I grew up watching you on WHBQ-TV, you would come on right after Mid-South Wrestling, you were sponsored by Surplus City and I learned how to set the hook on a bass by watching you, when I use to do my chores on Saturday, when your music came on, my parents would let me stop doing my chores just to watch and learn from you, then on Sunday’s I would watch Virgil Ward, I appreciate you Bill, I’m doing BFL’S here in Georgia in the Bulldog Division, my first tournament is Lake Lanier next Saturday on the 18th, as I’m fishing as a Co-Angler until I get my boat, I am originally from Memphis, but living in Georgia now, and I’m also entering your contest daily, I truly can’t wait to meet you and fish with you, and I also have your Bill Dance Exclusive Rod, 7’2” MH, for my jigs, again THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU BILL., I hope I didn’t sound like Gomer Pyle 😀
You're an absolute legend BIll. I grew up watching you on Saturday mornings in Northern California and it really inspired me to be the outdoorsman I am today. You're the best there is, the best there was and the best there will ever be.
I love Bill’s show and I love being able to watch it, but why is the audio so low? I have to turn it up *loud* to be able to hear it, and when UA-cam sticks yet another ad in front of my face the volume of the commercial nearly blows out my eardrums!
I have more spinnerbaits in my tackle bag than any other type of lure. They're so versatile, can be jigged, jerked, run slowly along the bottom, and they're extremely productive.
Give them a chance again. It's one of the few lures I know I can catch em on no matter what. Especially good on overcast windy days. Use a medium to slow retrieve or burn it across the top. If the water is dirty use a Colorado blade if it's cleaner use willow.
Yes, that is exactly how you should fish from the bank if you are targeting largemouth, regardless of the lure you are fishing. You will greatly increase you success rate by doing that
Slow down your retrieve, or speed it up; figure out which bite the fish want on a given day. Sometimes, they're lazy and held near the bottom or just not moving much, so a slow roll retrieve keeps the bait in the strike zone longer and triggers more bites from lazy fish. When they're active and hunting, though - late spring through fall - you basically can't reel em fast enough; burn em just below the surface so that the bait wakes and boils but just slow enough not to come all the way out of the water. You'll get blown up on, trust me.
Literally my GO TO when it comes to catching largemouth. One of the greatest lures ever made.

Spinnerbaits. 1 of the few baits, that can be fished from just under the surface/waked to the bottom slow rolled & all depths in between
