Hello all of you, thank you for sharing your adventures and treasures with us! So many beautiful gems!
Glad you enjoyed it
That last seam agate is just awesome. That's better than any rock I've ever found.
These seam agates along the Bay of Fundy come in a variety of patterns and colors. Some spots are harder to get to than others. This one was found in a spot where the tide can be dangerous if you don't time it right.
@@RockhoundingLife I'm glad I don't have to worry about tides. Are these a different variety than the ones you found in the river with your friend? Those looked really cool, but I don't remember the white in them. The contrast between the red and white really makes these great.
@@MichiganRocks The flame seam agates I was finding in the river are in a younger basalt unit about 50kms away from the spot these cherry plume seam agates were found. This cherry plume seam agate was found in the cliff face along the Bay of Fundy shoreline. The Nova Scotia side of the Bay of Fundy is rich in basalt. There are 7 different basalt flows in the region spanning about 400km of shoreline. This results in a huge variety of agates and seam agates that you can find from these basalt as well as Zeolites and other minerals.
@@RockhoundingLife I remember you showing the geological map of your area. It's cool that there is so much variety that is right from that general area. A lot of the variety here is from glaciers moving rocks in. Different, but still good.
Yay! You made it to 1000!! Congratulations Boys!
From a fellow rockhounder in Ontario
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: Those are so beautiful. Polish a face and who wouldn't want that as a gift. Most of us can't slab and polish rocks. I had to part with my lapidary equipment when my health got bad so I really appreciate the beauty of a well worked rock. Life is better 'on the rocks'.
How wonderful! One surprise after another!
I imagine so many beautiful pendants out of these.
I'm glad you saved that plume seam agate til last, it was the cherry on top! Gorgeous!
🍒🍒🍒👍
Every single peice was absolutely amazing!
Thanks man!
Incredible collection!!! I love all of them!!! But most I like, it’s two little agates siting close to you, helping washing the rocks.... I am sending very very warm hugs to them from Portland Oregon! Thank you for shearing!!!
🙏🙌🔥
That cherry plume agate was spectacular!
Thanks! It really is a pretty rock.
Wow! That cherry plume!😍
🍒🔥😀
Absolutely stunning rocks.
🙏🙌
The Cherry Plume makes me want some pie. All the cuts were sweet. Great video guys.
It looks good enough to eat doesn't it!
Wow!!! Unbelievable how beautiful they all turned out. The black agate and the jasper colors in the cycad trees is so awesome, and the seam agates all turned out stunning! Love the last 2 agates so much. I cant wait for the next ones you cut! Im sure you have some more favorites up next.
Thanks!! We've got a lineup of rocks waiting to get cut so there will definitely be more coming in the coming weeks and months!!
That last seam agate is unbelievable ! Great work guys !
Thank you! 🙏
The cherry plume seam agate is phenomenal!
🍒🔥
Those are beautiful!!!! Flame agate and cherry plum are gorgeous!!!
Thank you so much!
I really really appreciate hearing your thought process for where you decide to cut, and seeing what the rough looked like as you decide the angle. Sometimes I get stuck there, at the point of cutting, which direction to go
Yes it can be a struggle trying to determine the best way to cut something. Sometimes you just have to go with your gut and hope for the best! Thanks for watching!
I really like the petrified cycad but the fire agate is even more beautiful then the cherry plume seam agate is absolutely awesome and it's my favorite. Keep up the great videos I enjoy watching them.
Thanks! Its hard to top that cherry plume!!
Nice shots of deer. Love rockhounding here in Michigan. Lovely pieces.
Thanks!! Michigan has some really cool rocks! Love the puddingstone!!
Great video with help from the boys! Loved that last se agate, but the fractured one was awesome too! Looks like you're going to hit 1K! 🌞
Thanks!! 🤞🤞
I'm a huge fan of Ghibli films, no wonder I saw No face from Spirited Away appear in the beautiful chunk of wood. So cool how these rocks surprise you :) I really look forward to more cutting results!
So cool!! Thanks!
Love the 16in saw, that works great. Great cuts, amazing pieces. These turned out great, love all the agates!
Thanks a bunch!
Those rocks are awesome! Great content!
Thanks!!
Really enjoyed this! Thank you. My favorite was the one that had what looked like iridescent fire in it. Second favs are the cherry bloom pie looking pieces.
Thanks for watching!!🍒🔥🙌
Words escape me on Gods creations, they’re just beautiful 😍
Beautiful,love the variety
Thanks Kathy!
WOW, Amazing rocks
🙏🤙
The cutting is beautiful, it is great to have this to do with your boys. I look at some and think how they would look if cut sliced and made in to a pendent.. keep up the work i enjoy watching, i am getting too old to do myself. God bless you and yours and keep youall healthy
Thanks!! I probably wouldn't be doing this as much without them! Happy New year!!
that seam agate was very sweet.. nice
Thanks. Just came back from a trip where I got some more of that cherry seam agate. Video will be out in a couple of weeks.
I Love this video! The deer! Cutting the petrified wood! It's all beautiful, and your boys are great helpers! The fire n cherry! Is just WOW! Thankyou for taking the time to show this, Im in Massachusetts, I don't know how to identify petrified wood .. I will learn.. Blessings to you all !!🍁☄
Its my pleasure to show these rocks from our area! Petrified wood is more common than you think. There may be some locations that have it close to you.
@@RockhoundingLife Thankyou for your response fellow rockhound! I've found many rocks I think are beautiful on the ocean beaches near me, I will look for petrified wood, (once I know what I'm looking for ) lol! Be Well! Blessings!☄🌅
The cherry plume was so beautiful.
🙌🍒🔥
Virginia white tail.. love it. The cherry plume seam agate is absolutely spectacular. Just goes to show, there are still great finds to be had. Really nice eh?
I usually find one nice shelf quality seam agate per year. This year I found three!!
Great video. My two favorite pieces are the two branch petrified wood, and the fire agate. Both of them are absolutely beautiful.
Thanks!! The flame agate was a bit fractured but I agree with you it is still beautiful because of the color and patterns it shows. Thanks again fir watching!
Awesome video, guys! My favorites are the flame agate and the cherry plume seam agate. I have never seen that before. Its spectacular. You’re also getting very creative with the filming, nice to see, and the deer were a special treat. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much!! Feel free to give us feedback on what you'd like to see us do differently or add to the content!!
Looks like a couple of good helpers you have. Nice pieces and good work. Havagudun bud.
Yhey are good helpers when they want to be!! Thanks!!
Some beautiful pieces! When I first started watching rock cutting and polishing I couldn’t figure out what a sea maggot was…. 😂
You are doing great, keep up the wonderful work you all do. God bless.
Thank you so much!
I never mind a few fractures because they tell more of the story of where the rock has been. (Or maybe the agates I find in the Yellowstone River have just been beaten up for millennia, so I’m prejudiced. ) Thanks, guys, nice video.
With agates I like the banded parts shiny and the rest/host rock a little rough. I like the jasper to be rounded smooth and shiny. Thanks for watching!!!
Very nice
THAT CHERRY PLUME AGATE IS THE BOMB!
😀🔥🍒
new blades are great!
Cut just like butter!
Beautiful stones and beautiful to see a great Dad inspiring a passion in his kids. As someone who didnt have a good Dad like u, good work. These moments will enrich their lives.
And as a newbie rockhounder from OR, who began going out to the beach for agates daily a few months back when I realized how awesome my new home state is for this hobby, I really loved this video and how thoroughly you explained for ppl like me just learning. I'm hoping to get a saw in a couple months. LOVED the fire agate, WOW!!😍Happy to have discovered your channel. Subbed! Happy holidays.
Thanks a lot for all of those kind words. It is very rewarding to know our content is having a positive impact on people. Oregon is a very rich rockhounding state. There is beautiful petrified wood in various locations there. Thanks for the support!!
Great video Jason ,A new blade makes a big difference,The cherry turned out great,Keep up the cutting!Good job boys!
Thanks for the specimen. There were hardly any fractures in it at all!

Cherry plume agate is sensational.
💯🍒
I have a large 25lbs petrified wood that's needs to be cut....!i Found in Texas great video.!!ii
Thanks!! I used to live in Texas but never got to rockhound much. Was always busy with work.
On the big piece where the Agate runs out of the side, would it be easier and less of a risk if grind that side flat with the blade instead of cut it?
It would be interesting if you could cut a piece of cherry plume agate horizontally along the white agate just in the area where it meets the red plumes I think it would create some amazing looking pokadot agate.
Hmm.....I've never thought of that. If I ever get more pieces (hopefully next year) then I may try that!
I subscribed! I hope your boys get their Christmas wish!
Thanks for that and I hope we can keep you coming back k with our content! Feel free to comment leaving suggestions on what you'd like to see or us to include or do differently.
You find some beautiful rocks and I enjoy your videos a lot. Hope the kids are into it also. Something that would be fun to do with Dad.
My two oldest boys are into it hard-core. My youngest boy has other hobbies & interests right now that keep him from coming with us all the time. But he's still young and has time to come around!
Nice 👌
Thanks 😊
And here you are a year later at almost 5 and a half thousand!

👍🙌🙌
16" saw... oh my goodness... nice... I am going foolish looking at the seam agate...carrying it all over the house...
The cherry plume is amazing...
It can be mesmerizing!
@@RockhoundingLifeeven though it's fractured a little backlight and it just pops... in a Camera looks even better... I remember finding quartz seamed stone when I was a kid with the orange in it... among others with banding... but never had the opportunity to cut into it... or take it home... and there is nothing like it when you finally get to...
Is it deer hunting season where you live?
Deer season just ended here in Nova Scotia.
@@RockhoundingLife that's always how it goes
Oh no I'm so sorry your rock slipped, and broke, or just broke, so sorry
🙏
Its ok. It still turned out pretty cool
@@RockhoundingLife it did turn out great
