤣🤣🙌🏼🙌🏼
Gotta say this series was really lacking for a couple months but MAN these last couple issues have been AMAZING!! Definitely got me invested in the next couple issues!
Yea! I was especially surprised when Galactus used the molecular time beam to make Iron-Man think he was the Zodiac!
When you see every single powerhouse come together! You know things just got serious! That just blew my mind!
Oblivion's design is badass 👌
Thanks for the exposure to this. I had been pretty bored with comics for a couple months. This one made it a little better.
The power cosmic is like the heart of the universe. Boundless energy that has limits to its usage
I've always hated this too because it's contradictory. How can a power be boundless as the power cosmic, heart of the universe, enigma force, or quasar bands yet have displayed limits in their use?? Worst case they comes across to me as plot devices. At best they come across as half baked ideas that were thrown in to up the cool factor of a story. I really wish we could see things like this handled more masterfully.
@@risk19l I think a better idea would've been that it's not the power that has limits but the user or the physical form of the entity.
@@risk19l like a faucet hanging over a bowl. You can only pour to the bowl’s limit, but if you pour a fucking ocean on it the bottle breaks. The faucet will stream as much water as you want but you can only use the amount in the bowl right? So you have limited use but infinite flow.
@@risk19l there are different degrees of omnipotence. If you give a mortal man power that rates in the scale of trillions it will seem like a boundless source of power. but again you could give that same person power in the scale of quintillions and be even more powerful. The power itself is so vast that we cant even comprehend the difference but one would clearly outmatch the other.
Finally Iron man gets some love. Maybe he will be able to put a cocky Thor or cocky banner in their place for once instead of always being the butt of the joke.
THIS IS ACTUALLY THE BEST IRON MAN STORY THUS FAR FOR ME....IM INTO THE GOD THING WHEN ITS WRITTEN PROPERLY
Glad u liked it man. Iron man as a character hasn't been a "big deal" for so many years fam
The ideas in the story are great but the execution is garbage
I’ve been waiting for this vid for so long!!! Swear that whole iron man run was slept on
Loved the background music, very nostalgic
Love your work man, sending love from Sydney, Australia 🙏💚🧙♂️
Perfect way to end the work day. Love listening to thee while I drive home.
I feel like Marvels been getting more existential with Immortal Hulk and now this, and I'm here for it.
been waiting on this video for a long time. and i wish i could express my excitement seeing that it’s out
Hey rob your content is the high point of my day keep it up
I love seeing oblivion pop in just to tell the cosmic entities they ain't sh!t like a boss
He still takes orders from LT.
Great stuff. Keep it up.
Man that poor guy lost everything in that short battle. :(
Subscribed. I love this
Hey Rob you should do a video about the World Ship. Hell, you've honestly left the realm of artifacts largely untouched. Call it Omega/Beyond Omega Level Artifacts or something and that could work.
there are a bunch of other things he could cover on that series. like the tactigon. that thing needs more recognition
Excellent suggestion
oh love this
Wouldn't Galactus's worldship be beyond Omega level due to the fantastic things it can do and has done?
Love u rob ur amazing💯💪🏽
So is like galactus just cracking some eggs when he eats a planet or does like sometimes he crack one that has a partial celestial plop out
That was very clever and funny. So much so. That marvel should iterate. And illustrate that at some point. Just imagine it.
That comic probly wouldn't be worth money. But worth a laugh
This was awesome
Loving this iron man run. It just feels so epic.
Yess
Originally thought it was silly for Korvac to be a threat but if it's because Galactus is essentially dead, it makes more sense now. Definitely curious how this will play out.
It's already silly that iron man can "become" galactus 😂
What kind of writing is this bullshit? 😂
@@norpriest521 he didn't become Galactus, Robb doesn't know what he's talking about
@@oluwadamilola6233 As usual
To the bit on Galactus, personally I prefer vast cosmic forces remaining unexplained or at least having multiple interpretations, even to us the reader. Yeah it'd be neat and convenient to go This Is It, but then yer stuck with it. Until you or Editorial decides to change it, I. Which case why be attached to the previous?
Having the ability to phone god, or similar entity, and ask them what their purpose and design for the world is, means you can't have heresies or misinterpretations; just fewer stories you can tell. Also, an adult cannot explain everything they know to a child; why would it be different for a cosmic entity to a mortal? Even a wildly talented mortal like a superhero?
Actually yes, you can have 'heresies' and 'misinterpretations'.
Why? Because at the end of it all... I think that the creators of the Universe are/were just as fallible and flawed as we are because we created them or other flawed being created them. Not omniscient... not omnipotent... extremely powerful yes but nowhere near either of those two things.
You really should cover Death of Steven Strange, this Elsa Bloodstone story is gonna be pivotal 🙏
*Doctor
Tony: "You throw another moon at me,
and I'm gonna lose it."
I love oblivion. He has such cool design.
Bro honestly with all of Rob’s Metaphors, analogies and similes I am surprised He never got into music 🎶 🎙 cause He be spitting them MC bars!
I remember Galactus and tyrant fighting... They wiped away galaxies with their blows
Galactus won most of his battles 1on 1 if you take away thos what if zombie type battles
That was before Tyrant lost his original powers.
@@alissa6 yea G depowered him and vowed never to make a herald so powerful again
Cantwell has appropriately used several things that Galactus has in his toolkit quite well here. And his expansion of how the power cosmic works and how it is used was a good way to give depth to its role with the cosmology in the Marvel comics multiverse.
This is one of those stories where you bring in every underused character in danger of slipping into public domain if they aren’t used from time to time.
Been waiting to get a power list for him lol
Thanks rob!!!
Woo!! been waiting for this!
I really love marvel's multiverse,so many endless possibilities
Endless money streams for Disney+
I mean... Infinite Possibilities does mean Infinite ends, which means infinite dead universes mixed in with the still living, from every possible point in time, and perhaps one before time even.
This book is super underrated.🤘Christopher Cantwell needs to take over the Fantastic Four🙏
I kinda see your vision.
But the current fantastic four is amazing too man. It's a very enjoyable read. I recommend it 👀👀👀👀
You could do a whole series on lairs. Galactus’ house, the sanctum Santorum, avengers house, etc.
Good job
13:20 Dragon Ball cosmic type battles is a lot more fun that what they do with TChalla and King Doom on Secret Wars, on the astral plane or whatever
16:13 To clarify, Mr. Cantwell wrote a ten issue mini series "Doctor Doom".
It happens in the last issue of the series. I'd recommend you this because it's got pretty good character writing for doctor doom. Kinda like the infamous iron man to some extent.
Didn't care for the ending though. Felt.. kind of rushed and out of character.
I’m just glad somebody else realized what story that’s from it clearly said in the iron man book what story it came from and rob just acted like it came out of nowhere lol
When music and the deep voice kick in. Wel done great combo, keep it up.
....
Song names? xd
Iron man becomes God, meanwhile, silver surfer gets to ride a board. Someone got scammed by the power cosmic
😆 so true
It's funny howin the panels of tony saying "I will help it so much more" he looks especially like Ultron. Reminds me of the mcu movie
"I will help my universe"
That sounds like change, IronMan. So.... no, I doubt you will.
Correction: The scribe doesn't kill himself, he escapes with a critical injury to where his liver would be. If he had a liver: 12:41
Thanks to the leader of the Rob Corps for continuous output
A video of Galactus World ship would be appreciated it’s underdone
Coolest title to catch my eye. What a cool concept.
I like the title of Iron God at 11:34 ;)
Hey Rob, I'm glad I subscribe to your channel. Haven't regretted it. I watched most of your videos you post. I miss the intro with the music. I wondering what it called.
I was totally thinking they were going to take Tony's cosmic powers away. That just seems like a way to reset things, like they always do. Interesting to see what comes of it.
They probably will since it takes place before the current events.
@@rinaoxex5814 yeah...
I personally don't even like Tony's persona in the devil's reign man. (And I like devil's reign so far but still...)
@@superanimetube8316 well, It's the daredevil writers who are making him like this not Christopher Cantwell.
Top 20 most powerful DC characters please!
Really Rob a new writer comes along and change thing’s some is good with this run but really cosmic Ironman is crazy
Wait a second was that the fabulous Frogman kicking quarterback in the face? I remember come from the Spider-Man books where the second iteration of the Frogman save the original and actually gave Spider-Man a much-needed pick me up through praise when Spider-Man took down one of his greatest villains the wars with the single punch
The guy at the end doesn’t kill himself, he dies of blood loss while writing.
Tony never chills out
Oblivion: Eh, let him play. He’ll tire himself out
The art for this series is amazing!
Been waiting for this one Rob, thank you sir!!
Cosmic hierarchy confirmed street level
I would love a video on Tah II.
Beyond Omega level. World ship of Galactus.
Bet the living tribunal is watching them and eating popcorn.
Galactus is just going around eating celestial wombs. Got it.
Lol is that frog man 🤣
Doesn't seem the guy kills himself, seems he was already wounded when he left his planet and dies at the end from that same wound
Yeah, he actually just d!es, not su!cide. Because remember, he had MINUTES to evacuate after their star exploded.
But man, that's a very BIG THING. Essentially, it means Iron God and Korvac's battle led to the GEN0C!DE of an entire planet.
Nice
Dude I would love to explore the galactus world ship that would be awesome ✌️💚🤘
Sweet 👍
kinda like dumping off Owlman on a godforsaken rock where everybody's already dead so he can't destroy the multiverse
FOR AARON WILDER:
ROB JEFFERSON, HEAR OUR CRY CHARACTER EXPLAINED: HERO ZERO(DARK HORSE COMICS)
Not a title I expected to see today but let's go.
Hey Rob, just to let you know tmnt the last ronin issues two three and four are out. Also could you please cover the boys epilogue and dear Becky.
Please do a video on the World Ship!!!
The thing I never understood was how Galactus could bestow power to beings (such as silver surfer). Where they have power that is self sustaining. Yet Galactus couldn't bestow such power unto himself
Genies can grant wishes, but can't use the magic on themselves. Similar logic, it seems.
Probably because Galactus’ much greater power/metabolism can’t be sustained by absorbing ambient energies like the Heralds do.
Bigger scale, bigger requirements to sustain
Where's the Phoenix at ? Good to see Oblivion behaving himself after the whole Knull situation lol
Next video “Rocket Raccoon becomes the Beyonder”
Patsy looks like she’s in the Bat family 😂
Ngl, when I first saw her character, I was like, yo, why's a batwoman/Batgirl here in a Marvel comic? 😂😂🤣🤣
NOW I WANNA KNOW where this story goes!
I did not know that this was a thing. I must get my hands on this issue. Also Galactus is worldship is also an emergency ration as it was shown in the first Secret Wars where he could consume it for power
Kool I'd didn't know the Underworld movies are Marvel cannon now! Go half werewolves and vampire dude
17:29 lol, did Iron Man use the power cosmic to give his suit lips 😂😂😂?
I think back to when Galactus was stuck in dormamu's realm and was hungering for power and think that he consumes large amounts of energy just by existing. So I imagine the power cosmic wielded by someone who does not drain it inherently could do a lot more with it. This also being on top of the role galactus plays and his natural instincts.
Glad to see Skeletor in this
Maybe you can compare other ships with Galactus?
